I have the colored logo in vector but I need a crisp clean vector black and white outline.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI drew this image and scanned it, and as you can tell the lines are very light and not precise. This is my original image:
I'd like to digitize this image and make it more professional and clean. I've tried image trace in illustrator and many adjustments in Photoshop. Here is my result:
Much better than what i started with but still not professional and clean enough for branding.
I try and try to get how vector points work... within Illustrator and within the pen tool in Photoshop and just cannot get to grips with it. So when i create a logo I tend to start my work in photoshop where generally i will end up with a font and a shape.
Â
Now i understand the basics, such as not resizing the shapes / fonts if they are rasterized etc and generally keeping things crisp looking within photoshop but my problem comes when trying to turn my reletivly simple font and shape into a vector based image so that it can be scaled up and down
Â
My logos look immaculate when viewed at 100% in photoshop, but as soon as i create a work path from the selection it never makes a crisp path, with all the correct curves and straight edges that i expect to see.
Â
Up till now, i always assumed it was just the original fonts that i use and they just arent created completly smooth. But now my work path is really wonky. Whether i use a tolerence of 0.5 or not.. it just doesnt hug my lettering at all. The marching ants i see are even better placed than the work path.
Â
Ps. I use CS6
Any way to convert this image to a vector without having to recreate the entire thing. I need to make it so that it can be used like the rest of the logos on this sponsor backI have tried so many different ways but it's just not coming out right. The client doesn't have access to a better copy of the image, and I need to get this to the printer tomorrow.
View 3 Replies View Relatedway to create an outline contour cut for decals? Iv'e been doing this for years and it's been a headache. I have the graphic/text, duplicate it with a thick outline. Say .25". Then Convert Outline To Object. The problem I have is that if it's a complexe graphic or line of text, a number (sometimes a large number) of the nodes are broken and I have to join them. And CD sometimes adds way too many nodes. So I have to spend a long time deleting unnessesary nodes to clean it up.
Iv'e had people suggest to use the Arrange, Shaping, Boundery function. But that doesn't allow me to make the boundery any further away from the art.
Im tryin to make a logo for a web site into a vector graphic that i can use with the custom shape tool. I've read at the adobe web site how to do it but there is one catch. When you paste it it says to set it to paste on a new shape layer. I cant seem to make it create a shape layer, only a new one. Can somebody enlighten me?

The logo is a cartoon character and i need to create a vectorised colour version of it.
She now tells me she wants it in different sizes without pixel issues. The only way I know to do this is through vectorizing the file. Is there any way at all possible to save this file as a vector without re-creating it?
The file is a multi-layered product which I felt was a bad idea for a logo, but it's what they wanted.
I've read through googling, there are programs to do this for me. I also read somewhere where I could export the file out as a PDF and CorelDraw could do it. But does this mean tracing out the file -- and basically recreating it?
I downloaded the trial of Illustrator but can't figure out the that process either.
Here's my problem: There is this font, Alberto Heavy Hollow, and I want to put it into Photoshop, alter it a bit, and then simply give the new font a black outline and 1 color fill. After that, I can include the colored name in my logo design.
I have tried converting it to paths, outline stroke, then sometimes when I want to do something to the font, under the "Object" selection, the thing I want to do is not activated in bold type.
I have a logo that was scanned from a letterhead , and I want to be able to trace it using photoshop and convert it to a vector image. Whats the best way?

fix this problem, I've tried things like using quick selection and refining the edged (bringing them in) or feathering the edges etc. But it just doesn't look professional and decent for a logo. Here's the direct link:[URL]...

Completely new to graphic designs, how to properly use CorelDRAW for anything. I am attempting for the first time to convert a bitmap logo to a vector image.
I am able to upload the image into CorelDraw X5, but after that I am just guessing along as what to do and ultimately accomplishing nothing more than frustration.
The logo on a website needs to be scaled for printing purposes and it was originally created with photoshop without the original .psd layered file. What i have is the .png file which I am looking to convert to vector. I've read from this forum that I can convert to smart object but that is if I had the layered shapes. What is the easiest way to go about doing this?

I have a logo with text that I am starting to need as Vector image to get things printed etc. At this stage I only have this as photoshop document and jpeg.
Â
How ot get started in Illustrator to either convert or to recreate the logo etc so I can then do whats needed.
I am working on a corporate logo consisting of two different shapes, and I want to combine them into one. The end result has to be a vector image.
Â
One of the shapes is slightly bigger than the other one, and I want to remove the parts that are at the outside of the other shape. It's a little tricky to explain, but what I want to do, is equal to the "Paste into"-option in Photoshop where an inserted object is placed within the borders of another.
Â
Is this possible in Illustrator?

I'm not that familiar with paths, so I don't know what to do...

when I browse image files I find that the Photoshop/Adobe logo has been replaced by the Netscape logo. When I attach a file in email the N-scape logo is there by file name/number not Photoshop logo. Anyone know why or have this issue?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am making myself a logo in photoshop. I have made all the letters that will be used, but they are all seperate entities as most of you who have used vectors know. I would like to interconnect the letters, as well as an angel I have made to go above the letters. My question is, how can I join two seperate vector images into one vector image. For example, joining a letter E with a letter D. I wonder if theres a way to do this without having to delete part of each image and then re-draw, which is a pain. Sorry if this isn't really clear, but its hard to explain.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble doing this in my current software, Serif Drawplus, PSE, Photoplus, (I have Gimp but haven't used it ever yet). And I am considering buying X6 for use in other projects. So, can x6 do this in either Photo Paint with a bitmap, or in X6 with a group of Vectors?
I want to wrap a bottle with a logo. The mesh warps aren't working for me in the above applications, and envelope warping will not work either. Transform-Warp is not present in PSE. I mention that because I see a tutorial for PS using that. How would Corel X6 Suite do this? I am considering buying the software once some questions I have about it are cleared up. I wish Corel would make the manual and tutorial videos public. I'd rather download the trial for actually using it rather than trying to see if some feature is present, or a workaround for a feature a competitor has.
I am also hoping to make in this project, some 10-20 different bottles with the logo on, of different sized bottles and different rotations of the bottles. Plan D is acquainting myself with Blender, but lets hope I don't have to go that far!
I am "vector tracing" a logo in PSP, and exporting it to Motionstudio 3D for an explosion effect. I am currently able to do this with no issue, but the explosion effect (specifically the size and shape of the particles) is based on connecting the nodes in a vector object. For example, if I have a capital L made up of 10 nodes, the subsequent explosion effect with separate the L into particles based on the 10 nodes. What I want to do is have the various nodes that comprise the traced letter connect with constituent nodes in the center/surface-area of the letter to form a "grid" (in PSP) so that the subsequent explosion (after export to Motionstudio) is comprised of more/smaller particles. Is there a way of not only having a vector object with "fill", but also having that "fill" made up of other vector data?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using Illustrator since the late 80's but this request just now came up for the first time, twice in one day: the clients each want me to send them layered files (OK-no problem) wherein all the layers, even the raster layers, register as vector layers. Or at least all the layers, regardless of file-type (vector or raster) are contained within an unflattened Illustrator file. One of the clients specifically asked that the Type layer (No problem-all the type is on one layer) be "vector mapped", whatever that means, while all the other layers can be Photoshop layers, if necessary. So how do I hand them an open, unflattened Illustrator file containing both vector art and raster art? Can it be done in Acrobat, as a PDF? I'm working in AI and PS CS5, but I can and will upgrade if I have to.

I _think_ it was Macromedia FreeHand 8, and that I used a plug-in w/in that program, but I can't recall. Any way other than rendering the drawing as a half-toned bitmap and then tracing it? Or re-drawing the image on top of such a bitmap?
I created a rectangle box but I cant seem to clean up the edges where the seperate rectangles meet. How do I go about this? Below is a picture.
