View 2 RepliesI am trying to bring back the sky in these photos without altering the bride in the foreground, or anything other objects, aside from the sky. Admittedly I didn't expose for the sky and the stop difference between the foreground and background is quite drastic. There are three pictures. First to show what the overall picture is and what we're dealing with (I've already "locally adjusted" the majority of the sky with method 2 below). Second picture is to show you a sample of the artifacts and fringing. The third picture shows a sample of the halo situation.

I have tried two things:

1) Gradient Filter - As most of you are already saying in your head, it is not appropiate in this scenario as it messes too much with the foreground (the bride intersects over some of the sky, so it would be neccessary to to drag it down over her), to the point where the drop in exposure is too intense to bring her back. So that doesn't work.

2) Local Adjustment Brush - Tried everything with this thing, from auto mask on and off for both the painting and erasing afterwords, different feathering, no feathering, different brush sizes, etc. Nothing I have tried leaves me with a satisfactory final product, that is to say, no ringing artifacts, fringing or halos around the boarder of the bride where she meets with the sky. I am completely lost with what I should do! There is very little information available in other forum posts, and most of the information available is basic at best with suggestions like: "Turn on/off the auto-mask". This is becoming a growing irritation as I have this photograph and another one where I screwed up on my exposure and just burried the sky.
Is anyone able to successfully view emails from exported CSS/HTML from using "Save for Web & Devices..."
Apparently Outlook will only read certain CSS tags instead of HTML.
In which case I now export my files using CSS under CS3 and now in CS4. Everytime I view an email it comes up garbled. Pictures all over the place.
I have a photo which I believe was scanned in Microsoft Office Documrnt Imaging. It was saved in tif format (at least what that program called tif format). While the photos are supposed to be in tif format, I can't open them in Photoshop.
View 10 Replies View Relatedfor a client I made a logo in Photoshop. For her letters she uses Word en wants to use to logo there. But if the logo is imported in Word, using insert from file from the menu the logo gets a bit blurry, sort of anti-alias kind of blur.

I tried PNG and JPEG, with 72 dpi, 150 dpi and even 96 dpi. It used the sizes we need in word so no rescaling is done. When exporting from Word to PDF does not work.

The settings for compressing are set to "keep current resolution".

I downloaded the Photoshop CS6 trial verion yesterday and it worked great for afew hours, but I closed it and now every time I try and open it there's an error message "Adobe Photoshop CS6 hs encountered a problem and needs to close" what could have cause this and how do I fix it? View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been importing Microsoft Word text just using the clipboard. That is, I'll open Microsoft Word, open my document, select all, copy, and then go to InDesign and paste. InDesign gives me a text block with my text and I just re-size the columns. The text comes in all weird and I have to stylize it, of course. Sometimes I get some junk like nonbreaking characters and other hidden characters which screw me up until I figure out what's going on. My question is: what's the best way to import Microsoft Word text that will introduce the fewest errors?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI cannot get my Epson Perfection 3200 Photo to scan even using its own Epson Scan program. I always used Photoshop 7 to scan and import the images easily. Then we moved to a new house, and when I went to reconnect everything, Microsoft doesn't recognize the Epson scanner no matter what I do. Epson technicians were not able to help. I believe that it's a Microsoft acquisition problem. It says "Could not open the TWAIN source". Should I just remove everything that has to do with Epson, even the plug-in in Photoshop, then recalibrate my monitor and reload Epson after that?

Does Adobe is supporting the new pressure sensitive pen from microsoft, or if there is some sort of setting that I am missing? I have tried sketchbook pro 2011, and that works amazingly well with the pen.Â
 When I start up the 64bit version of Photoshop CS6 I get the R6034 error. After about 20 times to delete the error message 64bit CS5 starts. This does not happen with the 32 bit version. How do I fix this?

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy old microsoft mouse died and i replaced it with a new 3500. For some reason, i cant get it to pan when i use the wheel button. it zooms fine with the wheel... just wont pan. I tried changing the wheel function in Control Panel... unfortunately Pan isn't an option for "program specific" functions. The ACAD help section lists pan as the only function with the wheel button.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have two identical computers (dell 745's) running windows 7 and Autocad 2012 (64bit). on one machine opening a drawing which has is a linked OLE document everything displays properly. On the other machine the same drawing is opened and only the top 1/4 or so of the OLE document is displayed in the area allocated to the OLE.
This drawing also displays correctly on a HP laptop running win 7 and autcad2012.
I have dumped the variables from all three machines using setvar and copy and pasting and can see nothing that is different between the machines.
I've used this method a lot in the past using acad2008/win xp pro and did run into a file occasionally the would mess with the OLE but it's been limited to one file once in a while. Now since I've upgraded this one machine refuses to handle any OLE's. I like the editing commands in word better the the limited commands in AutoCAD tables or Exel for that matter.
What variable or settings affect ole's?

I've just installed Corel Draw X3 and I'm trying to run a plug-in to control my plotter. The plug-in is not in corel draw where it should be. I think the plug-in is supposed to run through visual basic. If I mouse down to visual basic in corel draw I get an error message that says "Microsoft Visual Basic errors occurred during load. So I'm thinking the problem is with the visual basic program, but it was installed in the corel draw disc. I'm running Windows 7 if that makes any difference.

The jpeg, png and other SaveAs give me the IDW background color which actually differs from white.
how to export pictures without this background color or just any other way to do it in better way.
I've got an issue with Adobe CS3 illustrator not displaying the full UI when used via Microsoft Remote Applications (RDS Windows Server 2008 R2). When connect to the server via a normal RDP interface the connection UI is displayed correctly. The Other Adobe CS3 MC application work fine in either connection method.

I have logged a call with MS and we have tried a varierty of RDS Fixes however we do seem pointing to a illustrator issue over a RDS issue.
We are using AutoCAD Civil 3D Land Desktop Companion 2009 on all machines and one of our machines is getting the message "Error opening Point Database" and then gives the project file pathcogopoints.mdb.
It also gives the message "The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot open the file. Â It is already opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view its data." Â It is not opened by another user and permissions have been given for all machines to access these files.
Background information: Â We move older projects to an external hard drive for archiving and occasionally need to access them as the need arises. Â We have done this successfully for some time without issue, but now one of our machines is giving the above error. Â The other machine, which the external hard drive is connected, does not have this problem. Â We tried moving one project file back to the original location and it seemed to work okay, but another file did not. Â Some files were created using an older vrsion of AutoCAD, but that has not been a problem with opening them in the past. Â All sharing permissions to the external hard drive have been checked and seem to be working properly.
Is there a fast, acurate way to convert a Bill Of Materials done in autocad text (I could convert it to mtext if I have to) onto a word document?
I am able to do it line by line with ddedit /copy but what a hassel.
When I click "Edit Original" with a jpeg selected in the links panel it opens Microsoft Paint! In Windows (7) the file association is Windows Picture Viewer (NOT Paint!) and in Bridge it is associated with Photoshop CC. In InDesign we have the option of choosing which program to edit linked files with. In Illustrator we are stuck with the astounding Paint! Why?? 17 versions and this still bugs me!
