View 5 RepliesI resize and image, Photoshop "brightens" the borders, Why? I would like to just shrink an image, but it adds a one pixel border to the image that is lighter in color than all the pixels next to it making it blatantly obvious that its there. What could that conceivably be useful for, and how do I resize an image without it doing this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have just created a background image at 800x600 to use as my webpage background.
I want to create a border around it as its not quite the full screen size.
I will then just use a background colour in DW.
How would I now add a border to this image?
I'm trying to script a simple action. I would like to make a frame matte around an image, fill it with black, then make a white stroke around the image but have it a few pixels away from the image itself... like this:
Attachment 18286
What I normally do is just create a shape on a layer underneath the image that is the exact size of the image... then transform that shape adding a specified amount of pixels (percent doesn't work, it comes out uneven) to each value. Now, this would be fine if all my images were the same size... but I need to be able to add a set number of pixels... say 10... to an arbitrary set of dimensions (changes each time I crop).
I want to put a old TV as the border for my gif animation. I deleted the tv screen and made it transparent, but I have no clue how add it as a border. My animation has over a 100 frames so it would be impossible to line them all up evenly.

the image background is white and the border is black.
I use Photoshop CS2.
I have a photo that's placed on a larger background. I want to create a 2 pixel white border around the photo. I've tried using the rectangular tool but this doesn't work, I need it to be more precise, how do I do this exactly?
View 1 Replies View RelatedHere's the thing happens :
1- BEFORE (a clean cutted image) :[URL]....
2- Using a plugin : (also with others): [URL]....
3- AFTER (white border) : [URL]....
This is so interesting.I use ''knockout2, remask3'' for cutting and ''Imagenomic Portraite'' for retouching. That never happened in CS4 32-bit.
Now i use CS6 64-bit and whenever i APPLY an effect/filter (include PS's Refine Edge) or plugin, there happens a strong white border/line on the image.
I can delete it by using so many ways like ''contract'' but it kills the details.
why is that happening? This must be an option or something cuz it never happened in any other photoshops that i used.I used the same plugins.
After I made a selection and then go to modify-Border, the border comes out feathered. Is there a way to create a hard edge border around an image or layer? Also what's the easiest way to create a border around a type layer?

1.I was able to cut the image out using the pen tool then seleting new layer and then pasting in there. Now I want to make the pic a bit smaller (like click on the image and move the mouse in to make it smaller) But just not winning.
2.How can I open a new background image in the same project. when ever i click new it opens a new project and when i select new layer and copy and paste the image i want to use as a background it views as a thumbnail.
3. is it possible to blend the car image with the background like t is a origanal.
4. Oh and sorry is there a easy way of cutting a image then the pen tool my hand is not steady and i always seem to cut into the image or way out .
When saving a file with a solid, dark blue background as a JPG in PS CS4, it's producing a very faint border around it. On a web page, it needs to blend into a background that has the same color as that of the JPG; but it shows the faint borders. It also shows it when saving the file as PNG-24. How do you get rid of the border? What's causing this?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI create a new image in Photoshop, I always get a black border. I thought this was just while working in Photoshop, but when I save the file and try to view it the darn border is still there.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have CS6 and am wondering how to create a white ("comic style"?) border around figures in an image, as in the examples below. I don't wish to include the black shadow of the border, just the white part.
Examples:
Here's the image I'd like to alter, making a white border around the outline of all five figures:
I researched for quite a while but could find no instructions.
Is there also a shortcut in CS6?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I command + click a layer or mask to select the contents therein I get the 'marching ants'. After flattening + copying the selection + creating a new document with preset sizes + and pasting the selection onto the new image I get a 1 pixel border around 1 edge of the image.
I can tell I have extra space because when I change the default bkg of the 'Background' layer to black I can see the black on one side...
First image shows my selection...
Second image shows a zoom of the selection... aka: it has no extra space
Third image shows the blk background behind the copy / pasted image to show the extra space that somehow got added...
I have created a solid white image on a "transparent background." The problem is it comes with a small black border around the image. How can I remove it? I'm hoping to put it on a t-shirt - almost like it's screened. I've attached a copy of the gif.

Ive tried using the rectangular marquee tool and applying a stroke to the end image but I am just not doing things the correct way as it doesnt seem to work out properly.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just installed CS4, but this same issue arose with CS3 just before I installed CS4. I am running XP on a 12-inch screen Dell M1210 laptop, but often edit onto a 22-inch Viewsonic screen. The issue occurs on both screens.
When I open an image from Bridge to Camera Raw, the ACR borders fit within the screen just fine. But when I open the ACR image into Photoshop, both the right-hand side of the program border and the bottom of the image go off the screen. I thus cannot see all of the image at the bottom and cannot see all the buttons/controls on the right-hand side of the program border.
I did a great image last night of friends all merged together.
when i turn the opacity to say 40% with a layer mask on each image, it still gives a pretty distinct edge to the pictures and doesnt blend together.
It was all about 64bit-32bit versions.
I've installed 32-bit CS6 and now everything works perfect. No white lines after applying/resizng anything.
What I need to do is find an easy way to remove the white spacing around an item and have the item displayed tight to the edges.
For example: I need a quick and easy way to turn this into this
With the intention of then being able to resize the image to the exact dimensions I require before then resizing the canvas size to create the exact amount of white spacing between the tops and bottom of the image.
how to put a border around a black and white image imported into Illustrator CS2 (for PC). The Tiff images are imported from Photoshop I've been reading some of the previous postings on this subject, but still can't seem to figure it out. I would like the border to just outline the image. Nothing fancy. I would like it to essentially look like what it would if I were to import an image into Powerpoint and just bound it by a box.

Good, I got the file. But it has a border!?

It will be good if that North Orientation did not have the line. Capture.PNG
I need to add a border to an irregular object. I want to add a simple line around an object, with about 5 pixel space between the line and the object. How would I do this? Basically, I want to achieve an effect like the image below with the lines around the border of the land at the sea.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been using Photopaint 12 for years. This seems like it should be very simple to do, but I've never found a really quick way.
All I want to do is put a single colour 1 or 2 pixel border around a load of images. I don't mind if it is inside or outside the existing image size (the choice would be nice).
I know I can simply draw an unfilled rectangle, but it's easy to drag the shape outside the edges of the image, or to end up a few pixels in, and it's quite time consuming doing it manually.
I have opened an image that was created with adobe illustrator. In this image there is a white border around the page. This causes that when i place an object on the edge of the page I only see the part of the object that is on the page. I like this very much.
But when I start a new project, the white border isn't there. How i can switch this ting on?
