Photoshop :: Photomerge With Several 1000 Images....

for seafloor mapping. My biggest one so far consisted of 15.000 images. Unfortunaletly, I can't do them in one step, I need to produce submosaics of up to 250 images and then stitch them together manually after rendering.
Since I reach limits, some exchange of thoughts concerning "extrem photomerging" would be great. Has anyone of you similar experience with photomerge compositions that big?
What hardware would you recommend for maximum photo merge performance (PC only)?
Unfortunately, with CS3, Adobe eliminated the option to load the images to the image tray only, without any attempts of Photoshop to merge the images first. This sucks, of course. So I have to use CS2 still for the composition and CS3 only for rendering. Does anyone know whether CS4 has got the manual option back?
I have a batch of 1000 images that all need to be processed with the exact same levels adjustments and the exact same crop command. I recorded the necssary actions in photoshop, and I can now open up approximately 20 of my images and batch apply the actions to all 20 images automatically. The trouble is that I have 1000 images to process like this, and I can't open all 1000 in photoshop at once; it just kills my machine. I don't want to do the whole 1000 in little batches of 20 either. I'll be getting a new pile of 1000 images to process like this every day or two, so I need a way to do the whole 1000 automatically without user intervention. Â Is such a thing possible? Â I'm a software develoeper by profession, so if doing this sort of massive batch processing requires any command line work or scripting then I would totally be up for that.
I may just be missing something here. If I open an image in photoshop and crop it, the image shows up at the new cropped size and I can then save the new image. I have 1000 people images with all different sizes but the same ratio. My hope is to create an action that crops a photo to a standard size and then saves into another folder. Â So I started my new action and did the crop and saved. Then I ran this action using automate and batch. The processing does happen but the images are cropped and then remain in a black box the size of the original photo. This is a problem for me... I only want to see the resized photo.
I just took three images of a sunset so that I could create a panorama image. When I use photomerge in photoshop cs6, only two images merge together and the third image is left by itself. I overlapped each image a sufficient amount but I still can't merge the third image.
Here is a screenshot of the end result. Am I not overlapping enough, or is there something I am doing wrong?
I shot landscape images for a panorama of 4 rows with 6 images in each row. The first image on the top row includes the top of a tree, but the other 5 images only has sky. Photomerge will not merge the 5 images of the top row because it only has sky in the image. I can merge the bottom 4 rows without a problem and can include the first image on the top row, but not the others.
if anyone has been able to do this in Photomerge. When I use images taken with a fisheye lens and turn on geometric distortion correction, Photomerge gives me an image that is shaped like an 's' on it's side. How am I supposed to use that in a panorama? By the time it's cropped to a rectangular shape, there is nothing left to see in the image.
In PS CS2 I used to manually align 3 images in Photomerge to make a triptych (not a panorama). I can't figure out how to do this in CS6. Do I need to work with a tool other than Photomerge?
I am trying to create a panorama using 5 images. I did this 6 months ago using Photoshop CS5 and it produced a nice sharp image like my originals were. Using CS6 it is not sharp at all, to the point of being quite useless. If I can't figure this one out I am just going to go back to CS5.  both panorama's were created from the same 5 images, in the second one I just wanted to make it a bit warmer because the white balance in the first image doesn't accurate reflect the colours that I saw. The second one created in CS6 looks really bad. And are there any solutions besides scrapping CS6 in favour of CS5?
I have 125 raw photos that are 4912*3264 pixels I am trying to photomerge all them using the Cylindrical setting. And it is not working. I have let it go for like 12 hours and nothing is happing. Windows task manager flashes "photoshop not resonding" then it goes away and back and repeats... Processor peaks out only at like 15% after all images load and it starts to process.  I tried going into Preferences and messed with ram allocation etc and other settings.Using latest PS version  I am using CS6 Windows 8 x64 Intel Core i7 920 18 Gig of Ram main drive for windows raid for casch disk for images Nvidia GTX 560 HD
We have recently installed Photoshop cs6 on two Mac Pros. On one of them, Photo merge is erasing parts of the individual images while stitching. The part of the original image that is covered by masking, is also erased when the mask is disabled. The merged image generally comes out fine, however, this problem can make it much more troublesome if one needs to adjust the combined image.  On the second Mac, Photo merge works the way that it seems to work in all examples I´ve found online - the individual images retain all their pixels under the mask.  The method we´re using is Layout: Auto, with "blend images together" as the only checked box.
I'm looking for a program that can take 100's or 1000's of pictures and combine them based on their overall color spectrum into the pixels of a specific design.
I have been trying to draw in mm, i.e, when i draw a line 1000 i want it to be 1000 mm. but currently when i do that i'm getting a line way too long, cant even zoom out to see it fully. i can only draw shorter lines (ex. 30) to be able to see it fully.
Created a block, from another, already in drawing, save block as (4bay window to three bay inwdow)
When in insert, the scale factor is set at 1000 and I cant change this. My only other way around it is to explode a 4 bay, make it a 3 bay, then use the create and retain as block. 1:1 scale in model space same in block editor. how can i change the scale factor?
I am having trouble plotting to scale, I have a large drawing which is set up in metres so I understand I need to scale up the figure by multiplying by 1000 but the problem is: I set up my paper at A1 and then zoom and adjust to an acceptable scale which turns out to be 1:850 by typing in .85xp, once drawing is printed to scale it is not 1:850 but 1:1185 approx, the thing is using the exact same method if I scale to 1:1 equivalent to 1:1000 the drawing IS to scale. Using design jet 500 and Autocad LT 2011.
I created some posters last year and I need to make them again this year. For some reason I'm not able to increase the font size past 1000.  I wrote down the instructions last year. The only thing I can't remember is how I increased the font to 2000. I can get the font size to 1000, but as soon as I increase it nothing shows up on the screen except the blinking cursor.  I'm using Paint.net 3.5.10 build 3.510.4297.28964 on windows 7. I have the image resolution set to 300.  I have also tried this same thing using the latest version of Paint.net on windows 8. I get the same behavior but I can't increase the font size past 900.  The file I created is too large to attach.
When batch processing actions in Illustrator, it will not allow me to change the Transparency Resoluition and I have over 1,000 eps files to process. You can only select from the dropdown by doing it manually. The "default" or preset is Medium. I need high res. Â This is what I need to do to 1,000+ eps files. Â 1. EPS file is open in Adobe Illustrator CS6 on Windows. 2. File > Save As> filename.eps > Desktop 3. EPS Options > Transparency > Preset: [High Resolution] 4. OK Â When you automate this through batch processing an action, you cannot select [High Resolution]. [Medium Resolution] is selected as default. I need for all my files to be [High Resolution]. Â My printer software will not read the cutlines on any other file formats so they must be High Res EPS files.
I've got a customer that needs 1000 serialized artwork for a project. Is there a way in CorelDraw to layout a series of artwork and have the numbers automatically change from 0001 to 1000?
We are a water utility and have thousands of detail drawings of service taps and hydrant connections (maybe 11,000 total). These are in the old Microstation J format. Each drawing is divided into a top half and bottom half. The bottom half of the drawing is the actual drawing portion.
The top half of the drawing is text that comes out of an Old Oracle database, into Microsoft Word 2000 through mail merge then is copied and pasted into the top portion of the card. Newer drawings done like this and opened in AutoCAD have the top portion identified as an OLE object (embedded object), while the older drawings just look like a drawing in the top.
I'm looking to update the system to ArcGIS and AutoCAD. The data will be moved to a Microsoft Access database (probably later SQL Server), and I want to convert all the old Microstation drawings into an AutoCAD format. ArcGIS will provide the basemap and be linked to the database, with clickable hyperlinks to open the AutoCAD drawings. I would like to be able to keep the bottom drawing half while changing the top half of each drawing to reflect updated data in the database. If this can be automatically updated, that would be awesome.
One is the best program to automatically bulk convert the drawings from Microstation J to AutoCAD (I have 2011). Also, I'm looking for a method to display the text from the database in the top portion of the card using either mail merge with AutoCAD or some automatic method of pulling the info out of the database. Can I just copy-paste this info into AutoCAD as we did with Microstation or is there a better way?
I had to reinstall an OS in my computer due to a virus. As a result LR 3 in no longer installed. I still have the catalog on a backup disk and have just installed and updated to LR 4.4. What is the best way to merge the V3 catalog with V4 and are there any things I should expect or look out for?
I took a series of photos (9 shot vertically) of the lobby of AKL. I made adjustments in Bridge (3.0.0.464) then choose Photomerge through tools in Bridge to process the pano in CS4 (11.0). The images were processed for the natural light. Follow the link to see what CS4 came up with. The files were .dng processed with CS3. I have made many other photomerges using this combo, but this is first to achieve this type of result. In CS4, I used the vignette and distortion options.
I'm using Photoshop on Vista 32. When I try to do a photomerge either from PS or Bridge, it does its stuff, then closes everything immediately. Reboots / changed options make no difference.
When i run a Photomerge (using jpegs) i have even tried using the sample jpegs that come with the software of the SF skyline.
I select my images, and it runs the usual sequence of starting the layers and merging then when it ends its just dissappears looking like the software has just opend with nothing happening.
Ive tried every combination to make them work and nothing. i never get to see any results.
I am using CS4, and ive also tried in CS3 again which is still installed on my partition. and its not working in that either. it used to work with no problems bit not now.
Just created a panorama out of 4 jpegs (together about 33MB) and saved it as jpeg. Now I want to create another panorama out of 10 jpegs (together about 73MB), it worked fine, but I can't save it in jpg format. CS3 only offers .psb, raw or tif.
I tried 4 times consequently to stitch 4 images in Photomerge activated from Bridge - with same settings (auto and defaults i.e. blending images on, vignette removal off, distortion correction off). I was surprised of the result because each time I tried PS generated different panorama. Just to make sure I thoroughly checked if the stitch settings were really the same - they were... Am I missing something essential?
When I click file automate - photo merge, I get an error message popup saying "Photoshop CS5.1 has stopped working." with options to check on internet for solution or close program. No error codes!  I reloaded my Photoshop to my C: drive about a week ago, but everything else seem to be working as it is supposed to. I have also installed a wacom pro, but I can't see where this would affect it.
When I have two or more photos open and I want to move them around, everytime I drag one over the other it becomes transparent. This transparency seems to happen once I drag the photo over the ruler but I could be wrong. Once I release the mouse button the two merge into one photo. I believe this has something to do with the photo merge feature. Can I turn this off?
I've seen recent posts about Photo merge crashing, I tried all the workarounds and remedies to no success. I run as Admin and still crashes, and only Photo merge is causing to crash. All other presets and automates are working just fine. I've deleted all Temp files and App Data, still nothing.  My stats are:  Windows 7 Professional Intel i7 vPro (2860Qm @ 2.5GHz) 16GB Ram Nvidia Quadro 2000M (lastest drivers, 266.96) Scratch disk is 200GB and I'm using about 9GB of Ram  So I don't think it's my computer that's the problem, but either the java script file for the automate or possible update?
Photoshop CS5 crashes when I try to use photo merge. Is there anything I can do so this wont happen?? Now I can't make panorama pictures. It's on my laptop it doesn't work. Samsung laptop with Windows 7. It works on my stationary computer with Windows Vista. I have the same version of PS CS5 on both computers.
The Photomerge in Photoshop CS4E is a fantastic tool when it gets it right, but what can you do when it doesn't? I've got a bunch of 9 images (in a "Noughts and Crosses" or "Tic Tac Toe" layout), all with 50% overlap, but a lot of fairly blank areas - this can't be avoided, they are nautical charts. When I do Auto Photomerge on these, a couple of the images get put in the wrong place. Is there a way to position the images in their approximate place, then get Photoshop to finish the job automatically?
