Aug 31, 2013I have a row in my history panel named "nudge" ...I don't have any idea what is "nudge" in PS. Do you know what is it?

Since it's been a while since I've used Photoshop, I'll be happy to just reset all my panels (in an attempt to get the history panel back) but I can't seem to figure that out either.

Oct 12, 2013I would like to know if there is a way to see the names of the brushes used in the History Panel?? All it says is "Add brush stroke" I that if you click on the brushes dots on the photo that you can see which brush is used, but I hate editing with those on, so I turn them off. Which means I have to do several clicks just to see what brushes I have already used. It would be so useful to just be able to see in my history which ones I used especially when you have to stop editing before you are totally finished with the photo and come back to it later.

Feb 21, 2013I am using Lightroom 4.3 on Windows 7 pc. I have a collection with approximately 650 images. I was working in the collection and had all the images selected. Somehow I inadvertently must have hit a keyboard shortcut that effected all the images. All of the images are negatively effected and they now look terrible. When I go to the History Panel, all the images have "blue filter" as their most recent entry. If I select one image and go back to the step before the "blue filter" everything looks fine again. My problem is I have this effect in 650 images. When I try and do the change in one image and then synch to the rest, I don't know what box to check to remove this "blue filter" that has been added to all the images. I know I can do them one by one, but with 650 images, it's a long and tedious process. Any way I can remove the "blue filter" from multiple images in a collection?

Aug 20, 2013I am trying to learn layers and layer masks. I loaded an image, than control J to duplicate it. I then added a layer mask. Everything good so far. I then went to filters chose a blur. Then went to brushes with black as my foreground color, I just wanted to brush away the blur, and got an error message. "could not use the history brush because the history state does not have a corresponding layer."

Mar 24, 2013Everytime I try to use my history brush, that error pops up and I have no clue why. If I try to just open a blank document and use the brush it does not give me this error and I can "use" the brush but you cant see anything on the project.
so when this error happens im trying to do a project and say I place a file(picture) into the project and this is the very first thing I do. I place it, then I size the image down some. I then make a new layer to use the brush for behind the picture and then this is when I get the error. I have no clue what is wrong

Feb 15, 2006way to change the number of pixels that you can move when you are nudging an object. The Help just says you can use arrow keys to nudge one pixel and the arrow key and the Shift key to nudge it 10 pixels.
I would like to be able to adjust it to less than one pixel is it possible.

Dec 13, 2008I have moved my layers around all the time with my arrow keyes... you know, a nudge. Today, Photoshop says that I can't nudge... it says "Could not nudge the selection because the pixels in a type layer cannot be modified without first rasterizing the layer."
I've never had to rasterize it before... is there a setting I accidentally hit?

Apr 9, 2008It's hard making very tiny adjustments to the rotation of a pic using a mouse and if I have to zoom in, I can not see the whole pic in order to rotate it to. Is there a way, so that once it is in free transform or when you grab the corners to rotate it, that it goes in smaller increments or how do you nudge rotate it.

Mar 6, 2013I'm aware that when using "pixel mode" at a certain zoom level Draw Ignores your settings for "nudge" and does it's own thing. (I think it's when the pixel grid appears and in my case this is at 800%) However, I've found a "feature" which seems like a mistake.
In large zooms in pixel mode objects move 0.5 pixels with the arrow keys, however when using the node edit tool your setting applies.
Personally I'd prefer Draw to always use the settings that you specify but I was told that the change of setting at large zoom levels was intentional - if this is true why do my nodes move differently to objects? This inconsistency can't be "intended"?

I started a project and got it pretty screwed up... so not readily finding any way to delete things quickly (delete key does nothing) I closed out the project and started another one. (Rather than pound my way thru piles of documentation looking for a way to mass delete).
In the first project the arrow keys moved objects around as expected. In the second project, arrow keys do nothing whatever.

Seems like it could be very useful, and I must say i like the IDEA of it (to those not familiar, you hold CTRL and hit arrow keys to slightly shift an object) but how to set the distance default on it. Aug 12, 2011I searched through all the key short cuts, looked through the user guide and I'm at a loss where you can nudge a clip back and forth by single frames. I saw you can hold 'D" and SLIP the clips one frame at a time, but not move them outright.
So, since nudging is one of the absolute most basic requirements of any editor, I know it's in there. But alas, they hid it too well. here it might be?
Maybe hiding next to a trim mode I don't see where I can see how my slips and slides affect the area around the clip?
