Photoshop :: Pink Dot Effect / Can't Seem To Duplicate It
Jun 29, 2013
Im trying to duplicate this photo with another and i cant seem to figure out how to duplicate the pink/purlpe dot effect that shows most through out the face portion of the photo.
I have tried most things but kinda closest was HARD MIX layer mode on a desatureted copy of the portrait photo with the bakground "pitched horizontal lines" bleeding through. But it didnt come close anyway..
I'm using CS5, not that it really matter much for this question. I've used the same watermark for probably 5 or 6 years now. All I remember about creating it was that I did it while either reading or watching a tutorial on the subject. The reason that I love it is because is shows up very well no matter whether it is over a light image or a dark image. I have long since lost the tutorial and have spent the last day and a half looking at other tutorials with no luck. None of the ones that I tried work on both light and dark images.  Unfortunately, although I've been editing images for years, I do VERY little text and or font and or font effects work. That's why I'm a total loss about this thing. I will be attaching a jpg of my watermark duplicated with one placed on a white background and the other on a black background. Take note that this is the exact same watermark on both backgrounds. It isn't one that is special for dark and one that is special for light.  Steps that I need to make in order to duplicate this effect so that it looks exactly like this on both white and black surfaces? The font is "IMPACT".
how this type of text effect was made. notice the reflection on top of each letter? there also appears to be a slight gradient and stroke around each letter. (not concerned about wave overlay)
i'm guessing this is some sort of plug-in for photoshop or maybe illustrator? i can't imagine anybody taking the time to do this by hand... at first glance it seems like a bevel effect but i can not duplicate it without going through a long process of filters and adjustments. it seems to be some sort of gel effect...
There's a certain movie poster for Pink Floyd: The Wall. Here's that iconic image:I want an image of mine to look like the paint splatters like that. Attached is the regular image.
I just recently got photoshop 7 and have a problem with it, I currently have PS6 installed and it runs fine. When I installed PS7 today as it was starting up after the installation it came up with a problem with my monitor I ignored it because I didnt and still dont think it is/was the problem.
The problem I have is well...pink. Everything is pink, many shades of pink, I can even get some dark purples but thats it I have no access to normal colors, even when I change the RGB settings.
i dont believe its been like this the whole time i've had photoshop. but anyways. ANYTHING in photoshop has a bit of a pink tint to it. tho i can save whatever im working on, look at it with another app. and it will be fine. i have an example here.
right is the saved file. looks normal. left is the file viewed in photoshop, and has a pink tint to it.
I open a photoshop file, I get a pink background covering parts of the canvas that otherwise would be white (or some other color) due to a solid color layer being used as the background layer (or rather, the bottom most layer). I've never had this problem before and have been using the same copy of photoshop for months. I haven't changed any settings, but nonetheless held down ctrl+alt+shift and apparently deleted the settings file in hopes if fixing this problem. but, i'm still getting the pink background. it's a quick fix to redo a solid color layer or even to delete the pink background (although it doesn't even belong to a certain layer.. i am just able to magic wand it and delete) but whenever i open the file, the pink background reappears.
The version they have is 5.5, every picture I load has a pink and black tint to it. The pictures will load fine in the windows explorer browser. I looked in the manual but had to idea where to start.
why my pictures won't appear correctly on the screen after loading them.
I went to Image -> Mode -> RGB but it didn't change. I am opening .jpg files.
I am having trouble with Photoshop. It workds fine with the exception that all my white colour (photos and application) appear pink. If I look at the colour pallette, black is fine but all colours towards white simply get pinker and pinker. Any ideas?
I recently came across with Photoshop. Basically when I try to use grey as a colour, it seems to have a pink hue to it and looks terrible. The grey isn't pure and looks all sorts of wrong.
I've checked the colour settings and everything is default, my monitor seems fine as the usual grey appears perfectly on any websites. It's just on Photoshop, things simply don't look right. So I'm a bit stuck on what to do next, as anyone else had this problem before and is there a possible fix?
To better describe, I have provided a picture of the problem, as you can see the grey looks wrong and as a pink hue.
I have Photoshop CS. When I try to use the type tool by clicking on it and then clicking on the image (to place the cursor), the background of the iamge turns a pinkish colour. My foreground and background colours are both white. My settings are default ones.
I have my own party decoration business. I had to stop my printing services because out of the blue one day, my printer just messed up everything. I no longer have it as it broke down, but now I have the same problem with no matter what printer I use to print the same file. It's suppose to print purple, and it prints the purple parts pink. It turns the aqua blue into more of a royal blue. I am using Photoshop 7.0. It also did the same thing to me in CS2. Â I have tried 4 different computers, 3 different printers, and 3 different operating systems.
I know it is quite easy to do in Photoshop, but I forgot how to do this. I want to replace green background in the top image to darker and lighter pink stripes to match the color of the website.
I've been going in the direction of:
1) Select color range (Pick green and just + the other shades of green to it) 2) Create Clipping mask from the Selection (I actually have all the green background on white and nothing else on the screen, but I am kind of stuck at this point)
I have the brush and the layer set to 100% opacity and the layer is set to normal but it's not coming out normal.. I choose a pink color and stroke somewhere and it comes off as a highlighter yellow and looks like it's about 20% opacity in other places on the layer the color doesn't even show up.. I take a pink color and color over a black and it turns red.. and other places it's completely normal. Also i can erase a color and then paint in that spot but if i don't erase first it won't let me paint there. Â Btw I've tried checking my layers brush settings and opacity all fine. I'm using photoshop CS6
I've been getting pink or purgle lines bordering certain objects in my photographs. You can see them on the RAW images. When I merge them using HDR you can see how prominent the lines become. I'm not sure if the problem occurs in my camera (Canon T2i) or lens when I take the shot.I've tried using Color Range and the Magic Wand Tool but it is a tedious process.
I have a damask flourish design in JPEG format. I want to change the entire color of the design from green to pink. How can I do that? I have an older version of Photoshop Elements 6.0 on my Windows XP machine, but can upgrade to 11 on my Macbook Pro.
I don't know what is happening, everything is ok except the floor has this "pink noise" parts, I only have one vray light outside the window and several (less powerful lights) above the board.
I guess one way to do it would be to capture the color of my facial skin, then paintbrush the area over with that color. But how do i do that? or do you have a better method?
I have a business card that uses various shades of gray. When I print from Adobe Illustrator or make a PDF and print that with high quality setting, the grays print as pink. Light grays print as pastel pink; darker grays as pink+gray tints. Odd.  If I print using standard settings (Mac, Print, click Setup, choose Quality and Media in standard Mac print dialog, choose print for plain paper, quality=standard) the colors look normal but the quality is so-so -- the lighter grays print with a diffusion dither and there is an occasion light blue stripe in the gray.  If I print using quality=high, I get the pink. Light pink where I am using 40% gray, darker pink for 50% gray, a gray+pink mix for 80% gray.  Printing other docs using other apps have no issue. Just this document using Adobe Illustrator. And if I save as PDF and print using Mac Preview app, same problem.  See attached. Everything pink should be gray except the bright magenta diamond in the M.  Mac OS X 10.9.2, Adobe Illustrator CS 6 16.0.4, printing to Canon MP610 inkjet printer.
