If I move my cursor within 25 pixels of a transform control, it activates it. So, on smaller objects it becomes impossible to slide them. Because every time I have the mouse over the object, it is snapping to a transform handle.Thus, when I click, I am now either rotating or scaling the object.
Is there some way to limit this active area to only 3 pixels around the handle, or turn off the cursor snapping to them?
I like the dark skin, but it seems more difficult to grab the bottom of the Color Gallery in order to stretch it down. The Grey was easier. The area where the mouse converts to the double arrow is quite narrow. At least for an old shaky man like me. Is there a REGEDIT value I could change to widen the "active" area of the gallery borders for the purpose of stretching them?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've recently migrated from AutoCAD 2008 (non-industry specific) to AutoCAD 2010 so I don't know if this was an issue in 2009.
Back in 2008, when I choose the 'window' option when specifying a plot area, AutoCAD would show the workspace so that I could manually select a windowed plot area, and at the same time the whole workspace would be greyed out except the previously active window area.
This was handy, because we can have as many two dozen title-blocks (and therefore separate viewports) in paperspace, and knowing what plot area I last plotted or added as a saved page setup.
In 2010, it no longer does that. I now have to rely on the dashed border to know where the active plot area is/was (checked 'display printable area' in options>display tab) which I personally don't really like using.
I'm missing transform handles and unable to edit objects or text boxes in Illustrator CC. How do I fix this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a layer I'm resizing and is currently in Transform.When I beging to drag the layer to position while it is in resize the center reference point will jump to my mouse causing me to move the reference point outside of the tranform layer. Normally I would have to click on the reference point and drag it intentionally or hold CTRL and click in the transformed layer to set a reference point, but it since CS6 is had still remainded in CC.
This happens when I transform the layer (Ctrl+T) and then grab the layer to move. I have to put the reference point back to center via mouse or by the reference point on the menu bar up top. Then I can go back and drag my later where I need it to finish my transform.
I've converted a 2D image into a smart object, dragged into a project then transformed it using the Distort command (similar to how you might distort a 2d image to make it sit inside a photo frame at an angle) . I need to then warp that image around over something that looks like a curved panel thats 2D but looks 3d. Its not a 3d object, but a rendered 2d image that just looks 3d.
I'm using the Transform > Warp tool as Puppet Warp isnt available after using Distort when using Smart objects.
Warp works fine to some extent but I could really do with more handles and smaler grid for more accurate warping rather than the default 3x3 grid & handles..
Possible to add more handles/ nodes/ control points (or whatever they'e called) and/ or increase grid points in the same way Puppet Warp does this so as I drag around I control a tigher & smaller space?
at Fractal type fills how to change the fill handles asymmetrically?
Basically I am trying Angelize's fractal tutorial from Xaraxone, and on the attached picture can be seen that the end fill handles are both pulled to the left. For me they are always in 90 degrees so maybe there is some keyboard short cut to pull them individually?

I'm trying to change the active document window size with vb.net. This seems like it should be straightforward, but I'm having some trouble. Below is some code that I tried to use which I found on the AutoCAD DevBlog.. I thought I understood how this works, but I can't seem to import the correct references to make it work.

I would like to make the active layer name the same as the document name. I know very little about scripting. I found this script:

It does almost what I need it to do. except that it also copies the ".ai" in to the layer name. Is there some way to modify this script to have it exclude or delete the file extension?
Apparently, in the CS3 is impossible to do any scripting and using any actions. Can it be done using plugins sdk, without creating a new document? I tried using the functions SetPageSetup and SetCropBox but no effect
View 6 Replies View RelatedSince Edge only has rectangles and ellipses built in as available shapes, how to I/we work with polygon shapes and active mouseover areas INSIDE of these shapes and non-active mouseover areas OUTSIDE of the shapes?
Problem/symptom: when I import a polygon, be it any file format from from Photoshop or SVG from Illustrator, a rectangular border/background (transparent) gets applied, leading to this rectangle defining the mouseover area of the shape - and not the shape itself (be it a star or whatever).
WHAT I WANT: the very shape defines the mouseover area. How do I achieve this?? See examle below:

Within an IDW file, you can go to the Styles Editor, then click on a standard. On the General tab, there's a drop down for the unit of length.

background info:
I need to paint my house and I want to color the house in Photoshop first to test the color scheme. Currently I set it up so the house is first turned into gray scale, then a color layer is multiply or soft light onto the house to "paint" the house while retaining features of the house. There are several such color layers, each with a layer mask for the walls, the trims, and the garage door.
When I want to change the color of, say the walls, I select that layer and fill it with a new color. But I don't see the new color until I exited the color picker and the fill dialogues. Is there a more interactive way to change color?
Is it possible to change the color of the work area, in PhotoShop Elements 10, from dark grey to light grey. And....maybe do a contrasting Font color for the Toolbar ?

Problem: Transform applied to Smart Object fails to transform an attached Smart Filters Mask.
I mean a Transform, including Free Transform, as found in the Edit menu. A simple move by the Move Tool is OK.
A workaround until this bug is squashed is to encapsulate the Smart Object + Smart Filters + Filter Mask inside another Smart Object and transform that.However, that will not be a satisfactory solution in some cases. If a filter has size parameter(s), e.g. Gaussian Blur radius, a scaling or warping/distorting transform applied after the filter will obviously differ from the filter applied after the transform.
In any case, the workaround is inconvenient to subsequent editing and experimenting with filters and masks.
Been working with PSE11 for a few months. Yesterday it developed a problem. I can no longer click on the layer in the main work area but have to go to the layer panel to select it. What do I need to do to change this back to where it works like it should??
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn previous versions of Revit (pre 2013) when creating an area plan and inserting the area within the created boundaries, I could double click on the 'Area' tag and rename 'area' to something more descriptive which automatically changed the name in the legend to match.
In 2013 this is no longer possible.Even opening a 2012 project, where this procedure worked, once this project is saved in 2013 format it is no longer possible to double click to change - it opens the family tag instead.
How would I go about making the side of his face less bright, how to isolate just that one specific area. (And I no longer have the xcf file saved).
I also noticed that after using the color and saturation tools, there are red lines on the scruff of his cheek. (I discovered that those lines were on the original pic, but they just became more visible after working with the color/contrast/etc). Is there any way that I can "smooth" those red lines without making it look like the dog's breakfast?

How I can change the status of a certain area to transparent?
I know, I can change the "Transparency Alpha" in the colour box, but on screen is still displayed the color. Worse, I need a transparent area for an RPG Maker, and this program doesn't take said area as transparent besides the setting in Paint.net.
