I'm having issues with importing an image I created in photoshop that has a background transparency into another photoshop project. The part of the image that should be invisible, is not.

If I make edits to the compositions of the nested project, are those changes saved back to the nested project's orginal file? If I alter the original nested projects file, how much will it change instances of it nested in other projects?
X4. I created a 48hz sample rate 24 bit WAV file on my portable Tascam recorder.. I am creating a sales presentation for my invention. I have brought in many different videos I created on my camera and have edited them successfully with single clip and multi clip. Also have been able to split audio out of video. adjust sections using the nodes with the sound mixer.. move audio after split to different areas on the timeline.. However I need to do some voice over work. I figured it would be much easier and better quality for me to use my tascam to create the wav's and then just drop them into the project, edit them and place them where I want them, mute the voice I have on the video..
I was able to bring the .wavs in just fine.. and while editing them in clip mode they play just fine, I can shorten them or cut them where I need too. But when I choose to play back the project with the .wav in one one of the additional sound/music tracks I get very nasty static only. None of my recorded voice is audible. click to clip mode on the wav audio and it plays perfect. I tried moving it to the voice over track area and same exact problem.
am I missing a switch function somewhere? I made sure I muted the video clips above the .wav in the timeline. The manual says to use import option to bring in audio files but I do not see an import button anywhere? missing something? seems to me the drag and drop or add to library a wave file should work.. ??
I have a Project Template that is used when creating a new project. I noticed that the Tool Palette in the Project Template and the Tool Palette in the new Project are not the same. How do I get the new Projects to pull the same Tool Palettes from the Project Template?

I've built a project up with several smaller project file components. It's an easier way to create a video than editing one big project.
Opening the overall project and running it on screen is not a problem. However, when I try to create a smart package of the composite project, I get a consistent error message rejecting the process because of the existence of the component vsp's.
Is there a way to avoid the error and create a smart package from a project file that has smaller component project files?
Is it possible to assign a project number to a project file and have it fill in the project Iproerties field?

My question is how do I change the project no so that it re paths everything and reorganizes itself numerically in Windows Explorer...or should I just create a new project in Navigator and copy the files I need into the new project?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI do not have vault installed and I am trying to add sub files to my project. As of now my project has to find many of my files and I do not want to copy and past them into my project folder as this will mess with my parts numbering system. I want only one part / assembly file per part. I assume that you can do this with the project dialog box or some other system tool I just can not seem to figure it out.

After some time I decided I want to edit my video again and re-linked the files successfully but now when I try to play my project in edit mode it doesn't play smoothly, it stops and delays. View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter looking at reviews, I took the big step and bought the download version of Photo Pro X3, which got me a 2nd download file called Photo Essentials 4. Installed X3 first, then PE4. I've installed, uninstalled, reinstalled 'till I'm blue in the face. X3 looks like a good product, at least with the little I've done so far. But . . .
When I start Photo Essentials, which opens as Photo Project Creator, I get nowhere. Step one: selecting what you want to create works fine. However, on the screen where photo selection should be made, I only get the Desktop and My Computer icons, and My computer won't expand.
After 2 days of frustration, I decided to install ONLY Photo Essentials 4 on my wife's PC to see what happened. It opened with a screen that said Photo Essentials 4 at the top, and something that would allow me to paint over the top of a picture. Doesn't even resemble what opens on my PC.
Both PC's are running Windows XP Media Ed. I've noticed apparently similar problem with Windows 7, but is this really just the norm? I tried the cure I found elsewhere in this forum, by shutting down certain processes, and deleting everything within Digital Studio, but it didn't change anything.
In an assembly i project a circle. I use the new center point with the hole wizard and save the assembly and the parts.
When i move the original circle the hole doesn't move with it, and when i try to edit the hole's sketch there are no dimensions. So, i cannot move the hole.
Retain Transparency and Set Background Layer with PNG-24 Files
Whenever Flickr converts a PNG-24 file to a JPG, the transparent background of the multilevel PNG gets converted to black. I do not want this. I want PNG-24 file to retain its transparency and have a background color set for handling JPG conversion.
I heard this can be done by creating a 100 percent transparent white layer, setting it as the background layer, and flattening the image.
How do I do this with Photoshop CS3?
I've just landed some contract work where I will design glass forms/containers and render realistically. Also, I need to retain transparency so I change backgrounds.

I'm making a theme for a site and one of the solid color images has rounded edges through use of transparency levels. How do I replace the blue with orange (or any other color) but retain the original transparency levels of every pixel?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have started a new video project with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 in Photoshop CS6with a pixel aspect ratio set to square.. In the project I add a video to the timeline. The source video was created in QuickTime and exported at a 1920 x 1080 resolution MOV file. I have check both the source clip at the canvas siye and have confirmed that both are 1920 x 1080. However, when I import the video it takes up less than the entire frame. It appears that the video is being scaled down so that there is some white space to the right and below the video clip. See the image below.Â

In the past I have been able to import 1920x1080 video to a 1920x1080 project without a problem.  I have 4 or 5 examples that have worked well.Â
I have just upgraded from CS3. My workflow when preparing files for the printer is to print to postscript file, then use distiller to convert the file to pdf for sending.

CS3 retained the file location, so that each time I performed the same action, it went straight to the previous folder where the postscript file (for the current AI file) was created.

Now, in CS6, it takes me back to 'My Computer' (equivalent in Windows 7) every time... which is really, really frustrating to have to re-navigate back to the same server path every time I output the file. (Which I do a lot as I do final checks and proofing within acrobat, so need to perform this process frequently).
The co-worker has about 500 images of an automobile, and each image includes a peice of the car that has been removed. For instance, a peice of the bumper is removed, then on the next image the peice under that is removed, etc.
What they are wanting is to have the removed peices as seperate entities so the they can be used in the end-project that will consist of an animation showing all of the peices being removed from the automobile. This sounds like a huge, tedious task to me, and the only reason my name was brought up to help is because I am somewhat knowledgeable about Photoshop. I understand most of the tools and what not but the only way I know how to go about this project would be an image by image cropping and manual removal of said peices.
Are there any easier ways to go about this? Any other programs that may help with a task like this, such as maybe a way to grab differences within images and remove them automatically?
I converted all my FreeHand files. Some have transparencies. Illustrator shows the transparencies, but does not recognize them in the Transparency panel. It says they have 100% opacity even though they appear transparent. I assume this is just how they got converted. Is there any fast way to make them recognize their original opacity % as set in FreeHand?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI found out about DPI, i had to have this project finished in 300DPI for the printer. I have never used DPI settings and didn't know what it was until I was told I needed to change all 4 pages of the invitation I created for work to 300DPI from my original 72dpi.
I created the files all 9x6 inches - I changed the DPI on the already finished documents and the image BLEW UP larger WAY larger then 9x6, but he said this was correct.
2 Questions
Was the File Still 9x6 Inches, and if you change the DPI after the document was created in a lower DPI will the document still be crisp as can be (no including any images that were NOT created with photoshop such as images from camera, which I re-added so they were fine.)
Is there any way I can save my completed photoshop project as a .jpg file. I'm using photoshop cc.

That's all I know really, so I'm not sure what size to use. Should I select a large dimension using inches as a ratio (such as 8" x 10"), or should I use a resolution preset (such as 1024 x 768)? When she selects A4 as the paper print size the image prints leaving a white band of about 15mm at the foot of the printout. Printer : HP wireless B110a. She has set the image pixels at 600 per inch which seems a bit high. It looks like the foot of the project is slightly cropped off.

how she can print full A4 size with no borders - i.e. her A4 project fills an A4 page !
how do i add titles to the scene/time line so it only effects one photo , it keeps on transferring the titles ie(fun in the sun) onto other photo images in the scen e/time line.
