Photoshop :: Actions Made In Cs2 And Importing To Cs3
Oct 30, 2007
I have a rather lenghty action that was made for me in photoshop cs2. we just upgraded to cs3. is there any way to import this action from cs2 into cs3? or does it have to be re-written?
My user made cs5.1 actions have disappeared after an error message came up as PS was opening. None of the factory or user actions are there, and they were unsaved. Are they retrievable?
I have written many actions for PS CS5 and recently installed CS6. I cannot figure out how to import my old Actions into CS6. I fould the Load Actions dialogue, which tells me to locate the Action(s) I want to load. That's where I get stuck. Tried and tried but cannot locate the CS5 Actions I wrote. I am using OS X 10.7.3. ?
my friend sent me some actions for Photoshop but I cant figure out how to import them into the program. What he said to do doesn not work b/c there is no import choise.
I have just installed CS6 and need some actions that I made in CS3 and earlier.Info that I read on support sited said that I should be able to import them. I have tried the edit import actions menu. I have tried dragging the old action set to the new version. All to no avail. What I would like to try next is to instal CS4 and see if I can import the action set from CS3 and then onwards from CS4 to CS6...However the support person could not give me a link to download CS4...
In autodesk inventor 2013 is there a file format (for example .igs, stl, solid works format, catia, pro/E format, etc) that when imported into inventor will appear with its detailed history tree? for example if I try to import a solid works part into inventor 2013 will it appear as one block or will it have its history tree showing the original sketch and other features that were used to make it? If all imported parts will appear as blocks in inventor 2013 regardless of there format, does this latest version of the software have tools similar to direct modeling software (such as KeyCreator) that make it easy to make changes to the 3D imported part, without having to completely remake the part in inventor? Are such tools in the inventor fusion 2013 software instead? Â
I have created city/landscape artwork using photoshop line and box tools. If you go to URL... then click on the link that says (click here to view Gotham City) you will see one of the images I am talking about. Can this image be made to look the same in vector.
I downloaded a couple of actions from the web to my actions palette and they worked fine, but then I got greedy and downloaded a few more and that’s when things went south. Now none of the actions work - by not working I mean when I mouse over the Play Selection icon at the bottom of the action palette I get that little circle with a line through it. This happens with the PS default actions as well (I also get the circle on the Stop Playing/Recording and Begin Recording icons).
Somewhere in the following is probably what messed things up.
I downloaded actions to my computer in zip files. Copied them over to the actions folder (or somewhere) and unzipped them. I went back to the actions palette and hit “load actions” and loaded them. On the second set of actions that I downloaded I remember thinking “why am I copying and pasting these files - I bet I should cut and paste them, so I did and that may have been the start of the great crumble of 2004. PhotoShop help says: (under Saving and loading actions) “Actions are automatically saved the the Actions Palette folder in PS7.0 Settings folder. If this file is lost or removed, the actions you created are lost”.
I have searched for the settings folder and couldn’t find it, but the actions still show up on the actions palette - they just don’t run.
I’m a little fuzzy on the details on the above steps. In fact, I probably did something different on each download.
one more thing, I reloaded PhotoShop, but still nothing.
My computer crashed and I removed all apps and reinstalled so now none of my actions appear. However I do have a backup file of all of them and want to reinstall but before when I was using cs6 ( Im assuming same thing as CC as it was all on the subscription plan ) I would click actions then the right arrows and it would bring me a big screen of all the actions ( even the ones that were just preloaded in ps ) and it was a big box with all the actions and some options to record etc...Now that box isn't there and it's just a single column drop down menu.
to making Gifs, but just took some black text, made bg transparent, changed resolution from 300 to 72. text is huge so have to make it smaller with bicubic resample. but then text looks very jagged and awful,
I make brushes for sale. I make versions vor CS2+ and I make larger brushes for CS6+. Â I think I should probably make the brushes in CS6 to be good for CC and CS6, but thought I'd ask if it's possible to just make them in CC. Would save me having to keep CS6 on my computer.
I do quite a bit of Photoshop work but it is simple. I am trying to re-create the look of this image but struggling on it. I did some that were close but the look was off.
The black layer is added in, any tips on how it is done and what tools are used to go around the relief so well?
for some weird reason all of a sudden the adjustments I make to my images in ACR are not carrying over when I open them in CS5. I've cheked the Adobe website to make sure I have the latest versions of both ACR & CS5 & I do. Any thoughts on how I can correct this? Very frustrating to adjust 10 - 15 wedding images in ACR then they're right back to the original image when I open them in CS5.
When I save photoshop documents on my Mac they are unable to be opened on windows. This happens roughly 60% of the time. The only way I have learned to resolve this problem is to create a new photoshop document, copy all of the layers into this new document, and save it again. The Mac is new - about three weeks old. We save all of our files on an external harddrive backed up on the Mac. All of our computers run CS6.
Is there a way to make text 3d and fold it round to make it look like each letter is a stone in stonhenge. I'm not worried about the colour or rendering but about how to do the control of the text either as text or converted to paths and then folding it into a circle so that letters at the front are facing into the circle?
I finally gave up and decided to join a forum, THIS forum! LOL.. Well anyways I would really like to know how to take a picture and put a filter on it or something so that that picture would be made of words. I remember seeing it before but I forgot what it was called, I think it has somethign to do with halftone.
I am trying to make warp text like this picture. But when I do "warp text" it never comes out like that. I try the different "lower and upper arc), my text becomes a little rounded at the bottom (its suppose to be straight). Is there a special to create this type of warp text?
I made a flyer in Photoshop, I saved it as a JPG. Then I went into my email client AOL to insert it into the body of the email to send out to my clientele. I sent it to myself first to check the resolution etc. The problem is I cannot get it to keep the orginal aspect ration within the email. I compared it to other flyers sent to me, that were produced in Photoshop, I checked all the specs and everything in them matched mine. When I put them into the email the retained their orginal format.
I'm having a problem saving changes to tiff files. Example: I open a new tiff (scanned image, 16 bits RGB, I duplicate the image, close the original unchanged. I then make simple changes, e.g. levels or calculations, and then "save as" with a new file name with the tiff extention. CS2 grinds away. When I open the new image it is the same as my original tiff, none of my adjustments are saved. I HAVE reset my preferences, no dice. I rebuilt my cache, no dice.
Standard Winxp2, I have a cache drive, computer has good speed and drive space,
This Part was created and given colors in CATIA. I now imported it into Photoshop to create some more realistic textures and what not to it. Although the original textures are still there.
Not sure how to just start fresh and make all new textures... basically what i want to know is if there is a way to delete these. They can all be edited but it takes time and effort to change all the names and stuff...
