why I can't open a video in Photoshop CS3? It's an MOV file, filmed with a digital camera. I try to do file>import>video frame to layers, and I get an error that says I need Quick time 7.1.
Can't find anything on-line that explains it properly.
way of opening images in CS2 where after opening they will appear in the middle of the CS screen rather then in the top left corner?
I can drag and maximize so they appear in the middle, but on reopening another image they default to the top left again, I would like them to always open in the middle?
I own Photoshop CS3 and would like to know which product could be used to acheive the following:
1. Inputs --- 4 2D images (in GIF, JPG, PNG or TIFF format) that have all 4 sides.
2. Output --- 3D model using the 4 side views and create an video animation that can be used in standard format video files.
If this requires multiple steps and products, would like to know the same. It would be nice to understand which step or product can achieve which part so that I could replace that with other products if needed.
I loaded an MP4 into Photoshop CS4 and edited some frames. (I'm on a Mac OSX)
Now I need to save the video file. I tried to save the video file as an MP4 and AVI leaving default settings alone. However no matter how I saved the video it looks all pixalated, or save as a much smaller video size and still all pixelated. How do I save an exact copy of my video with the edits I made?
I get an error message in PS CC whn I try to open videos that I can't do so in my version of windows. Why since I am able to open the same videos in PS CS6.
I've been trying to import video as layer but it's not working. I have windows 7.
When I tried with my MPEG of AVI videos, there's just a white screen where the video should appear and they don't work in quicktime.
When I looked up how to fix this it told me I should convert the video so that it's an MP4 that works in quicktime. So I did this but when I try to import, there's no option for MP4 format. This is the only option on the scroll down menu.
My friend got Photoshop CS6 extended so he could do a few things with his photos, he also wanted to try out some of the stuff with the video editing, and since it's the extended version, it should (at least in theory) import video, right? Wrong, no matter what format he converts to he gets an error telling him he's using the right kind of document. I have seen the photoshop video editor, my friend has seen the video editor, but we can't get it on his copy of photoshop because he can't get a video to import no matter what format he converts to. Is there a way to fix this or has the promise of video editing in the extended version of photoshop just been a lie?
FORMATS TRIED:
.3gp .3g2 .avi .asf .DV .mkv .mpg (mpeg1 and mpeg2) .mp4 .mov .mts .m2ts .ts webM format .wmv
NONE OF THESE FORMATS WORK FOR VIDEO EDITING IN PHOTOSHOP CS6 EXTENDED. He can use it for photo but he really wants to try the video editor since he doesn't like movie maker and he can't afford any other video editing software right now.
I am new to Video on Photoshop CC but use it loads for photos, anyway, I have made a video in Timeline of Photoshop which is made up of various scenes all of which have adjustment layers etc. The whole video is 335mb and 5 min long.
I am now in process of rendering it and so far has taken 3 hours and is only half way through. I am saving as a video for YouTube in their 720HD format.
I need to open videos to edit for my Photoshop class, but everytime I try it says "could not complete your request because the video file could not be opened.
I am trying to open [URL]...
I need to update my video card... How do I do that?

I can't seem to import videos to Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended, all the videos I have on my computer have a wmv format. Every time I launch PSCS5, these are my steps:
file>import>video frames to layers,
but when I click on the folder that I put my videos in, no videos show up in that folder. I have the last version of QuickTime Installed on my pc. I'm using windows vista and my pc is HP.
I was looking at a video editing tutorial for CS6 yesterday and I wanted to try it myself, but when I opened the timeline I noticed that my version of the timeline and the one in the video were completely different. At first I thought that it was just because I had to upgrade to CS6 Extended to get the full video editing experience, but when I searched around I saw nothing that would suggest that that would be the case.
Multiple people said that the regular CS6 version included the same video editing capabilities as the extended version, and the comparison chart on the Adobe website indicated the same thing. Do I really need to upgrade to the Extended version to get that feature?
I've downloaded the trial of Photoshop CS6, and imported image sequences and video files. But whenever I use a filter or make another edit, it only affects the frame currently being displayed. Is there any way to apply a change to all frames of the sequence or video at once?
I have a series of movies which I intended to individually import into PhotoShop CS6 Extended, add end credits, and then export WITHOUT SOUND. For the life of me, I can't see any way to remove the audio from the movies! I'm sure this feature was easily available in the PS CS6 beta version.
how to make gifs from videos with photoshop. Today I've decided to use HD files to make better quality gifs and it worked fine. I made about 3 gifs. Then photoshop stopped working. It just won't open the animation. As soon as I add the file and select the bit of video I need, it shuts down. It's only a problem with HD files (from a dvd rip). It doesn't happen with smaller files.
I have Premier Elements and Photoshop Elements. The videos in Pemier Elements play ok and when I click on them Windows Media Player plays them ok, but the Organizer in Photoshop says I don't have the right decompression software to display them.
Just upgraded PSE & PE v11 to v12 now mp4 videos do not show thumbnails in Elements Organizer, vido does play but no sound . Video with sound does play in output projects. Same mp4's on same PC work fine in PSE & PE v11? Have upgraded to latest version of Quicktime.
I own Adobe Premiere ELements 11 and Adobe Photosho Elements 11, Nikon D90 for stills and Canon HD 53x for digital video. When I create a show and burn a DVD and play it on the TV the stills are so fuzzy it hurts my eyes to lool at them. The video segments are crystal clear and sharp. Once in awhile the still photos come out clear.
I am running the elements 9 I have downloaded my pictures and video from my Canon camera the pictures I can view but the videos will not play or cannot be viewed , an error states the compression or a non compatability. What I have to add or download to allow me to view , edit and share my pictures and videos.
The videos play fine in VLC 2.0.1, windows media player, GSpot 2.70a (in thumbnail window). An ancient Nero showtime even sort of plays the video (choppy and partially mangled), but the audio is fine. VLC and WMP play smoothly at full screen, 2560x1600.
In PS, there is no audio. Both microphone icons have sound waves emanating and I have tried all 4 combinations of mute and play.
I can edit and save them to h.264, high quality, 1920x1080, 59.94 fps, progressive *.mp4 file. The video plays on the other players, but again there is no sound.
When playing in PS, the video is choppy. It will play for ~1/2 second and then stutter. Searching for a suitable group with key words (photoshop cs6 avchd video no sound)yields 505 groups. Looks like any group to have ever had cs6 in a thread.
It can't be a codec problem if every other video product I have plays the files. It is certainly not a hardware limitation. It looks like a PS bug.
I had to factory restore my computer and reinstalled CS6 and now when I use Photoshop to import videos only half the frame of the video shows up. The top half is completely missing.
I tried uninstalling PS and reinstalling it again but I'm still having this error. It's always worked before, now I'm not sure what to do.
Just upgraded to Photoshop and Premiere Elements 12. Decided to use Elements Organizer for the first time starting with a completely new Catalog.
I selected a subset of my photos to just check it out -- a folder with 3 subfolders. I am certain there are zero duplicates in my Windows file structure. After "Get Photos and Videos" "From Files and Folders..." the import occured quickly but all 3 subfolders were duplicated under "My Folders". Photos were also duplicated.
It's not too bad that My Folder shows dupes but the images are considered 100% different between. For example, if I tag 1 photo, the same one in the duplicate folder still needs tagged. I should not need to run a duplicate image search either when the source folder contains no duplicates. This is really disconcerting as I have nearly 20K photos (I scanned every photo my mom and dad took from the past 30 years). Cleanup of false dupes in something that large is just rediculous.
Is this a bug? May-be an intentional function of the program?
Only photo's and not video's download from my Sony camera into Adobe Photoshop Elements 12. Why? And how do I download video's from my camera into Adobe Photoshop Elements !2.
How do I access my photos? I am locked out of Elements and Photoshop and cannot access my photos or videos! Only two (2) photos were transferred to this new revel?
I cannot get the Adobe TV videos to play--even the ones in my library--all I get is a black screen--I have been ay from Adobe TV for several months--what has changed and how can I view the videos?
