View 8 RepliesHow I could create a magnifying glass graphic using Adobe Photoshop? I did do a search but it mostly came up with instructions or info on how to create one that'll also actually have a "magnifying" or "glassy" look to it.
While just I want to create a simple one, just containing a circle and an handle attached to it. Kinda like the following:

And in case you're wondering why I don't use the above, I'd like to create one with my own colors.
I have Photoshop 7, FlashMX & FireworksMX available to me.
I am trying to create a graphic that appears as a semi-transparent canvas (about 300 x 200 pixels) upon which some solid text and images are overlaid,
How do I create such a graphic?
What file format can such a graphic be saved as? i.e. can the layers be merged or not?
Can such an image be exported into FlashMX?
Ultimately I want these images (there will be many slightly different versions of this basic design) forming info panels that will pop-up in an interactive FlashMX Movie. The pop up will be triggered by a roll-over.
I need to create a slightly cloudy background for a trade show graphic. On a small scale, the Filter > Render > Clouds trick works fine. But when I do this on a huge scale... it's not so cute (see attached). Is there a way to create "clouds" on a large scale?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to create background lines.
If you look where it is blue and there is the 4 cubes beside the pixelbrick logo the background blue has strokes or lines that looked beveled out of the solid blue.
Does anyone know of a tutorial or a site that may explain how to do this? I dont mind redrawing the graphic, but i would like vector graphic made.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have created a snow scene and added a wide black background.
I have been trying without any luck to add a bevelled edge to the background where it meets the photo. The idea is to make the black background look like a card frame around the photo. I think the bevelled edge would be referred to as a pillow bevel with chisel corners.
when using the bevel and emboss tool in the layer style menu, to make a sharp inner corner? I was working on creating a frame using hard chisel bevel - it makes the outside of the frame have a sharp corner, but the inside is rounded. See sample image at: URL....

View 3 Replies View RelatedI brought an Adobe Illlustrator AI file in to 3ds Max and extruded it into the shape I need.

I am fresh on the inventor bandwagon so this may seem remedial.
I have a box shape, open in the front which will be 1 part of a larger furniture unit.
I would like to create a beveled edge along the front face to receive a similarly beveled drawer.
This has been a problem.
I've read that I should look in the surface window and choose planar surface, but the inventor 2012 that I have has no planar surface tab.
So, any better way to create a bevel on an open box.
I am trying to model . How to give the beveled profile around the top and bottom. In the attachment I have made the shape that I want to subtract from the nut but it will not let me do it.

I have this compound path (green in the print screens below) which I would like to apply a bevel effect on.
It seems as if the compound path is fine but when I apply the bevel effect, the result is as image 2. How can I solve this so that all of the beveled effect is smoothly and unite instead of rectangles popping out etc... ?
Is not possible to apply Drop Shadow directly to a beveled object? I can get this only after converting object to bitmap.

I tried to apply a transparency to a beveled rectangle and was unsuccessful to get any effect to apply. Tried to make the bevel first and then apply transparency and vice-versa, a transparent rectagle and tried to do bevel effect. Neither way would work.
Don't they play nice together, or do I have to try it in PP?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhy is it that I cannot add a drop shadow to an extruded and beveled shape? Is this one capability that CorelDraw X5 is lacking?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI create a graphic in Corel Draw X4 and export it as a .png file. It is a button with rounded corners. It will be going on a black background when put into an iphone app. So as to not have the little white corners show up from the rectangular export window, I made the button on top of a black rectangle, slightly larger than the button. I then selected the black to be transparant during the dialogs of exporting to png. When viewed in an image viewer the black is indeed transparent and does not show up. All looks fine.
To test what it will look like when put on top of a black background, I also make a black square and export it as a .png. I then open the black background in Corel Photopaint and then import the graphic into the background image. A siloutte of it shows up with the marque borders but the graphic itself (the colors and contents of the graphic don't). When combined with the black background it just disappears. Why doesn't it just lay on top of the other graphic?
I had a picture of a person. The picture taken in a low light place so the picture was very dark. I wanted to make the picture brighter so that the person in the picture can been see clearly. How to brighten it?
