I created a couple of psd files last night. A simple pricelist in photoshop and I developed a habit of saving every few minutes. I can't remember if I closed photoshop last night or not but when I woke up this morning, my pc had rebooted itself (re-started).
I open photoshop to start working on the files again and this icon appears but with the name that I saved my files as (8.5x11_pricelist) . I tried to open it in photoshop and I get the error: "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document." I clicked on properties to see what is going on and it simply states 8.5x11_pricelist file and in the "open with" section it states: unknown.
I don't know what could've happened but I'm devistated. I've been working on this file for sometime now. get my file back?
A friend sent me the file with this object that I couldn't figure out what it is.I was wondering a transparency, but there is no "type" in it.Or maybe a lens, but still I could not recreate it.
I was instructed on a video tutorial to be sure to turn off anti-aliasing on this web design/template I am making in Photoshop as they did. But all my text is really bitmapped and on the video it is not bit mapped at all. There is no way to email them to ask so I did some research on my own.
I am on a windows 7 system running Photoshop CS4. My file is an RGB 32 bit, 72dpi 900 x 1000 pixels - pixel aspect ratio is set on square pixels and somewhere I read to turn off the fractional widths in the Character panel which I did but my text is very bitmapped. I don't understand why I would turn off anti-aliasing for such a low resolution file for the web - and why the video tutorial shows their type is absolutely fine.
while working on a new file, which only has our 4 standard textstyles, something happened at some point during the work period where multiple textstyles named "AUDIT_1_12030....." and counting up appeared. over 40 of them.
they are all somehow embedded within the each object in the file, even lines, which confuses me. Noweven if i wanted to just copy most of the project excluding blocks, dims, leaders and text, (which was my original assumption that the textstyles were in there somewhere), I cant. I usually am able to remove unwanted textstyles through the TXTMRG LISP/VBA macro. It has no effect this time.
I created a new mtext leader and it is set to one scale of 1/4" it shows fine in model space and paper space. Then when edit my drawings to try to add hatch or dim. there is a large text that appears in the background.
I am working on a scene in Maya 2011 as a Maya binary and can open the scene up in Maya 2012 as a binary without any problems. But, when I save the file in Maya 2012, I can no longer open it in Maya 2011.
I've read in the forums that I can save it as a Maya ASCII file and have better luck transferring between Maya versions but I cannot get Maya 2011 or 2012 to save the scene as a Maya ASCII file.
I get the following error: // Error: File contains unknown nodes or data. To preserve this information, the current file type cannot be changed.
I've tried "Ignore Version" on when opening and have deleted all all by type/non-deformer history but no luck.
I'm attempting to export out an animation clip and got the above error. A similar post years back and said it was a plugin issue. But nor sure which plugin I might have turned off.
By the way, Steps performed prior to"
Selected mesh and rig (contains IKFK nodes)> Generated character set "walk", ect Then while still selected, Edit>Keys> Baked Simulation Then from the graph editor and the character selected, File> Export Animation Clip....that's when I get the error.
I think I covered the steps correctly. Maybe I'm missing something?
You more experiance animators/riggers might be able to shed some light on this modeler.
I have both 32- and 64-bit versions of Adobe Illustrator CS6 The error occurs only with the 64-bit version,The error occurs only when saving files containing text objects.Unchecking "Create PDF Compatible File" doesn't solve the problem. Resetting Illustrator's settings also doesn't work.
It's pretty much time taking switching between the two versions and I also have files pretty big enough that require opening in the 64 bit version.
I receive that message when I try to open a new document. My others such as Photoshop and In Design are fine as far as I can tell. I'm using CS4 on Windows 7.
I'm trying to export meta-data for a 5 years old MRW file in LR 4 Win x64 residing there since LR 2, but it results in "Could not write metadata. Unknown file I/O error. (1)" error. I have checked the file permissions and it seem to be fine. What else shoudl I check for?
I was working with Illustrator - InDesign as usual. At the moment of linking my AI file into InDesign, I got this message 8 times in an A4 size frame:
"This is an Adobe® Illustrator® file that was saved without PDF content. To place or open this file in other applications, it should be re-saved from Adobe Illustrator with the "Create PDF Compatible File" options turned on. This option is in the Illustrator Native Format Options dialog box, which appears when saving an Adobe Illustrator file using the Save As command."
Weird... I have never seen this before. I resaved the file, and it keeps happening. I see no such option as "Create PDF Compatible File" when saving just an AI file... I am not trying to make a PDF!
I have done the same procedure linking other AI files into this ID file and it is working as usual. Is just this very one. And it doesn't seem particulary different from what I do everyday...
I finally made a PDF from the AI and placed it into InDesign. But everytime I have to update the AI..
I get an unknown graphics processor error when I try to use Oil Paint filter. I have been able to use this feature before and all my devices are up to date.
I'm working on an image to print onto t-shirts for our holiday.
When I upload it into vista print it says there has been a semi-transparent layer detected which may affect the quality of printing (as they are being printed on black t-shirts - they put a layer of white behind to ensure best print quality)
The problem is I can identify what the semi-transparent part is! I've checked all layers and they are set at 100% opacity.

i try to open Adobe Photoshop it gets through the loading screen and then comes up with this error message: "The exception unknown software exception (0xc06d007e) occurred in the application at location 0x7c812aeb" and it closes the program wether i hit "OK" or "CANCEL"
I have tried a number of different photoshop versions including CS2, and 7.0, and i have gotten the same error message every time. I have obviously tried installing and uninstalling. This error does not occur when i run my copy of Adobe Photoshop Premiere Pro 1.5
We have just finished installing a new Photoshop trial and opened the program but for some reason the menues and icons are so zoomed out that we can't see/read them
We have tried changing it in setting with no luck and we can't seem to chance the view into full screen due to the option seemingly being inactive. The program is for my mother and her vision is to poor to read any of it.
On CS6, Windows 7, when I have a transform box around a selected area and place the cursor on an anchor point and hold down the control key down, the anchor can be dragged about without moving any other anchor points... i.e. the box can be changed from a rectangle to whatever.
However, in CS6, the movements snap to something even though I have all snaps turned off. How to stop the unknown snapping?
When I have two or more photos open and I want to move them around, everytime I drag one over the other it becomes transparent. This transparency seems to happen once I drag the photo over the ruler but I could be wrong. Once I release the mouse button the two merge into one photo. I believe this has something to do with the photo merge feature. Can I turn this off?
I just got my new machine the other day , So I take my old hard drive and put it into my new machine ,when I go to open photoshop to work on some stuff, everything has this green tint , what the , oh; and that little box that's on the right side of the layer style window is now green, you know where you add bevels and shadows, the feature button. anyway, a background the was black on my old PC is now #777777, a greenish color.
I have been having a problem with Photoshop crashing. It seems to be (may be) triggered by using the pattern "Pattern Overlay" option in the Layer Style dialog box. When I click on the pattern thumbnail to bring up the full range of loaded patterns.
Photoshop then seems to activate Photoshop Online Help, despite not being prompted to do so.I have two screen shots of the error messages which I am presented with. Unfortunately I seem to be unable to upload them to this message (I am using Chrome). This is another error to flag maybe?
One of the errors says, "Photoshop.exe - Application Error: The exception unknown software exception (0x40000015) occurred in the application at location 0x660561c9."The second error says, "Layer Style - Photoshop Online Help could not be displayed because you are not connected to the internet."

Recently my cursurs have turned to crosshairs. I have deleted my preferences, I have set cursurs to full size brush tip, yet when I use the crop or marquis tool. all I get is the crosshars.
i accidentally pressed some keys and my whole "art board" turned to an annoying bright blue color. It is originally the gray part outside of the painting area.
I cant seem to find anything in the general settings that will change it back to gray. if you know how to change it back,
Now no save for web operation completes due to an error "Could not complete this operation. An unknown operating system error has occured."NOTHING has changed on the system.
