I am trying to start a whole new image and I want another image I have in My Pictures to be in my brand new image. The problem is, I do not know how to put that old image in my new one.
View 2 RepliesI run a podcast, and I'm trying to create a banner I can use on forums and use in ads. There's one problem though, I have two pictures, one of me, and one of my co-host, and I want to put them kind of at the corners of the banner.
Is there any way I can do this? When I edit the image, the background stays with it, so I can't just do something like put one on top like in Publisher or Word. It's White, or Black, whatever color I want it, but I need it to be transparent...or better yet, non-existent.
Can anyone direct me to a good way of doing this without copying, pasting and distorting numerous times: Obviously the monitor in the monitor's display is supposed to have the picture in it; I think you get what I am trying to do here.

After putting all of these pieces together on a new window, how do make it possible to color manage the entire piece as a whole.... it needs levels and curves. If I do each piece separately, they will all be different.
I'm thinking that if I flatten the image, it will work? I don't know.
I cannot seem to find a very basic tutorial on layering images.....now I am not even sure if thats the correct term for it but...anyways this is what I would like to accomplish:
Take an image and paste in onto my own background.
ie. a sheep as the image ...back ground a lake or pond(marsh)....I would like to take him out of his original picture and make it look like he is stading in a river or pond or whatever.

View 9 Replies View RelatedOne of my students was using the Ruler tool to straighten an image. Her image kept flipping way off the canvas to one side, even though we checked to make sure her reference point for rotation was in the middle of the image (it was).
I can't duplicate the mistake or find any other complaints about/reference to it .

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently photographed a wedding. All my photos are edited and ready to be sent off to be printed into proofs. I am wanting to give my client 4x6s of each photo I took rather than a proof sheet. In order for them to be able to choose which photos they would like more prints of, I am wanting to add, in small type, the image name of each individual image in a lower corner.
I know how to accomplish this manually, however given the volume I'm dealing with I'd like an easy way to accomplish this in one fell swoop as a batch process. I have either Photoshop CS3 or Apple Aperture at my disposal.
drag the image INSIDE a selection, like with MSPaint? I find it really ironic that I can't find anything on this, since it seems pretty straightforward. I've used other editing software before, and it had a 'clipping' option, but I'm not seeing that anywhere here.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden, when I try to use Liquify in CS6, I get the following warning:
"Liquify is capable of utilizing the Graphics Processor on RGB files to increase performance. The color mode you have chosen will not utilize the Graphics Processor."
If I click OK and continue, the image is just blank inside Liquify. It used to work just fine. I am in ProPhotoRGB colour space.
I am trying to align two identical images which are 180 degrees rotated apart ( and not exact mirrors ) I need to be able to grab the rotation handles from within the area of the image. In order to see matching features I need to be zoomed in, and can't see the features if I zoom out far enough to grab the handles. I prefer the handles over numerically transforming.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a car image.. but I need to copy it out and into the bunch of circles. And the circles... oh boy. I tried using the Elliptical Marquee tool and made some circles... well it didnt work... I need a bunch of overlaping circles that dont look all too special, but have nice colors and when the overlap some kind of mixing color or effect.
Then I would like the picture of the car to be put in the bunch of circles, make the car colored opposite to the color the part is in. Like a wheel is in a blue circle... the wheel will be yellow etc.
Also I would like the page set-up to be the size a printable page is... so What is the # of pixels I should set it too for the best Printable Paper page ( standard size paper)

I have a rectangular box in perspective on a layer, I want to stick a picture on it , so I can use the Vanishing point filter (creating a right plane, copy/ paste that picture and placing it) and it works fine. But I have the same picture to do with a hundred of picture to stick, so I need that to be dynamic. I only had to right click my layer with dynamic picture, "replace content", and it auto-fills in the other layer with the vanishing point edit.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhenever I drag an image off the web into Photoshop it seems like some colors gets pixels, large black areas inside the image. This only occurs in 8-bit mode, when I turn the image to 32-bit it show all colors correctly. But in 32-bit mode I cannot save to web. If I finish the image in 32-bit and then downgrade it to 8-bit, the black parts return.

I have a donut shaped image, including the "donut hole" inner circle. The donut contains swirls made up of different colors. The problem is, when I apply the cut contour line to the image, it wants to cut the lines inside the donut, along with the outer and inner circle.
When I apply boundary, it does not include the cut line on the inner circle. I want to print/cut, and want the circle gone.
I have an image inside PowerClip. Every time I move the image a bit and stop editing the contents I notice that the earlier PowerClip area has left marks in the image. Actually it has cut a 1 pix line permanently on it.
I'm not sure if this happens only when editing PowerClips originally made with X5-version.
A bit annoying problem anyway. It basically destroyed all the images I used in a project...
I want to make flyers for my band. I used to put text onto jpeg images using the Microsoft PAINT program but I want to get better at GIMP.
I really like some of the text(s) I make using the word art function in Micrsoft Excel 2010 but it seems I can't cut and paste them onto the image when using GIMP.
Is there a tutorial on putting text onto an image and making the text glow like a light saber?
Every time I put a box around an image, i am not able to select the image inside the box. Instead it selects the box.
