Photoshop :: Toolbox Shortcut Commands No Longer...
Mar 12, 2008
Toolbox shortcut commands no longer work in PS CS2. Any command that I try to execute in PS generates a "program error" message, including trying to exit the program. Now I have to go into Task Manager and "kill" it in there to get out of it. Images and changes will not save.
I have deleted the PS preferences and rebooted. I un-installed and re-installed PS. Same problem. Only happens in PS, not InDesign.
I can click directly on the toolbox to activate a certain tool, but this is so painfully slow.
Dell 8400 3 ghz box, Window XP latest version, all updates.
Tons of memory and hard drive space.
The problem is that I can't get any of the tools in Photoshop Toolbox to work. Tools like Clone Stamp Tool, Healing Tool, Burn Tool, Dodge Tool, Sponge Tool, etc. The person that replied to this problem before advised me to open My Computer>Program Files>Adobe>Adobe Photoshop & then delete a certain file. It worked great but now I can't remember which file to delete.
one of the pc at my work place seemed to be working funny, compared to the other pc.
For example, the command CO won't work, but instead i have to type CC to copy. The command MA doesn't work at all, and i don't know how to match properties.
Along the way, there are other commands that I encounter before. Basically, it jus feels funny for this PC.
Is there any way to restore every single setting without re-installing the autocad?
We recently upgraded to AutoCad 2014 and the acad.pgp file does not seem to load correctly on one of 3 stations. The other 2 seem to be working just fine.
I located the file it is referencing with the (findfile "ACAD.PGP") command, to be sure I am looking at the correct one.
What happens is when I type PS in the command line it should initiate the Paperspace command. It clearly states in the .pgp file " PS, *PSPACE ". However what shows in the command line is "Pick line"! To be sure it is loaded I ran the REINIT command.
I need to change the shortcut commands but cannot find the file or how to do it in AutoCAD LT 2012. I had to reinstall due to a virus in my computer and I cannot remember how to do this, it has been too long.
We are working in AutoCAD 2010 and the keyboard shortcut commands are not working for one of our users. we are having difficulty getting it back online for her. we tried a menu load for the acad.pgp file and it isn't working .
is their some command set so it will stop doing that double enter? it just started doing it today. I have closed out autocad, restarted, made sure a key isn't stuck on my keyboard.
I'm able to add custom panels/buttons into the Ribbons, by cloning the existing ribbon (from acade.cuix) into my partial cuix. However.. I'm not able to add more commands to the shortcut menus, using the same technique.
Is it possible to add custom commands to existing shortcut menus using a partial cuix?
Is there a way to add a keyboard shortcut or marking menu shortcut for visibility? It would be really convenient to be able to shift-click several objects and toggle the visibility of them. I have a mouse with numerous buttons that are mapped to commonly used IV features, but I cannot find a way to map a visibility toggle.
I moved my toolbox to the bottom of the screen and before I knew it, it was GONE! How do I get it back again??? Im running Photoshop 7.0 if that makes any difference. I really don't wanna reinstall Photoshop but do I have to do that?
I am hopeful that somebody who is familiar with Photoshop can help me in my desparation. I've lost the Toolbox in Photoshop 5.0 and can't find it anywhere. Clicking Show/Hide Tools under the "Window" pull-down menu reveals nothing.
my toolbox has completely disappeared, and i have no idea how to get it back. This is on Photoshop 5.0, i'm currently using CS2 but it would still be useful to be able to use 5.0 aswell. And before you ask, clicking Windows > Show/Hide Tools doesn't work, and as far as i'm aware it's not off screen.
I've been unable to get all the tools in the Toolbox to function properly. It sometimes helps if I resart my computer over & over & delete the files but it only lasts temporarily. I've called Photoshop & they've never heard of it. I've uninstalled & reinstalled several times as well & it never seems to work.
I installed Elements 11 on my Mac OSX ver 7.5. It worked properly the first few times I opened it, but now the tool box doesn't appear in any editing mode. "Tools" is checked under window. I am also unable to drag the opened PSE window the way I could with the earlier version.
When my system crashed I had to upgrade from Windows XP Pro to Windows 7. Trying to reinstall I found that CS2 is no longer supported.
After I jumped through the necessary hoops I was able to re-install CS2. It worked OK for a while, but now I find that the nested tools in the toolbox are unavailable.
I have gone from using dual monitors to a single monitor. As a result, some of my dialog boxes (such as the Canvas Size) are located off the right, where the second monitor used to be, and I can't access them.
Is there a command that will reset the positions of all the dialog boxes and toolboxes so they appear in my main monitor window again?
Can I move the Toolbox and Menu panels in Elements 12 Editor to one side when the monitor (1920x1080, 16:9) is in the lanscape position, and to the bottom when the monitor is rotated to the vertical position, so that I can work on the largest image possible?
How do I remove three images on the cursor when I have selected certain tools from the toolbox in Elements 9? I have just gotten a new computer and 9 was transferred to it from my old computer. Have never had this problem before.
I've been a Gimp user for a while, and I recently upgraded my not-so-reliable Windows PC to a Mac Mini running OSX Lion.
However, after installing the Snow Leopard version of Gimp (which works fine otherwise), I have found that unlike the Windows and Linux versions of Gimp, the toolbox does not stay on top of the other Gimp windows.
I'm using 2.8.4 in multi windows mode fullscreen. Sometimes the toolbox willdisappear. I have to hit my Windows key and then click on Gimp in the Windowstoolbar to make it come back.
I'd really like to have an option to dock the toolbar and have the dialogs openin new windows. I keep my screen real estate maximized. My tool box is 2 columnswide and squashed to the limit. Not only is it an extra step to undock dialogsin single window mode, I have to widen my toolbox to get to the tab to drag thebox.
I am in no way upset about any of this. Gimp has saved me a few hundred dollars. [URL]....
I have a dual monitor with max 2011 and after i have created a nurbs curve i go to modify, select the curve then try to active the nurbs toolbox, doesnt matter how many times i click it hasnt appeared. i have reduced the screens to one to see if it had gone off somewhere but it still wasnt displaying. I have a quadro fx 580 and have updated to the latest drivers, I have also updated max.
if it has disappeared of the screen into the area outside my screen (done that before) is there a way of bringing it back to the screen area, top left.
I have had a bad problem with GIMP 3.8 on Ubuntu 13.04 x64 the last few weeks
Basically, every icon in the toolbox has a large empty space to the right of it. The occurs both in single window view and in modal view.
When I resize the toolbox the icons keep this right space around them, always re-positioning so that most of the icons are not included in the toolbox.
The only way I can see all the tools is to reduce the width of the toolbox to one icon, then they all line up vertically. But I have having it set up like this, and even then the last few are cut off by the bottom of the screen.
I have gone through all the settings menus and can't seem to find anything about it. I removed GIMP with the --purge option and reinstalled; this fixed it for a day, now it's right back to where it was.
