Photoshop :: Is Imageready Able To Create Links "on An Angle"?

Dec 26, 2003

I want to place a photo on a webpage (PSing the whole page I'd guess is the best way to do this), at an angle. I've tried to take the pic to Imageready and create a hotspot, but it seems you can only do "straight" slices?

I really would prefer NOT having a big square or rectangle around the graphic, is there a way to do this, in Imageready?

Illustrator :: Can Create Links Within A Document?

May 22, 2013

I'm putting together some design specs and I want to create a clickable table of contents that will navigate to a different section of the document. IE. artboard #27

From what I've seen thus far it looks like I can add links but only to websites and they are only clickable in PDF mode.

Is it possible at the very least to make my clickable TOC when converting my document to a PDF? and, is it possible to make it clickable even if it is in .ai format?

AutoCAD Map 3D :: Can't Create Polygons - Some Links Could Be Lost

Jan 25, 2013

There are two polygon topologies in the dwg attached. The 'Parcels' topology is a source while the 'RoW'  topology represents an overlay topology. Both are reported correct and complete, nevertheless an intersection overlay operation

does not show the expected result. Instead, a rather painful error message comes up: Can't create polygons. Some links could be lost. Frankly, I have never known any of the messages before...

Ironically, this sample is a part of a greater drawing and the rest of the topologies work just fine.

InDesign :: Does Printing Pages With Ai Links Take Longer Than PSD Links?

Apr 15, 2014

I'm reconstructing an old document originally developed with PageMaker.  I've recreated a half dozen pages hopefully with more uniform techniques.  The original line art for the pages was created in AutoCad and some were scans.  To bring them into InDesign some of the art is now in psd format and some of the newer art is in Illustrator AI format.

I've noticed that the pages with photoshop art print pretty quickly (about 30 seconds).  The ones with Illustrator art take much longer (about 1:30 seconds). They go through a flattening process.

I print these 50 page books on demand and that additional time would add about an hour.

I guess the question is whether this is normal and to be expected or not.  If it is I'll likely turn everything into raster before going into InDesign.  That, however, seems like quite a bit of extra work.  Going from AutoCad to Illustrator (to add stroke) then to PhotoShop to change to raster and then into InDesign seems like a pretty convoluted work flow.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Best Way To Create A Workplane At Angle On Tube Surface?

Aug 1, 2013

What is the best way to create a workplane at a given angle on the surface of the tube. Imagine the workplane long and thin running along the surface of the tube. The angle will be a parameter (from a sketch or user).

I'd like the workplane to always be on the surface of the tube, even when the diameter of the tube (from a dimension in a sketch) changes.I'm thinking that a (angled) line in the same sketch as the two circles (which define the tube diameter and thickness) would be a good starting point.

When I jump to IR and preview my work in IE or firefox, or view in the optimized view, it moves my images. It looks the way it should in normal view, but in the show optimized view things are moved. Why does it move the images? It seems in PS7 IR and PS worked more harmoniously. What has changed?
