View 1 Replies View RelatedFor one of the students first projects I would want them to make a solar system. Of course there would be spheres representing planets with pivot points in the center of the system (the sun) and some would revolve slower and some faster around the sun. Now I was able to create the planets and set the pivot points in the center (the sun) and have them rotate but I'm trying to take this a step further. I really want to create moons that would circle the planets.
That's where my problems starts. I have a planet that I want a moon to revolve around. I was able to change the moons pivot point to the center of the planet but the pivot point remains there while the planet circles the sun. What I need to do is have the moons pivot point locked onto the planet that way if the planet moves, then the moon moves along with it. In this case, the moon will be rotating around the planet as the planet rotates around the sun.

However, the stars i used to rate the images appear in the upper left corner of the jpg. Why did this happen and how can I get rid of the visible stars?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to recreate a bunch of IV-Studio settings to match a bunch of renders made by previous staff that did not leave behind the assembly files they used to make them in the first place.
I've ran into a problem with some parts displaying incorrectly. (they display incorrectly in the render/in the studio environment/ in the assembly/ and when in the part file) I've played with material and appearance styles but they have no effect, I've also tried quality/performance/compatibility hardware modes.
We have 5 or 6 parts that share the ridge pattern that is causing problems and they are affected in the same way.I'm running XP(32), IV2012-sp2, fx1800 with 6.14.0012.6570 drivers.
I am trying to make business cards in Adobe Illustrator using the Pantone Color System. In my logo, the middle circle is a dark grey: C20 Y20 M20 K80. I can't find a suitable Pantone grey that is this dark. Pantone 425U is too light. Also, which Pantone Black is the darkest?

They usually do that with diamonds, glasses etc..
It has been quite a while since I have posted. And in that period, my Photoshop skills have improved greatly. I am still learning a few new techniques and I just started working on brushing. There is a certain technique that I see quite often and would love to learn how to do. I'll post a few examples so you guys can see the effect that I am leaning towards.

View 9 Replies View RelatedThe problem certainly has been discussed all over the place, but I've yet to find an answer in all of my research. And the problem hasn't been limited to only CS6 (earliest reported cases involve CS2), but that's what I'm in now...
Given:
Win7 Pro SP1 64-bit
8 GB RAM
CS6 Extended 64-bit
Issue:
Print screen image 01 captured (using the PrtScn key on the keyboard) to Windows' clipboard pastes into Photoshop document. Print screen image 02 captured to Windows' clipboard does not paste into Photoshop document, but instead image 01. Delete unwanted layer and capture image 02 again, and this time Photoshop pastes in image 02. Curiously, the problem is not remedied by Photoshop's menu Edit, Purge, Clipboard.
This problem does not occur in other applications like in Paint for example - only in Photoshop.

Easy enough, just make a new layer, fill it black, add a Levels adjustment layer, tweak the black and white sliders, and voila, stars....
