A family member scanned an old photo of my great grandparents and sent it to me. I would like to work on it in PS, but I'm not sure which tools would be the best to use for this.
Someone seems to have wiped off some dirt in the middle, but it's not well done at all. The first thing I would do, is to set the Levels, and perhaps have a go with the Clone Tool, but if any of you can suggest other tools, I'll try to clean it up. I will also see if I can get a photo with the whole frame on.
I am attempting to clean up/repair a damaged wedding photo to be displayed at a funeral. The photo (about 70 years old) has been crumpled or folded over the years. I have scanned it into the computer and have tried to use the clone tool to remove the fold lines. At a magnification of 200 or less, the clone tools works fine. However, I need to work at about 2000 magnification to remove lines from the bride's face and hair and veil. I cannot seem to get the tool to function at all at this mag. It will give me the dotted line and then change to the arrows but you cannot move ANYTHING.
My Vista system has developed a few bugs which are not cured by Norton 360.Dragging a window causes it to maximize in a few programs PASTE does not work in some programs -- including X4..The CROP tool stopped working in X4 but is OK in X5 High-lighting is erratic in WORD etc.
I can only run a "clean" install from my OEM disk which means reloading all applications. I was wondering if I should give up and install Windows 7.
What has been your experience with Windows 7/ Did you do a "clean" install or just the update.
I am having problems with my photos blacking out. It doesn't matter if I'm using the crop tool, paint brush, layer masks, ect. I can't see what I'm doing.
When I select an object which I want to modify (Lighten/Darken or Colour Balance) the appropriate controls appear, but invariably cover the object I want to modify.
i have cs5 suite. last week everything fine in photoshop. this week, only the tools that are showing are available to use. i can not access the tools when i click on the corner of individual tools. i am running version 10.6.8
i'm using my corelphoto paint x3 for a year now and it is working fyn then on one occassion i don't know but while editing an image, i suddenly discovered that my effect tools, paint tools, clone tools wont work or wont make changes on the image i'm editing... i've already checked the menus and settings but still no work..i also tried reinstalling the program but still it's all the same..
I recently had a computer virus. The hard drive was scrubbed, and we had to reinstall all our programs.
Now, on my CorelDraw X3 graphics suite, the photo paint program is only partially functional. The clone and paint tools do not work anymore. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of times, rebooted the computer, but no progress. We have Windows XP, the same as before.
I instal form SDK User Tools because I need in Inventor Drawing Tools (Revision cloud). I do this install like on website Autodesk show and I didn't get it on ribbon. I do also registry of this plugin but I also didn't get it.
There seems to be way too many tools in the tools panel for me. Many of them I will rarely, if ever use. Is there any way I can rearrange or remove some of them? It would unclutter the screen immensely.
I have an interactive board with tools (such as pen or eraser) which I want to integrate with the AI. The typical scenario woulld be as follows: the user lifts the pen from the tray, the pen event will me mapped into selecting Pencil Tool from AI toolbar after which the user can add freehand annotations to the AI document.
Is there an API which would allow me to map abailable hardware tools with relevant AI tools? Is there an example which would demonstrate such integration?
A couple days ago I am download and install Adobe Photoshop CS6 Trial and It's great. But I have a question — because I need only Photoshop, how I can delete all other Adobe apps that a don't need (Like Bridge, Extension Manager, etc.).
I have noticed with PS CS2 that when I make an image with the gradient tool that it leaves horizontal lines on the image. If I'm working with the gradient tool it does not leave a clean image. There are always some vertical, horizontal, or angulared lines ,,,or even circular lines that I don't want in my images.
When I make the images in CS2 and view them, it's fine. But after I save it and open it up in something else or CS2 later, the lines appear on the image.
How do I make an image so that it does not have the horizontal marks or lines in it.
After using the Filter Extract and Magic Lassoo methods to erase a background of say a model, I usually end up with lots of artefacts.
I then use the backgound erase to remove these. But I find it very time consuming as they do not show up that well on the standard grey checkerboard background.
I drew this image and scanned it, and as you can tell the lines are very light and not precise. This is my original image:
I'd like to digitize this image and make it more professional and clean. I've tried image trace in illustrator and many adjustments in Photoshop. Here is my result:
Much better than what i started with but still not professional and clean enough for branding.
I have seen some design of text that is very clean but for some reason, my text has some kind of feather on it. I have tried to change different properties of the text but it doesn't work. As you can see in the image, the first button, the text is very clean (got it from a website) compared to the second one.
I am prepping a character for cut-out animation, in Photoshop CS6. I am at a stage when i need to clean up layer edges (all the artwork is bitmap and created in Photoshop with brushes) I had tried zooming and rubbing out , any noticeable debris around the artwork, but i watched a tutorial where a person set up a function key which displayed a red border around the opaque parts of the layer, which is just what i need, for efficient clean-up.
Unfortunately, it wasn't explained in the tutorial how it was done. I have searched and searched, but i don't even know what the action is called in Photoshop that does that.
I am on a Mac OS 10.5.8 with Adobe CS2, Acrobat 7.0 Professional, and Illustrator and Bridge.
I have a bunch of print-outs of old documents that came from a microfilm copy. I need to include them in a report, so I need to scan them in. I have tinkered with various settings (100 dpi - 300 dpi) and of course I would like to keep them small sized. At 300, one came in at 10 MB which is absurd.
My second problem is that part of the print-outs are really difficult to read--it's usually one section that has a lot of mid-tones. I can use levels and curves somewhat, but they seem to affect the whole document.
I have multiple pictures of the same product but had to focus on different parts to get those parts in focus. As you can imagine, this meant other parts were out of focus.
I seem to remember during one of the "CS3 is cool" seminars I attended that something along the lines of what I'm hoping to do is possible.
I would like to merge these images together to form one image with everything in focus. Exposure is the same on each of them.
Is this possible (and if so, how) or am I dreaming?
I screen capture a web page I want to modify and plop new text on it. But the fonts in my screen capture are more crisp than the text I type in Photoshop! The fonts I type in Photoshop look blurry, fat, messy, "like crap" - even though I set my anti-aliasing to "crisp".
Is there a better way of getting cleaner text to display?
Is there a 3rd party plugin I could use or something?
