Everytime I open up a file in Photoshop, it says, 'Linotype Fontexplorer version fc4 or newer cannot be found'. I recently deleted that program, how can I get Photoshop to stop looking for it?
View 3 RepliesI need to know the name of the UI font for Photoshop CS2. Upon startup I keep receiving the "UI font not found" error. I have over 1000 ttf and ps fonts and occasionally disable some of them; to keep that piece of Windows XP stuff working corectly. Must have disabled the font. Don't really want to enable all the fonts. The system would crash.
View 4 Replies View RelatedStrangely, every time I click "save" in CS6 it opens up a 'Save As' window, (which shouldn't happen), then I click save witht the existing file name (it then tells me the doc already exists), I click OK, (and then OK to the next popup window) then get the message that "This file cannot be found". I'm forced to click "ok" and the doument isn't saved. I've tried saving it differently in previous versions and it still doesn't work. I recorded a video of this behavior. You can see it here - [URL]
Why would it be trying to find a file? It seems like an error message when trying to Open a doc, not Save a doc. I can't shutdown my station until I get the document to save.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI created a Dynamic Block that works perfectly, however when I try to add it to my tool pallet, I get an error message that reads "Block XXX is not found in source drawing. If the source drawing is currently open in the editor please save your drawing."
I'm not in the block editor, and I've saved it multiple times before I tried doing this. I've even closed AutoCAD and reopened it and I'm still getting the same results. I've been able to add many other blocks to my tool pallet, but it just will not accept this one.
Followed suggestions to restart computer in Safe Boot mode. Still get this error message when try to install Lightroom. Photoshop installed fine.

I wanted to try adobe's Lightroom and downloaded and installed the trial version. I have decided not to purchase at this time and attempted to uninstall the product. I beleive it is crashing my computer as it is the only new program i have installed in literally years. This is the error message I am receiving.

I've started getting this random errror message today when doing random commands, such as switching from model space to my layouts and vice versa, or the undo command, "unrecognized version and cannot be read" and then it gives me the Ok/Cancel option. I hit OK, then says "is not recognized syntax, select OK to ignore or Cancel to abort" And I hit ok, and the command is carried out, but slowly.
I've looked this error up and it seems to have been around since 2000. It looks like it has something to do with print files and scripts, but we haven't added or changed any in years. Although I have been having printer issues. Yesterday this started and it's still happening - when I press the print button, no matter what printer is set to, it would take 2 minutes to see the dialog box, 2 minutes for just a preview, then 2 minutes or more to start printing. It doesn't sound like a long time, but it adds up! And it's still doing that on CAD alone... printing is quick in other programs.
I'm on AutoCAD 2013, Windows 7, 64 bit OS.
When upgrading to a newer version of PS (ps7 -> pscs), would i need to transfer all my saved files (projects, brushes, styles, actions, etc...) manually (drag and drop method), or would the installation/setup process do everything for me?
I'm afraid that if i do decide to upgrade to CS and need to transfer all my files, i might unknowingly miss an essential folder and lose it forever when uninstalling the older version.
(or does the setup/installation take care of getting rid of the older version, too?)
i have files generated with photoshop 2.0 running on Mac OS 6.0.4. How can I use these files with a more recent version of Photoshop?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI keep getting the error message "For the Photoshop UI to display correctly, open System Preferences, click Appearance, and turn off text smoothing for font sizes 8 and smaller." I go into preferences and into general but there is no setting to turn off text smoothing for a specific font. I'm in osx mavericks and all it says is "use lsd font smoothing when available" and when I uncheck it, the error message in photoshop still pops up.

What I have is a nice production drawing, that has NEVER even been opened in C3D2013. I JUST finished adding labels for some new pipes and structures that are in an Xref. I saved the drawing and closed it to work on a different project while plotting. In SSM, I select the sheets to Publish, the first 4 plot without issue, then I get a CER without a Fatal Error...I can still work on the nbow current drawing...it appears that SSM crashed while loading the aforementioned sheet I had been working on.I close everything down, restart C3D2012, open the same drawing I had just labeled, says it needs to be recovered, so I let it finish loading (I've found that stopping the load will almost always cause C3D to hang indefinitely), close that drawing, then run recover, finds 2 errors, allow to fix, am greeted with the message box "This drawing has been saved by a newer version of C3D. All C3D commands are disabled in this drawing."
Wait a dang minute, SSM crashes and somehow (the save time is still the same as when i manually saved it in 2012) saves it as a C3D2013 file...even though it is still opening as a 2010dwg format file? Opening the file in Notepad even shows it was last saved in 2012.
I use illustrator CS version 11, is there a way to open illustrator files saved and created in a newer version of illustrator?

When I import them and the PDF objects are re-interpreted I get an error message that, during "An unknown imaging construct was encountered." The resulting images have gradients that are extremely bandedb - though I do not know if this is atributable to the error.
The client insists that he is a highly-experienced Illustrator guru, his files are perfect and he will not change them in any way. He has also delcared that it is quite impossible (for him) to convert his artwork to TIFF files. I am able to do this with the files he has provided quite easily, and do not understand what his issue(s) might be.
Assuming that I am the weak link in the chain, what can I do to improve the quality of his images with the software - CS5 - I have?
Running inventor 2010, Installed 2012 to get myself acquainted with the program before totally making the switch, In an assembly everytime I constrain something, or move it it gives me this error. Also I cannot bring this assembly into a drawing because of unresolved issues, yet i have fixed all resolved issues. I would like to get the ribbon platform down before I uninstall inventor 2010...any possibilities

As decals generally never change after they are created, they are never desired to be checked out. After saying no to check out, the window then reappears stating that the local is never than the vault, even though you just finished a Get operation. Is there anyway to keep these files from needed constant updating?

I would like to publish many of our commonly used custom parts for our engineers to search on without having to buy a seat of Inventor for each of them. View 4 Replies View RelatedBack in the day, there was an application that showed the drawing version # in the icon in windows explorer. That was good for then, because of the lack of object data in many of the vertices. The link I have isn't valid anymore and it didn't work in Win7.
What I'd like to have is something that will show the different Acad versions related to the icon using the product ID, for example:
ACAD-5xxx = 2007
ACAD-6xxx = 2008
ACAD-7xxx = 2009
ACAD-8xxx = 2010
ACAD-9xxx = 2011
then in 2012 they changed to Axxx
2013 = Bxxx (???) I dont' have 2013 loaded
2014 = Dxxx (what happened to Cxxx?)
With the lack of backward compatibility between versions for objects (and I totally get that), it would be nice to be able to tell by an icon which version was used to create the drawing. I know the version information is stored in the header, which can be read, I'm just not a programmer.
I have more photos ending up lost. Most I've done nothing t,o or moved since importing. I've tried the directions outlined in "help" but get the message "file not found" or "folder not found". All missing photos can be seen on my screen but I can't do anything with them. how to recover and have access to them?

Photo's stored on external hard disk (K:)
The RAW captures of a Nikon 3100 I recently won were not being recognized/imported by LR 2.7 and I installed the 3.5 version to see if it was any better. I would have to buy it anyway by the time I switch to Win7. In 3.5 the Raw files were imported, the settings of 2.7 were nicely taken over but now and I cannot export the files I have worked on to the K: drive of the external hard drive as I used to do with 2.7.
I get the message 'The folder could not be found' though it is set in the Export Window and I am looking at it in Win Explorer.
The original RAW captures are on the D: drive but that was always the case with 2.7 as well... I am doing it exactly as I used to with 2.7.
I tried with a photo from an older folder of my usual camera and everything works fine there.The problem seems to be only with the Nikon files. Now I start wondering if there is something with raw format of this Nikon camera that is putting LR in a twist...
during a PDF export I get a message that a Bitmap could not be found.

When I open Bitsream Navigator it shows that the fonts are installed and in use. I have also checked and made sure that the fronts are installed on the computer itself.
