I have to make a technical drawing using a handmade drawing. When I use technical drawing option, I get a technical drawing with double lines, bacause the lines of my original drawings are a little thick. How can I get a tecnical drawing with one line and not double lines?
I draw electrical wiring diagrams and are used to working with Micrografx Designer 9.0. I have now got a new computer and wanted to upgrade to Corel Designer.
Since i draw wiring diagrams i often have to draw wires with two colors. In MD9.0 you could draw a simple line and the use hatch filling to add two different colors to the line and still be able to move the points on the line around. (in my case for routing of the wires and the components) I can not figure out how to solve this in Corel Designer. Am I missing something or is this function removed?
Is there a way to restrict a dimension line to only measure vertical or horizontal?
I am trying to put in the vertical dimension from the center of circle "A" to the center of circle "B", however, when I select the center of "A" and move to "B" the dimension flips to Horizontal.
Is there a way to restrict this tool to Horizontal or Vertical?
See three small bitmaps attached: <<original.bmp>>; <<45cw.bmp>>; <<45ccw.bmp>>.The original is a simple 21x21 pixel test pattern, black except for white pixels in the center and corners. It's appearance should be the same whether rotated 45 deg clockwise or counterclockwise, and the appearance should keep the symmetry of the original.I used "Bilinear Interpolation".
I used a gamma = 1 profile, and to be extra-safe set Edit>Assign Profile>Don't Color Manage ...I set the background color to black in the toolbox. Thank you John Joslin. Then I rotated the original image 45 deg clockwise and counterclockwise to make the other two files. Why to the resulting images look so different? Why are they lacking in symmetry? With the other interpolation methods too, clockwise and counterclockwise rotations give quite unlike images. A partial explanation could be that Photoshop rotates about a point not in the image center, but this doesn't explain enough.
I tried 20x20 patterns which showed similar problems. I'm mostly interested in bilinear interpolation because this is supposed to conserve the total pixel value. Each white pixel in the original has value 255, so the blob resulting from this pixel should have total value 255. Look at <<45cw.bmp>>.The blob on the left has total value 69+94+13+5+18+1=200. The blob on the right is an almost perfect antipode with total value 1+18+6+13+95+68=201.Â
The blob at the bottom doesn't resemble the side blobs and has total value 42+56+40+3+55=196. The blob at the top has total value 40+41+56=137. Clearly Photoshop has lost the top of the top blob. (It also does this with 45 deg counterclockwise rotation, and also with 135 deg rotation.) The blob in the center has total value 49+49+48+47=193.Â
All of the blobs fall far short of 255. Photoshop might be excused for messing up edge pixels, but not a central pixel. Photoshop messes up rotation at the single pixel level. I made a test pattern with clusters of 4 white pixels and the rotation of this did conserve the total value for the central four. Edge pixels still showed problems. Photoshop image rotation appears to be based on sloppy code.
when im trying to run photoshop it closes after 'Sorting fonts...' but image ready works :C i tried reinstaling it like 9 times, i have reinstaled window - nothing :< i have no viruses or ad aware. its Adobe Photshop 7
I just installed my new Photoshop CS2 and transferred all my plug-ins and other stuff from Photoshop 7 folder, but I cannot seem to transfer all the saved actions that I have on the 7 and that's bad. I have saved quite a few important for me sets of edits that I most frequently use with my images as actions and I apply them with a single click. I need to find out how to transfer them into my new version if possible.
while trying to save files in my CS. One thing I have noticed, (maby NOT different, not certain) is I only have the "Save as" option to save a file. "My" CS is not actually saving the files. Although it appears to be saved within a folder of choice; when I look into the folder to view as thumbnail it is not available to view nor does it load into CS- paticularly in PSD format.
The only thing I thought to do to try and help myself was to "Reset tools" to default status -to no avail. Are there any options that may resolve this issue other than uninstall and reinstall CS ?
I exported a drawing (Clipper ship drawing) from TDX5 to CorelCAD .dwg format. Here are some first findings/remarks:
1. Bezier curves are displayed as "segmented" lines - should be bezier curves or adapted splines. (My Clipper ship drawings contain hundreds of bezier curves next to B-splines).
2. Texture fills are not displayed properly, only fragments and on wrong places.
3. Hidden layers are exported and shown - there should be an option to indicate whether a hidden layer should be exported or not. Better still in CorelCAD a hidden layer should remain hidden until a "show layer" command is issued. Now you have to delete a hidden layer before exporting the drawing. (My ships drawings contain many layers, many of them often hidden).
I'm using 3Ds max design 2013. I've imported a model of a dwell mechanism from Inventor CAD. I want to animate the operation of the mechanism. I'm not that experienced with animation in 3Ds max. I've managed to do it by linking parts appropriately, then physically rotating parts and setting keyframes. This works, but the result is not very accurate and not very smooth.
I was hoping to use a better technique to do this. I understand the principles of IK and bones, but have never really used them. I've had a quick look at massFX, hoping that I could constrain parts to each other and then let the physics take over.
I've attached a youtube link of the mechanism. There are hinged joints, rolling joints (the roller on the cam) and sliding joints. Can these be defined as constraints within 3Ds max?
I downloaded the Corel Designer Suite X6 trial version yesterday. The downloading and the installation course ran problem free. The installation was finished successfully The programs were installed on Windows 7- 64 bit platform. After the installation I started to work with the Designer X6 and it was running correctly. I tried to import a 3D dwg. file into a new blank drawing and Corel started up XVL Studio program.
I tried to import one of my existing dwg. 2013 file in the XVL but during the process an error occurred. I tried again with different versions dwg and dxf files but XVL just couldn't import the files and I always was given the same messages. "Unable to import ... file". I'd like to insert my existing 3D drawing as vector graphic in Corel in order to editing technical illustration.
I have recently started working with CorelDRAW Technical Suite X6. I am trying to figure out if there is any way to customize the Workspace, change the color of the entire background like you can do in autodesk autocad? Are there any plug ins I can download for different menu bars or completely change the layout of everything?
Although it may sound strange for 2D projects and rapid technical presentation drawings I have for many years used CorelDraw. I like the ease of use and usability. The problem is the speed and response program for complex drawings. That does not compare to AutoCAD or similar (Archicad, Allplan, etc.). Closest to my idea of approaching is Vectorworks. The price is also important. I welcome the mentioned speed, simplicity, 100% import-export DWG, opportunities to work with bitmaps.
I have a picture of a pear. One line marks the different colors between the pear and the background, one line parallel to the first one .I used vectorization, technical drawing to have the lines without problem. I would like to know how to determine the thickness of these lines.I would then later color the differents surfaces.
I am new to Illustrator - I am scanning simple components on a technical drawing. These are line drawings - closed contours (for example, the outline of the cross-section of an aircraft wing). I am attempting to use Illustrator to convert the jpg scan to vector form - am saving the result as a .dwg file. I am then importing this into SolidWorks where I am attempting to extrude the form of the component prior to 3D printing.
In Illustrator I am using live trace to create the vector representation. However I'm finding that the vector representation appears to take the form of a number of segmented vector representations. As a result, in SolidWorks I can obviously not extrude the component.
Are there are additional steps within Illustrator that I should be using so as to clean up/unify the vector representation?
I have about 500 .dsf files (from iGrafxDesigner ... maybe 1999 version).I need to convert these to .svg. I would like to avoid having to write an import/export script, but I have done scripting for AutoCAD, Rhino3d, and Lightwave3d, so if necessary I could do it I suppose.
Corel Draw X6 - The document converts automatically all objects (including text) from c0 m0 y0 k100 to c72 m58 y53 k79. No matter how many times I set black back to 100 and the rest to 0 when i open the document all black colors are again in the cmyk mix.
If you try to convert back to k100 using the find and replace command it says the document can't find that color.
I have many Corel Designer 9 files that use user defined arrowheads.
When I open these files in Designer 12. Every arrowhead is off by 1/4" inch, they are not touching what they need to be touching, as they are in the Designer 9 file.
I have removed the arrowhead in the Des. 9 file and just used a line that is touching the object, saved...Open in Des. 12 and it is still touching the object. So, it's something with the arrowhead.
I've been using coreldraw x5 to design pieces for small model houses that will be cut out with a laser. The designs are pretty basic, 4 walls, 2 gables, 2 roof sections. Is there a way I can take what I've done and put it together virtually so I have a 3d model I can show people?
I do have the full x5 Technical suite, although the only program I have used is coreldraw.
I have a company profile I created ages ago with CorelDraw 12 or earlier. It has about 12 pages or more. Recently I tried opening it and get this error. Is there any solution?
When I open a new fileI choose new from template and then I choose the custom template I need to draw on. I would like to add pages, what can I do to obtain the same template?
Right now I am taking the scenic route by having the template I want on the first page, leaving it blank and making a copy on the subsequent pages to draw.
I have downloaded evaluation versions of Technical Suite X5 as well as X6 from Corel's website and face the following problem in both versions (both are 32 bit).
resolving this issue with the callouts:
While drawing callouts, the shape menu is not visible. I have reset the workspace several time and played with all possible options before writing on this forum. Actually, the menu did appear once but subsequently disappeared. While the menu was visible it was great to have text boxes at the end of the callout that automatically adopted to the size of the text. How to I activate the callout shapes option? I have included a screenshot of the menu from the pdf manual for your reference.
When I export to a cgm file the callout halo shows up with an outline. This happens in a program called IADS. If I drop the cgm into word the callouts and connector lines do not show up at all. Is there a reason it does that? Also some text will show up doubled or tripled sometimes when converted. If I delete that text re enter it and convert its fine. since not to many company's use cgm format anymore.
It seems that the object was created by the Geotechnical modules. It cannot be exported to AutoCAD. I tried to use the command "Export or Explode", all object will be disappeared e.g. borehole onto the profile, geologies contour line onto the profile… after clicked the commands.
Seems it takes forever to respond to changing styles/views/visual styles etc and Civil 3D goes into the classic dimmed screen and "Not Responding" mode.
