Photoshop :: Changing Color Of Photo

Mar 13, 2009

I have no clue about photo editing, graphic design, its out of my entire scope. I had hired a grahic designer who has since flaked out on me leaving me hanging high and dry. here is my problem- I have a small (hobby mainly) mineral makeup "company" that I am putting online for my small customers, I had my photographer take the "main" foundation picture and then I was able to have her then change that same photo with my 10 different shades of foundation color- essentially its the same photo except the color/shades are different to correspond with my makeup line.

however, I need 5 more done. I have a jpg of the colors from the manufacturer and of course my original foundation photograph

how on earth you change the color on my foundation to add a new color without taking all new pictures.

Photoshop :: Color Changing When Saving Photo -

Oct 27, 2008

the color makes all the difference in the world to weather you want to buy the coin or not. We use a Nikon to take the pics - Pics come out great, the colors looks like actual coin when viewing in photoshop and in the XP viewer and when we ever have to print the pic. Here's the problem, when we go to save for web its changes the color drastically. A penny that once had a red tone to it now has a brown tone. I've read all over the place for ways to fix it and we've tried them all. Changing the monitor color profile, converting the profile, etc. I understand that everyone's monitors are different and everyone is gonna see it differently anyways, but it would be nice if the pic would like the same on our computer vs the website. It seems like when we first starting do this several yrs ago we didnt have this problem. Has things changed within the program and/or the web to have made these changes happen? Is this something we are gonna have to deal with? We dont have the time to adjust every single picture to make sure the save to web looks right.

Photoshop :: How To Recolor B&W Photo Using Similar Color Photo

Sep 10, 2012

I have two photos, shooted probably the same day, by the same photograph in the same place !But the pose is a bit different. first one is in high resolution and in black & white nuance. second one is a small resolution and in full colors.

I wish re-color the black&white photo using exactly the same nuance from the colored one.

can i "copy" all the colors from the color-one to the b&w one ?

i hope there is a quick way to do that with adobe photoshop or with a commercial plugin. Something like : i load the first one (color), i load the second one (b&n), and i press Ok and magic appears !

Photoshop :: CS6 Not Changing Photo Size

Nov 5, 2013

I have watched a few videos, on changing image size, in cs6, since when I tried it, the photo didn't change size at all. I could change it to 1 million inches tall, and it will stay the same size. I don't really know what to do. I've tried unlocking the default layer, and changing the canvas size and nothing seems to make this image change size.

I want the image in the picture bigger,  am I even doing it right by going under image, and changing the image size, and hitting ok? That is all the tutorials say to do, yet nothing happens for my image.

Photoshop :: Changing Background On Car Photo

Mar 21, 2013

I'm on a Mac 10.8.2 w/ CS6 13.0.

This is one of the tutorials that seems very straight forward(except for a couple typo's) but when I try it, I'm told the file could not be copied to clipboard because it's too large...however it does appear to paste the car over the bottom photo? Or did it?

"First open one of the shots in PhotoShop and select the entire image by pressing Ctrl-A, then cut or copy the image into the clipboard (Ctrl-X or Ctrl-C, either will do the trick), now close this image ... without saving ! Very important, we don't want to change the original image file, you never know you might need it again in the future.

Now create a new document (Ctrl-N) and just click 'OK', no need to change any of the settings, they are set to the content of the clipboard anyway so I can leave them 'as is'. Once the blank document is there hit the Ctrl-V to paste the first image into place. Time to open the second exposure, again Ctrl-A to select the entire shot, cut or copy the image (Ctrl-X or Ctrl-C) and close this file again (Ctrl-W)... do NOT safe the changes to keep the original image intact !

With this second image closed again I am automatically returned to my new document that already contains my first exposure, just hit Ctrl-C to paste the second exposure on top of this one and I'm halfway done already. The order of these shots isn't really that important, you will be exposing parts of one shot into the second one, which one lies below doesn't matter anyway."

Let's say the screen shot below is workable, if not I'll do it the correct way BUT how do I make the brillant layer masking work from here. Everything I've seen says to select the mask, then select the brush, then type of brush, make sure white is the foreground and black is background and just paint. When I paint nothing happens to my images?

Then I've tried going to File>Scripts>Import as Stacks and this seems to bring them in but w/ transparent layers underneath,

Photoshop :: Changing Sky/getting More Than 1 Photo In Layers Box

Oct 16, 2007

I am trying to replace the gray sky in one photos with the blue sky from another.

I've just gone through several tutorials but can't seem to figure out how to add more than 1 photo into the layers palette.

I open PS CS3, click on the top menu 'file', click "open", click the photo, click 'open' and the photo appears in the layers palette on the right side.

Then I repeat the process with a 2nd photo, and instead of being added in the layers box on the right as a 2nd photo, it replaces the first photo.

If I click the little box at the bottom 'new layer', I just get the blank checkerboard opacity.

How can I get 2 photos to open in the layers box?

Photoshop :: Changing Photo To Just Four Colours, and Seperating

Aug 28, 2005

I need to change a photo into just four colours in preperation for producing a litho, this will allow me to have an image for each seperate colour, that when each colour is printed on the same paper, it makes up the final image, a bit like screen printing.

If you try the 'cutout' filter on a picture and adjust the amount of levels to 4, you will see the sort of thing I am trying to produce.

What I intend to do is once the image is seperated, create 3 other copies, then delete all unwanted colour sections, minus the colour I need for this particular part of the picture.

I have tried by converting the image to "indexed colour" and selected black and white, then entering 4 colours here.

This does give me 4 colours, however when I try to just select one of the colours and remove it, it looks like there is an underlying colour, i.e this colour selected is actually made up from two of the colours, as if it is mixed.

Photoshop :: Changing A Photo Image Into A Graphic

Nov 5, 2008

it came with my CS3. My OS is Windows XP. I have 1 G of RAM.

I am interested in changing a photograph into a flat graphic image like clip art. I do not know what it is called and so I don't know how to look it up for directions. But I think it must be possible as I have seen someone do it without permission to a sample of my artwork. I assume they took a photo of the art and then converted it some way to a graphic.

I thought this might be an affect one can use on a photo, but again, I don't know what the right terms are.

I am trying to work with some artists in mexico with their weaving. We are using elements 11 on vista 7. We would like to change colors in a piece to see if they are pleasing to the eye. Is it possible to change colors thoughout the whole piece at once? Using a brush to paint over each and every area would be so time consuming as their work is quite intricate. If this is not possible on Elements does Adobe have another software that would accomplish this task.

Photoshop :: Changing CMYK Black Of Background Of Photo

Jan 19, 2011

While designing an album cover...

Album booklet to be printed in CMYK, obviously. I have an RGB photo, mostly black. After converting it to CMYK and using the channel mixer to return to the original brilliance, the black is CMYK 100-92-85-98. This is obviously too long of a black... way too much ink... using thin white fonts over it prints terrible, etc. How do I adjust the black of the image to something more favorable to printing, like 60-40-40-100?

Corel PHOTO-PAINT X5 :: Do Color Tint On A Photo?

Jan 4, 2012

Is there an easy way to do color tints on a photo in PhotoPAINT? And by that I don't mean just correcting the tint, I mean converting a regular photo into one that has a single color tint (e.g., yellow, red, etc.). I've tried graying it out and then adding a transparent color layer over it, but I'm not getting the result I'm looking for.

Also, while I'm at it, are there any (current) books out that cover PhotoPAINT in depth? I know that the official DRAW book has a section on it, but it's pretty basic.
