Photoshop :: Photo Blacking Out In CS6 While Using Tools?
Dec 12, 2012I am having problems with my photos blacking out. It doesn't matter if I'm using the crop tool, paint brush, layer masks, ect. I can't see what I'm doing.

Photoshop :: Blacking Out Background
Jun 26, 2007I have this picture of me in the middle and I'd like to black out the entire background. I used the Polygonal lasso and selected certain areas then used fill to fill them in black. However there are still rough spots around my arms and it's not very smooth looking at all. My friend reccommended using the feather tool, but I can't figure that one out either.

Dec 1, 2012I am running an ATI HD 5670 video card and recently upgraded from Win 7 64bit to Win 8 64bit. The screen is blacking out on select and crop. I also experienced this after installing CS6 on Windows 7 64bi Pro. The problem was resolved by installing a new driver. I have the latest driver installed.

Oct 14, 2013Whenever I create a shape on my canvas, or I use a shape as a clipping mask, the entire canvas blacks out and I can't see anything until I click off to the side, in the workspace, so none of my layers are selected. This has happened when I have dropped items onto my canvas and am moving them around, as well.

Nov 20, 2007A family member scanned an old photo of my great grandparents and sent it to me. I would like to work on it in PS, but I'm not sure which tools would be the best to use for this.
Someone seems to have wiped off some dirt in the middle, but it's not well done at all. The first thing I would do, is to set the Levels, and perhaps have a go with the Clone Tool, but if any of you can suggest other tools, I'll try to clean it up. I will also see if I can get a photo with the whole frame on.

Oct 9, 2012I am using Inventor 2013 to create some complex shaped Maritime items. They have a lot of lofts, variable radius curves, fillets, etc. Anyway, on the more complex pieces, my menus start to dissapear or a dialog box, for example the fillet dialog box, will turn solid black and my system will hangup for a minute while executing the command. Am I running low on system memory or is this a video card issue? Here are my system specs:

Jun 23, 2011I recently had a computer virus. The hard drive was scrubbed, and we had to reinstall all our programs.
Now, on my CorelDraw X3 graphics suite, the photo paint program is only partially functional. The clone and paint tools do not work anymore. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of times, rebooted the computer, but no progress. We have Windows XP, the same as before.

Oct 21, 2011I am using AutoCad Civil 3D 2012, with windows XP, and when I type "extrim" at the command line, I get this:
Command: extrim
"bad argument type: listp #<SUBR @2f9669b0 BONUS_ERROR>"
There are also a few other express tools that when picked from the ribbon menu, do not work either. Now, I have seen elsewhere on the web that in this case, you should make sure there are no search paths set to R14 Bonus tools (which mine aren't), or repair and update express tools from add/remove programs in the control panel. I did this, and the only thing that happened was the numbers after SUBR@ changed.

Nov 20, 2013When trying to place an image into a new document in photoshop elements 12, I select all-copy-paste the image (or even drag it) over to the new doc created. However, when I do this - the image does not paste in at the same size. It typically shrinks down in size. Do I have to save the file, close out and then open the new doc and PLACE it in the document in order for it to keep size? There must be a better way to do this. Basically, how can I drag a photo that is 4x6 over to a new doc while keeping the size at 4x6.
