I've just bought Sony Vaio Duo 11 i7 edition with Windows 8 Pro, but I found pen pressure isn't working on neither Photoshop CS5.0.4 or Photoshop Elements 10, while its pen pressure works on Fresh Paint and Artrage 3.5.5.
View 20 RepliesBoth the beta and now the retail version of photoshop cs6 keeps crashing on my vaio z (VPCZ23Z9E).I have tried countless reinstalls and both cs5 and cs5,5 works just fine. I suspects its the graphic driver for the external graphic crad (located in the dock).Unfortunately - that driver is a custom sony one and no other is available.

I found some crash-files inside my appdata temp folder named "Crash_2012-05-14_10-49-43_Photoshop.txt" and "Crash_2012-05-14_11-59-36_sniffer.txt". Inside the "sniffer" files there is just a "1" and inside the "photoshop" one there is:

View 5 Replies View RelatedThis is an InDesign/Photoshop error but the problem itself is coming from Photoshop.
I made a silhouette pic in Photoshop CS6 after rasterizing some layers and what I have is a black background with a white figure in the foreground. I could not convert it to a JPEG, but I opened it up in Bridge and I wanted to import it into InDesign, but then I got an error message that said:
"This file uses an unsupported color space. Only RGB, CMYK, L*a*b*, grayscale, indexed and bitmap formats are supported by the Photoshop filter"
I tried to fix it in Photoshop but there's no way to unlock the Background layer in order to edit it.
I have a folder of tiffs that were recovered from an sd card out of a Canon T3i. The only recovery software that worked saved them as Tiff files. I can view the thumbnail, I can even view the full res version in Windows Picture Viewer, but the files cannot be opened by Lightroom, Photoshop, Infranview or Gimp. The all spit out a message to the tune of "unsupported tiff format".
I'd be happy to just get these things into jpeg format so that I can edit them,.
the TIFF output from our large office printer cannot be opened with photoshop? im just told its unsupported. how can a £2000 design suite (dont even get me started on why the english have to pay more than double the US pay for the same product) not open basic TIFF files? the basic windows one can open them fine and i have to print them to pdf to import into photoshop
this is ridiculous - is there a work around or do i just not use TIFF from that printer/scanner any more?
I recently had to make the move from CS4 on Mac OS 10.5.6 to CS4 x64 on Vista.
I opened a file and worked on it with no problems on the new CS4 x64 setup. It also saved multiple times throughout with no apparent problems.
When I have tried to reopen the file on the same CS4 x64 Vista setup I get the following errors in this order:

I cannot open this file on either CS4 on the mac or CS4 x64 on the PC.
As a side note, this particular file is a personal blog design I've been working with on and off for several months so I can't be 100% sure, but I don't believe I have a layer called 'Shape 1 copy 220' as I surely would remember copying a layer 220 times.
Of course, it is annoying that I lost maybe 4 hours work (I have a backup of the original file), but my main concern is this happening again - especially with commercial work. Can anyone shed any light on known issues between Mac and PC versions of CS4?
I am trying to create an animated gif by modifying multiple layers of an image in Photoshop, then opening the image in ImageReady to customize the animation. However, when I open the image in ImageReady, I get an error message: "Could not read Adobe ImageReady specific data because slices were in an unsupported format." Consequently I am unable to "make frames from layers" in the animation pallette of ImageReady.

When I create a Video File using the "Custom" avi (Xvid) option, it doesn't matter which Audio format and setting I select ( and I have tried them all !) when I play the file on my TV ( Panasonic - New) I get a message that the Audio file is unsupported, and there is no audio.

I've never had this isssue before, just (attempting) to import files from my snycomatic folder (taken with my iphone). I've been doing it exactly the same as usual, but this time when I attempt it I get "the files appear to be unsupported or damaged."
All are jpeg files, all open in finder just fine, and it did allow 8 of the 30 some odd pictures to be imported? preview image(s) were unavailable in the thumbnails, though the ones that worked were visable.
I did double check and the folder permissions are all fine and I seem to be able to import other files from other folders with no issues.Running Lightroom 4.4 & OSX10.7.5 on a Mbpro.
I can drag these same pictures to Lightroom and work on them but I can't import them for catalog. They preview in any viewer but I can't import for catalog.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm synchronizing my LR files with my Hard Drive files. I get an Import Results page that says: Some import operations were not performed. The files appear to be unsupported or damaged. It then lists the files that could not be imported. When I look at the files, some are .CR2 (Canon RAW) files, some are .TIF files, and some are .PSD files.
I don't know when the problem originated, but I was able to open them earlier. There are hundreds of files that cannot be read.

"Command could not be completed because the document type is unsupported"
Same thing happens if it is "Merged Visible"
If the image is flattened or is a background image all works fine. I do not have this problem in X2. I did reset the workspace, as sometimes that works, but not in this instance.
I get message in Lightroom when exporting the raw file. "The file appears to be unsupported or damaged (1)"

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just came back from a long trip out west and almost all (a very few do open) .nef images in Lightroom 5 64bit give me the "unsupported or damaged" message.
I imported the files using Picasa and can view them just fine on there and can see the EXIF data.A lot of searching online led me to try converting the files to .DNG using the DNG converter 8.1 but I get the same "unsupported or damaged" message.
I keep on getting errors like PIPELINE: Unsupported input resolution mix in node "gmask" when entering the MK via action.For example, I have one clip that I work on inside the MK of action. And when I simply exchange the clip for a different one (same size, same bit depth), the screen turns blank and I get those error messages.
View 4 Replies View RelatedHad a client request a schematic but for the hardware of a schematic to be represented with JPEGs of the component.Having a bizarre one where I've re-opened a DWG which had about 15 JPEGs in (which were copied from pictures off of the net) and the images aren't appearing when re-opening the file. I've just got a blank space with a boundary with drag points.
When I double click on where the image is supposed to be I got the 'Image Adjust' properties box and a space where the image is supposed to be in the box and all it says is 'Image File Unsupported.'
I'm fearing having the 'ball ache' of having to obtain the images again, and cropping them and resizing them and wasting a load of time on them which I haven't got to spear.
I have lots of folders on my Mac that have been imported into LR, however, there are lots of files inside these folders that LR does not support like .png files so they never were imported. If I go into all of these folders and remove the files that LR doesnt like, Will it cause a problem since the folders have already been imported?

When drawing with the brush or the clone stamp brush now and then strokes are drawn at full pressure even though that is not the case. The next strokes are ok again for a while and then again... a few strokes like they there was no pen pressure. Very annoying when retouching masks.
I already installed the latest Wacom driver but no joy.
What else could I try?
My graphics card doesn't have OpenGL capacities so I don't think that's the problem or could it?
Also CS4 is much slower than CS3 in updating the screen. Related?
I am a long time user of Photoshop (since 2.5) but I think CS4 will be the first upgrade
I will skip although I love the new adjustments and masks panels...

I like to use the pen pressure option to get those interesting lines for art with the pen tool. I've been using like that for years. But today, my computer is telling me I can't use this option without a tablet. I'm very confused. Even a couple days ago I could select that option with no problem
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Genius MousePen 6x8 and use Photoshop CS5.1. It's been a while since I used my tablet, but it used to work before. I rebooted my computer a while ago, so I installed the new driver from the Genius website. The tablet is working fine, even the pen pressure, but for some reason it just won't work in Photoshop. I've tried to fix it by resetting the Photoshop settings by using the Ctrl+Shift+Alt, I've reset the brush tool, I've played around with the brush options and nothing has worked.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm on a Mac, 10.6.8 and PS CS5 12.0.4 with a Wacom Intuos3.
I select a hard round brush and turn off the Transfer > Opacity Jitter > 'pen pressure' option. However as soon as I thouch the tip of my pen down pen pressure turns back on. This is annoying when trying to do a detailed cutout in a layer mask as it leaves behind opaque areas that aren't always visible right away.
Even if I create a new preset with pen pressure off, it comes back on once saved. There must be a way to turn off pen pressure while using the Wacom tablet. Am I missing something?
I didn't see this in an internet search, but after using camera raw CS6 for a while with a tablet, I assume there's no pen pressure options with the adjustment brush? (Just checking.)
Also, I can ctrl-0 to fit-to-screen but what about jumping to 100% zoom? ctrl-1 doesn't seem to achieve this. Are there any similar shortcuts or scripts to achieve this?
