I had purchased a logo almost a year ago, I have been using it over and over again to place onto of my product photos. The file is a png file and it use to show up transparent but now it doesnt and I dont know why?
I was working on a psd-file this morning when suddenly an error message appeared - saying somthing of the text engine. I canceled the error message a few times, then saved the document, closed photoshop and reopend the application. Since that moment, I was not able to open the file anymore, Photoshop just stopped making anything. But I can open every other psd-file, but not this specific one. Always when I try to open the specific file Photoshop stopps doing anything.
I tried a lot of things like deleting the font cache, trying to open the file with an older photoshop version, tried to open it with ID, AI, FW, Gimp etc.
I have a file where there are mostly surfaces and gradings. But once again i ran into a similar problem - i cannot open the file anymore. It just stops loading and then Civil crashes.
Can try to open it and maybe use MAPCLEAN or AUDIT in hope it fixes anything?
Why do these things even keep happening, i do not understand at all.
I type the W (the W is my logo) in Photoshop on a transparent background, give it a orange color and save it as and EPS file (with vector data included).
And the W (EPS) turns up on a white background. I can't seem to overcome this one way or another. All the prof one's are transparent, or not?
I've started a drawing in an empty file with one layer (I have deleted the initial Background layer, then created a New Layer which contains the drawing). How do I save this as tga but with transparent background? ie. so that if I put the saved .tga file over another image, only the drawing shows, without the background around it.
Photoshop generator nice to have features for future roll-out would be: Check box or similar for transparent PSD file to generate the whole canvas area, not just the image area. The ability to generate to a specific folder, including on a networked drive within a shared environment.Ability to generate to no folder at all, place in the same location that the PSD file is located Ability to generate an animated GIF.
In Photoshop you can choose among 3 different contents when opening a NEW file: White, Backgroundcolour or Transparent. Where can I open a transparent new file in paint.net?
(I'm working in CS4) and created a corporate logo for one of my clients. When I place the logo into Photoshop or InDesign, the logo is in a white box. How can I make the background transparent in the original Illustrator file?
Running a imac, 10.84 OS. Downloaded and installed CC suites on June 24. Things seemed fine, but 4 days later, I am getting spinning beach balls all over and then my computer wouldn't repair itself or start up.Out of desparation, I took it to the apple store. I found the hardware was good, they reinstalled a fresh OS and wiped everything clean. I backed up from time machine, everything seemed aok, but no such luck, things are not good with CC products.
Currently, I cannot open Photoshop CC "Could ot initialize photoshop because of a program error" even after removing, cleaning and reinstalling it.
I can get Adobe Acrobat 9.0 Pro to open a pdf file for a second, it then shuts down and tells me "Adobe Acrobat was installed as a part of a suite. To enable Adobe Acrobat, start another componant of this suite (such as photoshop)"-even while Illustrator CC is open and working (the only CC application that hasn't had problems.
I am a web designer and rely heavily on Photoshop 7 which all of a sudden won't open. . . all fonts load fine, plug-ins, etc. but it craps out in the initialization phase. . . . in other words the program disappears. (Win 2000 Pro, Pentium III, double 800 MHz processors, 768 MB Ram.) I multi task between Dreamweaver, Photoshop, word and sometimes fireworks and when things get slow, I reboot. A few days ago I put some new Photoshop 7 complaint plug-ins and tested the machine with each one or small group with no problem. Everything worked fine for a few days. . .
Then once it took a really long time for the program to open and the next day this occurred. I have removed Photoshop, moved the plug-ins and extras to another folder out of the way, rebooted and then reinstalled Photoshop to no avail.
Do I need to remove registry entries and other files? and if so can anyone direct me to instructions so I can get a clean install.
In the meantime I have installed Photoshop on my server machine and am working there and sending images across the network. . . a real drag. Issues like this scare me because short of getting a new computer, I am not sure what to do.
i have photoshop cs and i can select color but the color i select, doesn't draw on the blank canvas. i only have white, gray, black... i know there is a setting somewhere that i dont have turned on but i cant remember,
How to have a totally transparent background, using corel PSPX4?
I have a picture of a logo with a white background. I would like to get rid of the white background so I see nothing but the logo. Background eraser works but after I save, the bmp still has the white background.
I am looking for a solution to publish or plot a dwg file to PDF or DWF with a transparent Background. This would remove the white paper background from the file and allow anything under the file to show through if overlaid such as a raster image.

I have a logo which I would like to use as a transparent .gif file on my wordpress site. I have saved it for web use on Illustrator, but when I uploaded it, there is a white outline on the transparent logo, and it is all pixelated.
I am working on a Mac (Snow Leapord) with Photoshop CS6. When I try to save a sliced and transparent PSD in the Save For Web dialog box with PNG-24, the transparency dissapears once exported. I have the transparency and interlaced boxes both checked. The images appear transparent in the Optimized Save for Web dialog box, but the transparency dissapears once exported out of Photoshop.
I never had a problem with this when I was using CS4...
I need to strip my current image of its background color so that the background color on my website goes thru my image. In other words I need a transparent background for my image.
I have create a new layer that is transparent, but the background color on my website does not go thru it. The background color of this image appears to be grayish not transparent.
where I cannot set the opacity partway transparent when dealing with a png file and another png file as a selection flotation!!! the opacity sliders in the layers tab seem to do nothing but If I go below 50% the layer disappears!!! I can only have it 100% opaque or 100% transparent (which is when the slider is 50% or below) anywhere else 51=99% acts as 100% opaque!!!
I need to get a PNG (or any other image file) with a transparent background off of my layouts. We need them to put some images on our website. I've tried everything...pngout, wmfout, converting, GIMP, inkscape...can't seem to make it work..
I have an old version of the creative suite that is all right for what I do (information for a charitable organisation for medical research) installed in 2008. For quite a while now every once in a while when I start up I get a screen asking me to register. But since I already am registered Adobe just said to click on later and go on working. But this morning the screen is empty so I can't click anywhere. I've tried restarting and even turning off the computer and trying to restart my day.
Since yesterday my photoshop CC 64 bits does not start aymore with an error message like "the internal file signature is incorrect." (it is a translation I use the French version).
My photoshop cc 32 bits works still fine.
I have the version 14.1.1 of Photoshop that has been installed a few days ago automatically by Adobe Updater. Since that day I had not used Photoshop so I guess it is this update that has corrupted something.
I am a new user of photoshop on a fresh new Windows 8 PC and I have not yet installed any additional plugin to it.
Everything was working fine. I've had Photoshop forever. I had to download the software again and reinstall Acrobat to get it to work. Photoshop works fine, however, when I download a photo that someone sends me and try to open, I get an error message.
If I open Photoshop, the image opens just as usual, no problems. When I go to the control panel and try to associate JPG with Photoshop CS 6, I can't. I find it, I try, but I still get the same choices and none of them are Photoshop. I've clicked browse. I've found Photoshop.exe. I've clicked "open" and nothing happens. It doesn't go into the recommended programs.
TIFF is fine. PSD works. It's only JPG.What should I do?
Why won't photoshop let me edit my photos I am a photographer and my photos need more editing but photoshop will open the tools but nothing happens with any of the tools!
I did was put a levels adjustment, and a little patch layer abover the BG, but the BG wont accept any changes, cloning etc. i'm lost --any help appreciated.
the patch is just a small piece of the bg, so the rest of the bg should accept work.
I've tried selecting all different layers, and all eyeballs are on.
