Jul 3, 2013Is it possible to create multiple frames in a single assembly environment? (i.e. Frame0001, Frame0002)
The members all lump together in one Frame regardless of when they are created in the workflow.
I know there is a workaround for this by making each frame in its own assembly...but that will be more cumbersome than it is worth in this application.
Right now I have just created folders in the Frame0001 to sort things out, but the folders are not very flexible as far as moving things in and out or reordering...it is a pain.
I've used the Frame generator to create my existing building columns, existing platform columns, and existing handrail. I'll be using the frame generator pretty soon here to build a new platform, which I would love to keep separate from the existing steel.
I suppose I could save the current assembly and insert it into a new one so I can add the new equipment, but I'd rather avoid large subassemblies like that. Seems like it would be a lot easier to just have an option to create Frame0002.

Apr 7, 2011I'm seeing random occurrences of single all-red frames in my output. They seem to occur in the middle of a clip.
My clips are AVCHD (HDV captures from a Sony HDR-FX7 via Firewire using HDVSplit). I'm outputting them to "HDV 720p - 30p (for PC)". Total edited projects are 9-10 minutes each and I'm seeing 2-3 of these "red frames" per output file.

Aug 12, 2011I searched through all the key short cuts, looked through the user guide and I'm at a loss where you can nudge a clip back and forth by single frames. I saw you can hold 'D" and SLIP the clips one frame at a time, but not move them outright.
So, since nudging is one of the absolute most basic requirements of any editor, I know it's in there. But alas, they hid it too well. here it might be?
Maybe hiding next to a trim mode I don't see where I can see how my slips and slides affect the area around the clip?

Feb 1, 2013Been combing over the interent to try to figure out how to (in CS6 PS) get multiple gif to load onto the same static image that have different amount of frames, thus far I have my two gifs (on opposite sides) on the image and a short title video in the center but it starts with all three images and then runs the two gif until the the first (8 frames) runs out then the remainder of the second runs out at 13 frames and lastly the rest of the video plays each frame.
My goal is to get the video to just play naturally in the center and each gif on the sides to play on a loop as I want the entire image to be a banner for a website.
Win7 64 bit
CS6 photoshop
Gif1 = 8 frames/layers
Gif2 = 13 frames/layers
video = 96 frames/layers (also it is set at a very low resolution and is just a title with a second title transitioning in)

Feb 14, 2012Adobe says, that you can select a group of frames, edit 1 frame from the group, and it will apply that for the rest of them. In order to do this, it says have one frame selected, the Shift-click another one. I had a frame selected, and then I shift-clicked another. Nothing is highlighting.

Jul 12, 2008'm using PS 3 Extended 10.0. I've imported video from Premiere & I would like to edit each frame in exactly the same way. I'd like to use the eraser tool to erase almost everything in the frames. I can do this 1 frame at a time, but there are 160 frames so it would take too long. Also, I want the erasure of each frame to be the same, & if I do it 1 frame at a time, each one will be slightly different. How can I make a uniform erasure of all 160 frames at the same time? I treid using the "actions" command, but it didn't work.

Jan 31, 2008I'm on a Mac with Photoshop CS. I have this tapered swoosh, so to speak, with a layer mask attached to it. When I go to Edit/Free Transform/Distort, I only get a single box when, as far as I know, I should be getting multiple. This singular transform box only gives me as much movement as the regular transform, which isn't enough. Does anyone know what's wrong? It's necessary that I dip the middle of the swoosh and modify the swoosh in ways that only a whole bunch of directional options will handle. Should I be using Warp? I don't have Warp though...

Nov 4, 2008We produce a number of A5 publications and the need has arisen for me to produce each page of each publication as a jpeg (can't be anything else) for web publication.
As I see it my current options are:
1. During the PDF'ing process from InDesign we produce an individual PDF per page (usually 40 pages per publication and 4 publications) and then batch convert them in PS.
2. We create jpegs from a 40 page PDF, one at a time.
Both are rediculously tedious and time consuming, and we would have to pass this cost onto the customer which I am loathe to do.
I am therefore wandering whether there is a way in PS to set up a batch process where it will open the pdf 40 times, incrementing by 1 page each time and saving that page as a jpeg.
Alternatively, there may be away that I can produce 40 individual PDF's in one process using Acrobat Pro/InDesign, and then do the batch process in PS.

Apr 14, 2006Up until now, I've been using Paint.NET as my main paint program. It worked well enough but had a few specific limitations that forced me to request the company I work for to purchase Photoshop CS2, which they did. In fact, the IT dept just finished installing it.
I'd like to have a single text layer with multiple instances of text, but everytime I go to add additional text, CS2 "conveniently" creates a new layer for me. Is there any way to tell CS2 to "Stop that!" and let me create as many individual instances of text on one layer as I want? I am labeling buildings/roadways on aerial photos and don't need to have 40-50 text layers per photo.

So basically if I have 10 lines of text, I end up with 10 layers of text as well. Needless to say, this becomes to much trouble if I have to center each line of text and add blending options to 10 layers instead of one.

When I create my view frame group along each alignment, there are some overlapping view frames from different alignments. I need to create a matchline for these instances. How to create matchlines for view frames on different alignments? Or create one view frame group from different alignments?

Jul 28, 2012Is it possible to take 3-4 effects, all mixed together, like brush stroke, solarise, warp sharp, neon... mix them all together, and process a number of pictures while changing the mix level of each effect, and also varying some of the effect settings, such as brush size, brightness, etc...
are there any scripts that can do that? any macro plugins that can control other plugins? is there a crafty programming trick that could be fashioned to vary and mix effects across a task of batch processing?
