I just upgraded to PSE 11 and can't get CTRL + 0 (zero) to work. My OS is Windows Vista. I have friends who are using Windows 7 and it works for them. I use CTRL + 0 all the time and need it to work with PSE 11.
In my Photoshop Elements 9 and Photoshop Elements 11, The shortcut key Ctrl+L for Level does not work. I press it, the Level does not show up. How may I fix it?
my keyboard short cut for ctrl+ a doesn't work, for some reason. All the other keyboard shortcuts work, except for that one (At least i think so..). I read through numerous threads about why keyboard short cuts do not work. 1. they are cracked copies of photoshop, 2. they are using logitech keyboards.
But I'm not using a cracked copy, and I just upgraded my logitech drivers to the newest ones.. and the problem just started yesterday without any reason. But when I change my short cut from ctrl a to.. something else, say alt+ctrl+a. it works.. but I prefer the old ctrl A.
I am helping my intern with a project. I use CS2, but he has CS3. for some reason, I cannot get ctrl+click (to select all pixels in that layer) to work on his CS3...
I'm using PS CS5 extended on two different systems and having the same problem. My right control key is often getting stuck on - even though the key is not physically stuck. Occasionally it also just seems to stop working, as does the right alt key. It only affects Photoshop, and I can fix it by quitting and restarting. This happens on a Vista 64 system and my Windows 7 laptop. They have two different keyboards, obviously, and I think two different drivers. I use custom keyboard shortcuts for a few things, but reverting to default did not seem to work that I could tell.
my keyboard acting up until I got the laptop and started having the problem there too.
I'm using CTRL+V and CTRL+C (the only combos I use, and I use them all the time). They don't work now. None of the combos with CTRL do. I went to the customize keyboard menu and those combos are all nicely set up. I re-set them up, reassigning the same combos to the same functions. I got out of AutoCAD and back in. I regenerated the drawing. Nothing. I did notice that those functions, which are used in many programs, DO work in MS Word and Outlook. What did I do now?
as the place I work at recently upgraded their PS version to CS6 and basically rendered my Intuos 4 completely useless because of the damn Alt/Ctrl modifier, which seems to control the "drag to create a copy of the layer function" regardless of the tool you're using.
It might be specific for my region, but Alt+Ctrl or Alt Gr modifer is used in order to reach certain keystokes, such as ], [, @, so when by default the brush size function on my wacom is linked to a "[" (alt+ctrl+f windows function), my tablet completely flips out and starts sending a mix of Alt, Ctrl and Alt + Ctrl function controls instead of the [ which I'm trying to use.
Alt + w/e functions work just fine, but I can't use any modifer using the alt+ctrl+w/e combo that involves creating a symbol, even while using the keyboard. For example, I can use the alt+ctrl+z command to undo something, but if I linked my brush tool to a "§", which is invoked by calling the alt+ctrl+m windows command, it will act as a normal ctrl + m command and open the curves window.
I don't know what happened when i opened my autocad it looks like the image below Untitled.jpg
also if i will right click on the drawing space, nothing happens, but below or in the command window, i can, also for example i drew a line, and i want to redo, the "CTRL" function using ctrl+Z is disabled, what happened with this one?
When I try to launch PE 11 when the net is down an activating component comes up and it will not let me add media or do any thing to my project. It says that I need to go to the adobe site and paste in the code. This was done with the software was installed and works fine when the net is up and running, but when the net is down it acts as if these step was never done.
Using photoshop, I found this shortcut really helpful, especially when I just started learning layer masks. Then all of a sudden it stops working! I can't do this action anymore unless I go to EditStep Backward.
I recently updated my Notebook from Vista to Windows 8. Now I do have to install al programms again, but concerning PSE 6, there is a catastrophically failure with the licencing subsystem AMT. How I can use this programme again under Windows 8?
I want to purchase Photoshop Elements 11 for my mom for Christmas. She primarily works from an iPad. So, I'm wondering whether it is possible to use a mac version of Photoshop Elements 11 from an iPad?
I have recently upgraded to Elements 11, but Camera raw does not seem to work. Have downloaded DNG 7.2 but that doesn't seem to make any difference. Would like to process NEF files from my Nikon D300
After a system recovery on my HP, the Photoshop Elements 6 program will not reinstall. All other programs are up and running. The install from the disk appears to be successful, but I don't get the window to enter the serial number. When I click on the icon, nothing happens. Uninstall and reinstall results in same situation. I have Windows Vista 2007. Adobe gave it a case #184059543, but will not support it due to it being an "old" program.
I am currently trialling PSE 11. I would prefer to keep iPhoto as my organiser while using PSE 11 as my editor. However, it appears that I have to create a separate PSE library meaning that the edits made in PSE will not be reflected in the iPhoto library.
Other than manually importing and exporting photos between the libraries is there a way round this?
I've used PSE 10 for some time, but only backup about twice a year (full backups to both external drive and dvds stored offsite). It won't let me backup to my K drive (external), doesn't even start before stating that it has encountered an error writing the file. The external drive works fine; just backed up using Windows BU. I've repaired, optimized, and reconnected files to no avail.
Is there a to access the Alt key screen functions (the quick Eyedrop, (holding Alt and click the color) and the Zoom in and Zoom out (holding alt alt and scrolling with the mouse wheel) with other key instead of alt, for instance the Ctrl key?
It is really annoying to me to deal with it, because in my shortcut configuration I use the keys "Q" and "W" to increace and decrease the size of the brush and the keys "A" and "S" to increase and decrease the hardness of the brush. What happens is that when I hold Alt to pick a color or to zoom, it calls the menu bar's shortcuts (it underlines the menu shortcuts) , so If I do so and press "S" it calls the Select menu, which is not what I'm trying to do.
In Gimp, the pick a color and zoom in and zoom out actions are configured to work with the Ctrl key instead of Alt, so the shortcut menus are not an issue. Is there anyway to switch it to Ctrl? Is there anyway to make the Alt stop calling the menu bar?
The issue I'm having is that, while using [URL] (ArtBee's 3D Box PSD), I cannot save the smart layer.
[URL]
Basically, as per the documentation instructions I'm supposed to press "Ctrl +F10" to render the 2 smart layers onto the projected box. Problem is, when I do it, nothing happens.
I've done it on CS6 with no problems, it's only after switching to CC that I cannot save.
While working in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc. performing ctrl+V launches PhotoShop. Repeatedly. This is in no way desirable. How do I disable the ctrl+v/PhotoShop relationship when not using PhotoShop?
In previous versions of PS I could just move the crop area around freely, rotating and resizing it. But now it seems it always snaps to is default position and I need to keep the CTRL-key pressed if I want to move it around without snapping.
When i press Ctrl+D in ps6 to change my background and foreground
to black and white it does the white part right but it gives a combination 75+45+35+100 to give black and each time i have to change manually to get black .
I was trying to make a selection using the magnetic lasso tool and every time I get about half way done my screen goes blank. I can hit enter and return to the original screen but then ive lost my selection. I have used other tools to make a selection and have not had problems, only with the magnetic lasso tool does this happen.
I installed the other day Photoshop CS2.After a while working with it i wanted to select a layer but s the Ctrl+click command didn't do nothing. Anybody knows if there is another shortcut to do this?
I have been running CS4 for about five months. There have been problems - speed, stability - but here is a new one. Out of the blue, selecting the Hue-Saturation panel eithe rthrough the menu or by keystroke brings up the eyedropper - functioning - but essentially crashes Photoshop. It goes on running - you get 'blind' menues - but it is impossible to switch the eydropper off and you consequently have to close CS4 from Windows. I have rebooted, it still happens.
