I recently requested assistance to find French accent keyboard shortcuts. This I received, but I can't seem to get these shortcuts to work using the Type Tool on a document in CS6. Is there a particular setting that I need?
I am working with a PC. I have even tried using a built in font to ensure the problem was not that the font of choice not having the accents I was looking for.
My tool keyboard shortcuts work for switching from one tool to another, but not for toggling between that catagory of tool (for intstance: using "L" for toggling between lasso, polygonal lasso and magnetic lasson). how to fix this? (I use a Mac OSX, if that's relevant.)
View 4 Replies View RelatedIf I use the create new layers panel and click on the make a square with the dashed lines to then fill it in with black or color and the deselect the shape with cntrl+D it will render a perfect polygon, but what if I use the pen tool to draw curves and connect the first anchor point with the last anchor point
How I know there might be a way to turn that shape into a type that I can also select it and fill with color but not asking to make or stroke path. I try to fill in shape with color through the menu task bar on top of the canvas window pane.
This is my first post as I've been having a problem with my new Copy of CS2. I previously used PhotoShop 5 which had particular shortcuts which I have been using for years now but since purchasing CS2 I cannot use these shortcuts? View 8 Replies View RelatedI notice that some of the shortcuts/hot keys don't work. For example, one basic hot key that does not work is the F7-key. The F7-key opens and closes the layers palette.
Another hot key that does not work is the spacebar. My teacher taught me to hold the spacebar down when you want to move the canvas around. When I am in handtool mode I hold the spacebar down, I then apply pressure on my laptops touchpad, I then slide my finger across my laptops touchpad in order to try and move the canvas, but the canvas does not budge.
Some shortcuts work. For example, tapping the F-key multiple times will expand and reduce the size of Photoshop.
Closing my web browser did not resolve the problem. Updating the software did not resolve the problem.

Ive even tried setting my own, and those wont work either. Can anyone tell me how to fix that? Secondly, my brushes don't work. While working on an illustration I'll frequently use keyboard shortcuts. command+z, i, r, z, option, etc. Someties after making a stroke with the brush tool, I'll go to undo with command+option+z and nothing will happen. Other keyboard shortcuts do the same thing—no response.
I'm using win8 with photoshop cs5. Using english & hebrew languages. When using hebrew the keyboard shortcuts (exe: T for type, Ctrl+C, etc) doesnt work. everytime i need to change back to EN to use the keyboard. where can be the problem?

Is it possible to scroll through the individual tools in the tool bar using keyboard shortcuts.
I know how to scroll through the subtools using hte shift key but not sure if it is possible to scroll through the entore tool bar.
If I do a command such as regen, or switch between tabs/modelspace, generally anything that seems to involve a screen update, then immediately following that if I try something like a Shift-Tab type of operation, there is no response from autocad until I move the mouse. This is consistent if hardware accelertion is turned on or off, so I can't go blaming the video drivers just yet.

I've used Photoshop 7 for around a year now, using it mainly to touch up digital photos. I've just upgraded to Photoshop CS, but I've found that I'm having difficulties with my keyboard.
Usually, to zoom in, I can press CTRL + +. However, when I do this, nothing happens. Also, when I make a mistake with the magnetic lasso tool, I can usually press my Delete key to undo the last fixed point. Again, this doesn't work. All that is on on my keyboard is "Number Lock", which just allows me to use the right hand number keypad. Even with this off, the problems still aren't solved.
What is the keyboard shortcut again from the type tool to the move tool?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using Illustrator CS5 Blob Brush Tool with a Wacom Cintiq tablet. I would like to be able to vary brush size by assigning a keyboard shortcut to the express keys or touch strip of the tablet. The only keyboard short-cut I can find is Shift+B. which just takes me to the Blob Brush Tool window. Is there a way to vary brush size on the fly by using up/down arrows, etc.?

In the french Keyboard it is Alt+shift+( ( Left parenthesese is on the 5 key ). When I type Alt+shift+[ on After It happen nothing??
If I swith to american language Alt+[ it works fine.
I can't insert certain symbols with the text tool. When I type "&" it inserts a "/" and when I type "/" it inserts a "-". I know for a fact it's not my keyboard because it works in any other text editor or text field. Is this just some new weird setting in photoshop cs6?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have been using PSE9 for a couple of years successfully. I use the horizontal type tool in Edit to put details on my photographs. Today the function has stopped; I have de-installed and re-installed my original programme but the same result - nothing. I can select the horizontal type tool and set the cursor; but nothing appears as I type. A layer does appear and when it is clicked you can see the text that I have typed but it simply doesn't get onto the photograph any more.

I will click on it, create a box or double click to have the horizontal blinking text line show up. When it shows up this time it is a dot and does not show type on screen. So for example I would be sitting here typing this message, but you would not be able to read it as it does not show up on screen.

cmd-l : lock selected layer or group
cmd-alt-l: unlock selected layer or group
cmd-alt-c: copy layer style
cmd-alt-v: paste layer style
Copy layer style is listed in the keyboard shortcuts dialog. For some reason it wants to raster shape layers so that's totally unusable.
Keyboard shortcuts will work for a little while, then suddenly stop. I can still select tools 'manually', clicking the icons, but pressing P for the paint brush tool or E for the eraser will have no effect. So far as I can tell this happens at random. It has also been fixing itself at random, after some undetermined amount of time not working, but then it just happens again.
'Use shift key for tool switch' is already unchecked in my preferences.

I've got like 580 gigs of free disk space, and 8 GB of RAM...
I was madly working along, and suddenly, no keyboard shortcuts worked. I wrestled with this for quite some time. Then I realized that I had two layers selected, instead of one. When I selected only one layer, all my keyboard shortcuts returned and began to operate as normal.
I'm just wondering whether this is a feature to protect the user from unwittingly altering more than one layer at a time, or whether it's a bug?
I have just started using my Photoshop CS6 (64-bit).
I am trying to use Ctrl++ and Ctrl+- to zoom in and out respectively, but nothing happens.
Is there something that I should be doing before starting to use the keyboard shortcuts?
PS: my OS is Win7 Ultimate 64-bit
