Photoshop :: Revert (F12) Cmd Does Not Work In CS3
Jun 29, 2008
I am unable to invoke the Revert command most (99.99%)of the time. It is greyed out in the File menu and pressing F12 does nothing. Is there some preference you need to set or is there some other trick to get it to work? Am using Win XP Pro SP3 but it did not work in SP2 either.

The new clone tool in CS6 shows you what you will be transferring to the photo. I find this distracting at times. Is there any way to revert to the original use of the clone tool where the transferred portion does not show up?

I am using Iphoto with PSE11 but when I save the edited (JPG) image it will not let me revert to the original image. If I select the saved photo with Iphoto it will only let me re-edit it with an external editor (PSE11). This works fine but I can't "Revert to Original" in PSE11. If I try to re-edit it with Iphoto which has the "Revert to Original" button I get the message "Photo edited in an external editor so can't be edited in Iphoto. Duplicate photo to edit in Iphoto". If I do this I still cannot get back to the original unedited picture.
There is an obvious way to get round this by duplicating the original image before doing any external editor editing but there must be an automatic way which I am missing.

I am trying to draw a shape using the illustrator line tool, and it always seems to revert to 1pt when I am using it within a shape, even when I manually change it to 0.5pt in the top bar, it does not change. I will go larger than 1pt but not smaller for some reason. It works when the line is by itself. As in not attached to a shape but as soon as you move it to connect with the rest of the shape it reverts to that large size.

I happened to update Illustrator CC 16/01/14. Which had a comment Bug Fixes. They had some cool updates but also a bug which stopped my work.
Step1: Created an multi-layered vector artwork with gradient fill and stroke.
Step 2: Saved as SVG file - Settings Profile: SVG 1.1
Step 3: SVG file is not saved properly hence unable to regenerate - Problem: Artwork Scale and Canvas size has minimised drastically.
Same art is saved perfectly in .ai format.Requirement is SVG format only. How can I revert the previous update. My MBP's Time machine is disabled from the beginning.

How to save an assembly as a new file, in a new location, and not have it update when the individual parts are modified? I need to be able to track the revision history of an assembly, and be able to revert to an assembly, as it was, at any time. I tried pack and go, but the sub-assemblies remained parametric, and reflected the current state. I would like to have file a1.iam, file a2.iam and file a3.iam, all using the same part or sub assy files, and not have them change when I create file a4.iam.

I need to revert to GIMP version 2.6. proper BASH commands to do this in an Ubuntu system.
Evidently I am not the "power-user" type for whom the GIMP team designed their 2.8 version. I only have about 20,000 photos, and I need to revise the JPGs or preferably work with PNGs. I tried resetting the keybinding to "overwrite," but even so, every time I close a file (about 25 x/day) it warns me that I have unsaved changes--because the GIMP PolitBuro has decided that only XCF is worthy, not my miserable uncompressed PNG (which is what I can use for my academic presentations. Default image viewers in Ubuntu/Kubuntu/Xubuntu don't read the XCF format).
So I need to revert to version 2.6 in a responsible way (repositories, dependencies, etc) while I wait for a fork to emerge so that I can switch to a full-featured raster editor designed by a less-condescending team of developers.

I have 2 staff members who both have recently had problems with their custom settings from OPTIONS revert to the default settings every time they close out of AutoCad. One is using AutoCAD 2013 on W7 & the other is using AutoCAD 2014 on W8.1.
They have to reset their display, units, osnaps, etc regularly. I suggested creating a profile they can use until we resolve the problem,

When I create custom swatches, I choose the CYMK option in the drop down box. However, these swatches are appearing as "RGB" mode in my swatch palette. Why is that? How do I ensure my custom swatches stay in CMYK mode? When I later view the CMYK code for the swatches, I see that their numbers are skewed a little (for example, 34 may be 35 or 36, etc).

Just lost an important photo. When I open X5, I select a photo. I click on one of the "Instant effects" The photo changes to whatever I selected. The problem. if I don't like it, that's tuf as the go back button does nothing 9 times out of 10 ("revert current editing") so, to get the original back I close X5 expecting to get the message "Save changes to xxxxx. No it seems it has saved it to whatever effect I chose.... no turning back it seems.

Wondering if there is a way to revert a powerclip frame back into an object (vector path).
If there is no feature I would like to request that in the next "upgrade" of CorelDraw. As it is now I am forced to use time consuming workarounds to complete my illustrations when they are ready for production.
What was the reason to get rid of the usual powerclipping such as it was in X5?

I am experiencing this issue every now and then and I don't know why or how it happens. No modifications to the BlockDefinitions or any BlockReferences are made and for some magic all multiline attributes in the drawing file revert to single line. After that happens the only way I know to fix them is to go through all definitions in the Block Attribute Manager and make every attribute multiline again. This is very annoying because I don't know how it happens so it can be prevented and because it takes time to fix them again. AutoCAD 2012 (Mechanical) on Windows 7 32 and 64 bits.

fix to the common errors caused by previous grab brushes surface proximity behavior along center axis. it was a small thing IMO but the solution created evena bigger issue.
now that is works mostly on some sort of volume proximity along x axis it becomes a big problem for moving around two discontinuous surfaces that are close to center axis.
that last version it was good was 2011. 2012 and onwards it seems to be ruined.

Upon starting up 2012 MEP I was asked if I would like to convert hatches with too small a scale to solid so as to safe virtual memory. I turned this on, and now I'm noticing some runs of piping showing up as solid. I would rather not have this seemingly random solid hatch all over my drawings.
Is there a way to go revert the hatches to their original scale/patterns? I'd selected the temporary option, however whenever I open the file now it shows as shown in the picture.

I am finding some inconsistencies when using tools provided in Paint.NET.
For 2 examples, I'll simply describe the behavior of the Escape key.
-----------
Exhibit A:
I would like to use Text to type in some letters with different colors. What I would do is press T (shortcut key for Text), select a color, type a letter, press ESC, nothing happened, click somewhere else, click back to the letter, select a different color, type a letter, ESC, nothing happened, repeat...
After I'm done, I press ESC again with nothing happening, and press a different shortcut key to continue editing, like O (shortcut key for Line/Curve).
Exhibit B:
I would like to draw a circle and a line. After finish typing, I press O four times to use the Ellipse tool, draw a circle, and then press ESC. Nothing happened. Next, I press O once to use the Line tool, start drawing a line, and then press ESC. At this point, my drawn line is canceled for good, and I need to either use Redo to recover it, or redraw the line again.
------------
Here I present to you these two exhibits. Notice that sometimes, pressing ESC does nothing other than jumping back to cursor, and sometimes cancelling the action that was done.
Would it be possible if the Escape key has a consistent action throughout all of the tools?
