View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen opening an image in Photoshop CS6, in order to make the best use of the available screen area for viewing my photos, I have to either press the 'Fit Screen' option, at the top, or double-click the Hand Tool. Why doesn't the image fully fit in the available screen area automatically, when first opening? Is there a reason for images to open by default with empty space surrounding it, or is it an oversight by Adobe, in how the application works?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just switched from PS CS5 to CC. Under CS5, the default for opening multiple images put them in separate windows. Under CC, the default appears to be to put them in separate tabs and one must select separate windows from the Window Arrange sub menu. How can I restore the CS5 default. I prefer to always open multiple images in separate windows.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have changed all the settings on my computer and in PSP X5 to make it the default program that opens any picture/graphic file except files with the psp and pspimage extension because they aren't even an option. When I try to do it, it reverts back to X4. When I try to make the changes within the program itself, those 2 file extensions aren't even in the list!
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I import JPG images from my digital camera Gimp assumes that they are 72 x 72 DPI. Is there a way to set this default to be 600 x 600 without manually adjusting it each time using "scale image"?
I use Gimp to print the images.
Gimp 2.6.11 on Salix Linux.
How do I set LR 2.7 as the default program for downloading images? My control panel tells me that the default program is LR 2.0 and it does not list 2.7 as an alternative.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am new to the PrintShop ProX4 family. I just purchased my first PSPX4 software, even though I have been using AfterShot for quite sometime. My question is, how do I prevent PSPX4 from being my default program for viewing images and or pictures attached to my emails.
Prior to purchasing and installing PrintShop ProX4, all my pictures attached to my emails would open up under my Windows photo gallery. But now, they open up under my PrintShop Pro X4 program and since I am still learning the PSPX4, I would like to convert back to the Windows photo gallery.
I have a few thousand images that I created using Corel version 12 and X-5
I have been using X-5 for about the past six months or so and when I have to open a hundred images and they open to 60% each time.
Is there a way to select all the image in a folder and have them open to 100% everytime?
Just wondering if I could change the openning settings in a batch.
I have AutoCad Lt 09 and have just installed Windows 7. Upon installing my AutoCad Lt, my customized toolbars all have clouds with question marks. In the CUI window, the Line button image is nonexistent, in the All Commands menu images don't exist for many of the commands, and many of the untouched menu buttons in default toolbars also have clouds with question marks.Â

View 9 Replies View RelatedI scanned a photo into PS and then tried to work with it but find my cursor changes to a round circle with a line through it. I can't use any tools on it but I can bring up another photo and everything is normal with that photo.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a situation where the default behavior of my rectangle tool (or any of the other shape tools) is now different. I'm on Mac OS X 10.6.5 running Illustrator CS5. It acts as though the option-shift keys are pressed, so whenever I draw an object, it draws from the center point and the dimensions are constrained, so i can only draw a square or circle, not a rectangle or ellipse. Additionally, whenever I use the selection tool, it clones the object I drag, and also constrains the positioning, so i can only drag in a 0, 45 or 90 degree angle (or multiples thereof). It's as if my option-shift keys are permanently pressed (if I actually press option-shift, the behavior persists). I tried using a different (brand new) keyboard, tried throwing away preferences, and the problem remains. I also tried booting up Illustrator CS4, and the weird problem showed up there! This behavior just started happening spontaneously. I couldn't think of anything weird that happened (a crash, a new plug-in, etc.). I can't find a preference that sets this behavior either.
View 6 Replies View RelatedAfter changing preferences, plug in views, etc I get a message the file is locked and changes won't be saved. Even after unlocking, adding myself as user with read/write privileges, changes are not saved when PS is closed.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI am creating an image in Photoshop CS6. I've saved it a few times but now it's telling me the file is locked. I resaved it as something else and now the original file has vanished!
Â
I looked at the properties of the file before it vanished and clicked the security tab and it told me I didn't have permission to view it and I had to be an administrative user, which I am. It gave the option of giving myself permission and said the previous owner may no longer have permission but there was no previous owner listed (obviously because there never was one).
Â
These files are very important, I can't risk them just vanishing or locking me out. Why is this happening and how can I stop it?
I've recently switched from 6 to 7. When I open an image the layer is locked and I can't unlock it (greyed out). This prevents me from adding the drop shadows I need to add. Any answers out there, please?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using Photoshop CS2 and whenever I open a .jpg , .gif or use my scanner and scan something into PS the layer always starts out locked.
Is there a way to change this so it is not locked everytime?
I try to open my Photoshop 7.0 I get two error messages. I don't understand why I am getting these messages, or how to fix them. The error messages appear at startup during the initializing of the Photoshop 7.0, these messages state:
Error Message 1: Can not find workspace folder.
Error Message 2: Could not initialize Photoshop because the file is locked. Use the Properties command in Windows Explorer to unlock the file.
There is no Properties command under Windows Explorer, there is one under Photoshop 7.0, but nowhere does it say "unlock file". I have seen a similar problem for the CS2 in the FAQ section, so I tried to use that fix, but it did not work. I have uninstalled & reinstalled, cleared cache, de-fragged, and unhidden the files ...
a client has asked me to alter a graphic, it's a gif file and when I open it shows as one layer. It shows as partia;y locked. clicking thepadlock icon
does not unlock it
Is there a way to unlock it?
I was sent a jpg image via email, made a correction and put it on our network for another colleague to open. When she tried to open it, the following message below came up and I can’t rectify the problem and open it on my colleague’s machine.

View 6 Replies View RelatedAdobe production premium? I have this for windows. what if i wanted it for mac? If i wanted it on both windows and mac i'm guessing that would mean buying it again fully as another license? Or could it be used as the "secondary install" of the application? (I would keep this PC too). Either way, is it possible to get the program as another download using the same serial code, but one for PC (which i have), and one for mac?So i'd have one serial code but with two installers, one pc, one mac, basically.
View 39 Replies View RelatedI have a file that someone created and one of the layers says that it is 'Partially Locked'.
I never had delt with this before and was wondering how I go about unlocking it.
Double Clicking it, like I do with locked layers, only brought up the layer style property box.
