I recently became a subscriber to the creative cloud as well as recently getting a wacom intuos 5. The problem is, my new photoshop cc, does not show that I have a pressure sensitve tablet.
Is there a new driver from adobe that I need to install? I checked the Wacom site and as far as I can tell I have the newest driver available. Also, I do have photoshop cs5.5 could these two versions of photoshop be causing a problem when it comes to the tablet?
I'm looking to get a wacom tablet, but I'm not really sure what tablet it best for digital art and animation type stuff. I'll be using it with Photoshop CS6 and probably Toon Boom or some other animation software. I'm just not sure what the difference is between the tablets.
When I use the brush tool in CS, it defaults to pressure effecting the brush size. I want the pressure to effect the opacity instead. I have looked all through my brush options, etc.
My Intuos 3 tablet and pen do not perform correctly using CS5. The same machine, using the same tablet and pen and the same brush, with CS3Â and Corel Painter function correctly so I am assuming it's CS5 that's the problem. The brush seems to set an anchor point where the pen first contacts the tablet, then no matter where you draw with the brush nothing happens until the pen is lifted, then a straight line is drawn from the anchor point to the point where the pen lifted. Problem is with CS5 x32 and x64 both. Happens every brush stroke. Mouse works fine. Reset the preference file. Upgraded drivers for the tablet. The machine is an HP, quad core processor, 8 GB ram, with an ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics card. The machine came loaded with Vista 64 and I upgraded to Windows 7 at the time I installed CS5.
my brand new intuos 4 and set things up and start using it; I installed the software and downloaded new drivers the tablet and pen function well enough will the mouse pointer full functionality in windows however none of my express keys or touch ring functions work; same with if I create a new keyboard shortcut button for my pen buttons ie to select the brush tool or "b" I understand this is more of a Wacom issue. I have sent an email into Waxom tech support regarding this and waiting to hear back.
i have a G5 dual and 3 Gig of RAM. why is my tablet making PS so sluggish? when i paint/erase (even a small area) it takes several seconds after i lift the pen before i can do my next edit. it's the only program running and the file only has three layers.
Very light paint strokes on my Wacom Intuos 3 produce a full force stroke in CS4 every 3 to 15 strokes. Anybody else have this problem? This does not happen with CS2. Also, using the Wacom diagnostics, I can make endless light strokes and never see the pressure go above 16%. I'm using CS4 11.0.1, Wacom driver 6.1.1-3, Nvidia GeForce 6800 with drivers updated, Windows XP.
I am using PSCS 3 and I have a wacom Intuos 2 tablet I used to use. Recently I hooked it back up as I am going to start doing more illustration (just been doing photography and using lightroom). Â PS is not reacting to the sensitivity settings. I downloaded the latest Wacom drivers today and when I open the wacom control panel the setting show the pen sensitivity is working. In the PS brushes panel I have tried "shape" dynamics and "other" dynamics both set to "pen presure" and still no effect. I've tried adjusting the sliders from 0%, to 50% and 100% all with no effect. Also for some reason PS does not recognize the eraser. It just acts like the pen. Again, in the wacom control panel when I look at the eraser it recognizes it (doesn't resond if I use the pen side).
I have been using LR2 v2.6 along with wacom intuit 4 for several years. All of a sudden, several months ago, both started freezing up. In looking at the problem details it shows that the tablet.dll is unloaded.
I am a long time gimp user and also a long time intuos user and I just recently got the airbrush pen for my intuos. I am running windows 7 and gimp 2.8. I am trying to figure out how to get the wheel on the airbrush pen to do something like adjust occupancy for example but I cant get any wheel settings to work. I am not sure if gimp recognizes that its a different pen. Any airbrush pen or a pen with a wheel in gimp
Does Xara support this pen or others, and if so, how does it stack up in terms of what types of pens and or tablets some of you are currently using? Secondly, does Xara support video frame rotoscoping at all like Painter does?
I've been using Photoshop 6.x with my Intuos 5 for almost a year and it's been great. I recently purchased Lightroom 5.2 only to discover that when I use the spot edit tool that it freezes when i use this tool as a brush. It starts off smooth, but after brushing across my area i want to clone/heal, Lightroom seems to freeze up, and the spot edit tool is unusable. I can lift my pen off the tablet and a few seconds later Lightroom comes back, but the tablet is basically unusable to me. The mouse works perfectly fine.
Is it possible to assign a "grab" command to the button on the Wacom Intous 4 pen?
At the moment in Painter 12 and Artrage, if I hold down the button closest to the tip on the pen, then press the pen to the pad and drag, it will grab the canvas and allow me to move it around the screen. I cannot figure out how to set this up in Corel Draw X5
btw, its specifically Draw, not Photo Paint that I want to set this up in
Yes, it's been well over a decade since I upgraded from my Wacom Intuos 2 pen/pad, but I think I've finally worn the thing into the grave. It had served me well, so I didn't see need to get any new versions--until now. Â So my question is, what do you recommend as an upgraded improvement? There's newer models of the Intuos pad/pen and there's also Bamboo pad/pens. I'm an illustrator that colors my work in great detail exclusively on Phtotoshop so I'd love to get a pen/tablet that handles all daunting assignments. And because I'm an illustrator, I can't really afford a Cintiq tablet, so I guess an Intuos of Bamboo are my choices.
My ancient Intuos 2 pen still works so-so but it suddenly started delaying and I find I have to tap the pad with the pen to get the cursor to move in the area I want it to. I installed the Intuos 2 driver again but nothing's changed. Yep, time for new tools.
I do a lot of montage work in PSCS and have recently been using my Wacom tablet and boy do I love it, but have a question for those of you who use tablets.
When I'm doing a montage I use very soft brushes to merge the edges. With my Intuos pen, even though I use a large soft brush setting (same as the one I use with a mouse) I get very pen like lines, so I always end up switching to the mouse. Do I need to do something with either the pen settings or the way I use it, or should I be getting an "airbrush" for this kind of work.
I am working with "photoshop cs3" "windows ultimate vista" and an "wacom intuos 3" tablet and I experience heavy lags while drawing like the brush-strokes don't quite follow my moves, and I have to wait for them to catch up.
When I open a large file and I try to apply the first brush stroke on my drawing the cursor screen disappears for a while and photoshop is not responding. Then Photoshop comes back so the cursor and I can start to work. But as soon as I drag the page using the little Hand tool photoshop stops responding again for few more seconds and when it restarts I can hardly control the direction of my new brush strokes.
Apparently in order to restart the only remedy I found (by chance) is by toggling the layer visibility status (change a layer from visible to not and back to visible again). After this exercise I can draw in photoshop again! But of course same problems again as soon as I will use the hand tool and move on the screen again!
I am working in Photoshop 8 and I did 4 different files and saved them. Then my computer locked up and now photoshop is telling me that those files are not the right type of file to be opened in photoshop. What can I do? I am working on a large project!
All of a sudden, when I try to print from Photoshop CS6, I get a message that says my printer is not online. If I load the photo to another program I have no problem printing.Â
My grandson was using my Photoshop and may have changed some setting, but which settings!
Having issues opening Canon T2i .CR2 raw files with my MacBook Pro & Photoshop CS3. Will an uninstall and reinstall solve it or do I need to UPGRADE? Also, don't have original CS3 disc on hand. Online uninstall and reinstall? Â
I recovered some 600 jpg files inadvertently erased from a flash card, but they all have the extension THM. Since THM is not recognized by PS CS3 nor by Bridge, I can't Batch Rename them to show jpg extensions. It will take me 2-3 hours to rename them one-by-one.
Shooting with a Canon 5dMarkii. Windows 7; Photoshop CS3. When I try to open RAW (CR2) files, I get a message that the file type can't be recognized. I've not had this problem before. My "updates" says that everything is current.Â
I downloaded a copy of Photoshop CS5.1 to try with my Sony NEX-5N. When I try to open a RAW file, I get a message that the camera type isn't supported. The Adobe website indicates that the Sony NEX-5N is supported. How do I get the trial version of Photoshop to recognize the RAW files from the Sony NEX-5N?
I'm having problems with Silver Efex Pro 2 after upgrading to PS CS6, worked fine in older versions of PS..Downloaded the latest installer from Nik Software..The installer only find my Lightroom 4.1 when installing, and I have to add CS6 manually (locating the plugin folder, also tried other folders). It works fine in LR4.1, but in PS, the software opens, I apply changes, and clik OK, NIK closes, but nothing happens to my image. The history tab says "Silver Efex Pro 2", but no layers/changes to the original image..64bits WIN7 Enterprise, 12GB ram
I've been working in PS CS6 a while now and notice a consistent behavior, different from previous versions: it does not recognize the first click, after choosing a selection tool from the tool panel.  Try this:Select "Rectangular Marquee" tool, using the tool panel.Move cursor over document and click-n-drag. The tool does not work. It must be clicked a second time to work. When selecting the tool using the keyboard shortcut, this does not happen.
Just put a fresh battery in my pen. I've got an Adesso CyberTablet 8600 which, the last time I tried to paint, which was tonight, was not recognized as a pen sensitive tablet in Photoshop. I've tried resetting the file preferences or whatever happens when you hold Ctrl Shift and Alt, still no dice. Restarted computer, still no dice. It's not the tablet; I opened up SAI to see and was able to paint with wonderful pen pressure sensitivity. This wouldn't be a problem EXCEPT -- I don't know how to paint in SAI! I want to paint in Photoshop!! Â System specs: Â Windows XP Photoshop CS3 Â I've painted many times in PS before... this seriously only JUST started happening. Usually, if pen pressure is not recognized by Photoshop, it's because I've plugged in the tablet AFTER opening the program; shutting it down, plugging the tablet in, then reopening PS does the trick. However, not so this time.
I have photoshop 7 and have been using my zip drive to save my work.
Got a new CD burner and works nice. But I have a dilemma. I save my photoshop graphics to the CD-RW and then close. When I reopen my file it says, "Blending modes not recognized switch to normal?"
I hit OK, then it says, "this file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop."
Of course I designed it in there. Now I saved my work from my zip disks to the CD and it opens them up fine, but when I change something, or alter a graphic, save and close, I open it up to the same thing.
I'm just saving to my CD. Also, this doesn't work with Illustrator, but I can save from any other program and open without any trouble whatsoever, except my Adobe stuff. The manual says something about fixing software programs to work with this but I'm unclear.
I need to fix in photoshop or something?
I'd like to work this way as my space on my hard drive is limited right now and this CD is working good for everything else.
It runs a Nero burning program and uses InCD to format the disks when I plug them in. The disks are CD-RW.
I went to print an image out of Photoshop and it responds with the error message >>Before you can perform printer-related tasks such as page setup or printing a document, you need to install a printer <OK> I have a small network of 3 machines, they all print to a shared printer from my own machine, connected to my machine via USB wire. The printer is working fine in all other programs, including Acrobat. I have not tried any other CS4 programs, but Word, Excel, etc. all work locally and through the network. The other network machine that also has Photoshop CS4 is having a similar issue. It doesn't give the same error message, but in the dialog box where you pick the printer it says 'unable to connect.' This machine can print from other programs fine also. I saw a similar thread from fall 2008 in the Mac forum. I've tried everything they suggested there >> delete and reinstall printer, restarted several times, updated Adobe manually, updated printer driver, all Windows updates current, run anti-virus checkers. The only thing I can point to is the recent update processes,
I just got my wacom intuos A5 USB a couple of days back and its working perfectly on my mac. No issues at all but I tried using it on my desktop and im having 2 major issues. 1. I have only "other dynamics" checked and opacity controlled by pen pressure. If i am making light strokes with the pen i get a few low opacity strokes is i should but I suddenly get a full pressure (100% opacity) stroke even though im hardly applying and pressure. These are sudden pressure spikes and are completely random. 2. The pen tilt is not working. I set color dynamics to pen tilt but the color doesn't change as i tilt the pen All this works perfectly on my mac so I know theres nothing wrong with the tablet but how do I solve these issues. Im hoping someone here will help me out. P.S. - I have an Intel 2.5 Quad Core, gigabite Mother board, 4gb ram, nvidia GeForce 6600GT - 256mb. I also have a beetel router connected to my desktop.
which is better, the intous tablet or the graphire tablet? judging from the price, i guess intous would be better, but i want to hear from people who have actually used them. also, can you use them with photoshop?
