Photoshop :: Keyboard Errors In CS5 / Ctrl Key Sticking And Failing To Work

I'm using PS CS5 extended on two different systems and having the same problem. My right control key is often getting stuck on - even though the key is not physically stuck. Occasionally it also just seems to stop working, as does the right alt key. It only affects Photoshop, and I can fix it by quitting and restarting. This happens on a Vista 64 system and my Windows 7 laptop. They have two different keyboards, obviously, and I think two different drivers. I use custom keyboard shortcuts for a few things, but reverting to default did not seem to work that I could tell.

At the moment when I use our company tool palette and select a block when I insert it if I hit the CTRL key on my keyboard the insertion point jumps between all the points in my block be it stretch points, base points or basic points.
If I create my own palette and add my blocks to it, the CTRL function doesn't work when I select a block.

my keyboard short cut for ctrl+ a doesn't work, for some reason. All the other keyboard shortcuts work, except for that one (At least i think so..). I read through numerous threads about why keyboard short cuts do not work. 1. they are cracked copies of photoshop, 2. they are using logitech keyboards.
But I'm not using a cracked copy, and I just upgraded my logitech drivers to the newest ones.. and the problem just started yesterday without any reason. But when I change my short cut from ctrl a to.. something else, say alt+ctrl+a. it works.. but I prefer the old ctrl A.

I just upgraded to PSE 11 and can't get CTRL + 0 (zero) to work. My OS is Windows Vista. I have friends who are using Windows 7 and it works for them. I use CTRL + 0 all the time and need it to work with PSE 11.

I'm using CTRL+V and CTRL+C (the only combos I use, and I use them all the time). They don't work now. None of the combos with CTRL do. I went to the customize keyboard menu and those combos are all nicely set up. I re-set them up, reassigning the same combos to the same functions. I got out of AutoCAD and back in. I regenerated the drawing. Nothing. I did notice that those functions, which are used in many programs, DO work in MS Word and Outlook. What did I do now?

as the place I work at recently upgraded their PS version to CS6 and basically rendered my Intuos 4 completely useless because of the damn Alt/Ctrl modifier, which seems to control the "drag to create a copy of the layer function" regardless of the tool you're using.
It might be specific for my region, but Alt+Ctrl or Alt Gr modifer is used in order to reach certain keystokes, such as ], [, @, so when by default the brush size function on my wacom is linked to a "[" (alt+ctrl+f windows function), my tablet completely flips out and starts sending a mix of Alt, Ctrl and Alt + Ctrl function controls instead of the [ which I'm trying to use.
Alt + w/e functions work just fine, but I can't use any modifer using the alt+ctrl+w/e combo that involves creating a symbol, even while using the keyboard. For example, I can use the alt+ctrl+z command to undo something, but if I linked my brush tool to a "§", which is invoked by calling the alt+ctrl+m windows command, it will act as a normal ctrl + m command and open the curves window.

This is my first post as I've been having a problem with my new Copy of CS2. I previously used PhotoShop 5 which had particular shortcuts which I have been using for years now but since purchasing CS2 I cannot use these shortcuts? I notice that some of the shortcuts/hot keys don't work. For example, one basic hot key that does not work is the F7-key. The F7-key opens and closes the layers palette.
Another hot key that does not work is the spacebar. My teacher taught me to hold the spacebar down when you want to move the canvas around. When I am in handtool mode I hold the spacebar down, I then apply pressure on my laptops touchpad, I then slide my finger across my laptops touchpad in order to try and move the canvas, but the canvas does not budge.
Some shortcuts work. For example, tapping the F-key multiple times will expand and reduce the size of Photoshop.
Closing my web browser did not resolve the problem. Updating the software did not resolve the problem.

I'm having trouble with 2 problems in Photoshop CS. My first problem is that my keyboard shortcuts don't work, at all. They are turned on, but still do not work. Ive even tried setting my own, and those wont work either. Can anyone tell me how to fix that? Secondly, my brushes don't work. I have to set the brush to be over 100 just to see like a 5 pt line show up on the canvas. Ive tried everything!!!

My tool keyboard shortcuts work for switching from one tool to another, but not for toggling between that catagory of tool (for intstance: using "L" for toggling between lasso, polygonal lasso and magnetic lasson). how to fix this? (I use a Mac OSX, if that's relevant.)

I've noticed a strange bug with photoshop when working with a pen and tablet. I'm using the CC version on the latest Mac OS
While working on an illustration I'll frequently use keyboard shortcuts. command+z, i, r, z, option, etc. Someties after making a stroke with the brush tool, I'll go to undo with command+option+z and nothing will happen. Other keyboard shortcuts do the same thing—no response.

I recently requested assistance to find French accent keyboard shortcuts. This I received, but I can't seem to get these shortcuts to work using the Type Tool on a document in CS6. Is there a particular setting that I need?
I am working with a PC. I have even tried using a built in font to ensure the problem was not that the font of choice not having the accents I was looking for.

I am using AutoCAD 2013 and, out of nowhere, my keyboard aliases don’t work. Ex: When I type m for MOVE, I get MADD. When I type co for COPY, I get COLOR. If I turn off ‘Auto Append’, and try it, I get ‘UNKNOWN COMMAND’. I’m at a loss as to what to do. (I checked to see if I lost the acad.pgp file, but it’s still there.) how to get them back.

I am working for customer with a simple item with his iLogic design. He has created a simple form to modify his iProperties. To modify the current material, a multi-value parameter was created and the following rule as a local rule;
"MultiValue.List("MATLIST") = iProperties.Materials
iProperties.Material = MATLIST"
He is now trying to make this an external rule but gets the following error
Error in rule: Mat2, in document: Mat2.iLogicVb
iProperties.Material: is probably a bad material name.

If I do a command such as regen, or switch between tabs/modelspace, generally anything that seems to involve a screen update, then immediately following that if I try something like a Shift-Tab type of operation, there is no response from autocad until I move the mouse. This is consistent if hardware accelertion is turned on or off, so I can't go blaming the video drivers just yet.

I want to put a particular hex code in an object. When I paste the hex code in the color picker of my object it changes to the color I want. After I choose another object and then go back to the particular object with my hex code its a different hex code but the colors look similar.

I have a layered file, the color space assigned to it is sRGB. I save a png file via Save For Web, tick the option to convert export to sRGB. All looks good in the save for web 2-up preview. But when I open the new png file, it's color profile is set to Adobe RGB, and the color space looks off—not like it did in the SFW preview.
Details: My default color space is Adobe RGB. Sync'd across all CS5 apps. I have the option ticked to warn me on profile mismatches when opening a file. So far so good.
So it seems like my Working Space color (Adobe RGB) is overriding SFW settings as well as my document color space settings

I am having issues with the Material editor in 3ds max design 2011. I am creating a solar system as a school project. My planets follow a circle spline. I put textures on the planets in material editor to resemble the planet texture. My problem is, the texture is not sticking to the planet. The sphere itself follows the circle spline and makes 1 complete rotation around the circle spline in 87 frames and the sphere spins 2 complete times showing all sides of the sphere as it follows the spline. However, when i render it, I see the same side of the texture on the sphere on every frame.
Apon opening the zip File, look for the planet called Mercury. While toying with the timeline, you will notice that the planet follows the spline around the sun, as well as spins on its Z axis. But in the render, the planet does not move on its Z axis. It follows the spline, but does not spin like it does while in the design stage.solarsystem2.zip

It's not remembering my Customize User Interface->Colors->Grids: Set by Intensity value.

I had to manually add the following line to MaxStartUI.clrx just above the very last line:
<GridInfo gridIntensity="56" whiteOrigin="0" useGridColor="0" />
First it was adding that line but with different (random?) values for gridIntensity, then it wasn't adding that line at all, even when I explicitly saved the settings after I altered them.
Something is wrong, I don't know how a professional company can let things like this happen.
My icons go bad sometimes too, some of them get greyed out and look disabled even though they aren't. It's lame.
