View 1 RepliesInstead of opening the psd-file normally from bridge into photoshop the file converts to smart object.
I used to work with CS3 where double-clicking in Bridge on a psd-file would open it in Photoshop. Now, when I double click in Bridge (CS6) it opens a "quick time pro" file, which I definitely don't want. When I use the right mouse to "place in Photoshop" it does so, but then automatically converts the file into a smart object, which I don't want either. What need I do to open a psd-file in Bridge as normal psd-file in Photoshop?
New install of LT2011. It has been working fine for a week. Now upon opening a drawing file, the first time I save the plan it immediately converts to Read Only file, therefore I cannot save my work.I have done one re-install with no fix.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a picture of a pear. One line marks the different colors between the pear and the background, one line parallel to the first one .I used vectorization, technical drawing to have the lines without problem. I would like to know how to determine the thickness of these lines.I would then later color the differents surfaces.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am new to Illustrator - I am scanning simple components on a technical drawing. These are line drawings - closed contours (for example, the outline of the cross-section of an aircraft wing). I am attempting to use Illustrator to convert the jpg scan to vector form - am saving the result as a .dwg file. I am then importing this into SolidWorks where I am attempting to extrude the form of the component prior to 3D printing.
In Illustrator I am using live trace to create the vector representation. However I'm finding that the vector representation appears to take the form of a number of segmented vector representations. As a result, in SolidWorks I can obviously not extrude the component.
Are there are additional steps within Illustrator that I should be using so as to clean up/unify the vector representation?
I have to make a technical drawing using a handmade drawing. When I use technical drawing option, I get a technical drawing with double lines, bacause the lines of my original drawings are a little thick. How can I get a tecnical drawing with one line and not double lines?
View 8 Replies View RelatedLooking for a solution to when photo filter doesn't seem to "take." Layer is unlocked and the file is a PSD. When "OK" is selected in the photo filter dialogue box, the image reverts back to it's original state. Seem like a computer/memory issue, however any experience you guys have with this...
Mode is RGB.

This is not present in the RAW files taken with a Nikon D7000. I asked Nikon and sent them some reference photos and they claim it is in the way that LR3 converts the D7000 RAW files to DNG.

View 11 Replies View RelatedIf we use the command ._Xopen to open a reference drawing, the file name of the reference file is converted to lowercase, and it gets saved this way if we save the drawing. (We typically name files using Camel Case and want to keep the file names this way)
However if we open the reference file by right clicking on the file name in the Reference Manager and choosing open, then the reference file is opened and the file name retains it's case.
This is from an online tutorial and is a typical view of the Library Filter. Notice that there are photo counts to the right of each of the search criteria. For example, All (2 Cameras) - 487 photos. Canon EOS 5D - 404 photos, etc.
Now notice a screen shot from my iMac with Lightroom 5.2 on OX 10.9 Mavericks.Notice that there are no photo counts after the search criteria. WHERE DID THEY GO? Or for that matter, were they ever there in this iteration of LR?Incidentally, I am aware the count will appear in the filmstrip (see the next photo) but that is not nearly as useful.
Is there any way to filter on the "Photo has Develop adjustments" flag? I can't find it, but the filtering capability seems a bit opaque to me so maybe I'm just missing it.
View 8 Replies View RelatedPart of an app I'm building needs to select entities based on symbology.
The filtering criteria varies and can be somewhat complex depending on what the user is after. (Multiple layers, entities, colors, linetypes, and lineweights)
I was going to try and use the SelectionFilter with the TypeValue, DxfCodes, and a SelectAll, but I'm not seeing a way to grab entities based on color book color.
Is there a better way to filter through the drawing by symbology?
When using the library filter on metadata no numbers are shown anymore, even not after clicking restore default presets?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have AutoCAD LT 2008 soon to be LT 2012 and I also have AutoCAD 2012.
I would like to know if there is a way that I can set up a Layer Filter and transfer it from one drawing to another.
Ideally we would be able to do this in the LT version not full. If there is some way to do this with Tool Palletes that would be great.
I converted a drawing in pdf format into dxf. I'm using Autocad 2012 to edit the file. The dxf conversion is good, but of course there is no difference between the diffent kind of lines.
I would like to select all lines which have an orientation of 30° with the horizontal and put them into a new layer. Is there a way to do that ? I though about using a filter.
Then I will edit the properties oh those lines (color, thickness, type....).
How to convert from photo to drawing.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI often work on drawings which have multiple xrefs, each having up to 100 Layers or more, so the layer manager can be a bit difficult to trawl through to find a local layer to select.
I know how to create a local layer filter using the code ~*|* from the new filter area in layer manager.
Ideally all I want to have to type in is: LOCAL and then the local layer filter would be created, with the filter name being Local-Layers (or similar).
