I haveElements 9 and CC on the same computer. When I click to open images from Bridge, 9 is shown as the Default and CC is not shown. How do I eliminate Elements 9 as the Default?
View 1 RepliesWe are teaching 3 young 8 year olds Dreamweaver CS6 and Photoshop CS6 (recent installations). We are going fine with Dreamweaver but then we needed to learn how to manipulate images. In particular make new logos for the site and create images for uplaoding from the camera.
We are new to photoshop CS6 but wouldn't expect the issues we are getting right now.
We can't open jpegs completely. We get a transparent background or just a part image. Must be something we are doing wrong I guess. It looks fine in Bridge but really isn't loading well in Photoshop.

By the way this is a site [URL]....which we are using dreamweaver for. We have made a members login page which appears to be working but as you can see unfortunately we badly need to create a logo and make some images for their site which isn't created yet. If I can keep them from games and from Minecraft then we will make progress
It needs to be ready soon so that I can get a domain for them and host it on my Dad's servers.
Recently, Bridge has stopped opening pictures in Photoshop CS6. Each time I try the screen signals that Photoshop has to close down. However, I can open the pictures in ACR 7.4, but again, those images will not open in Photoshop. If I use the Mini Bridge in Photoshop, everything works fine, It seems there is a problem in the link from Bridge CS6 to Photoshop CS6.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter opening Bridge CS6 (and using mini Bridge), there are no thumbnails showing. I've pointed Bridge to just one folder with less than 5 photos in it and it cannot even display them. I'm running a recent Mac Pro with 16GB RAM and kick graphics card.

After an external backup drive had its partition deleted we used recovery software to get as many files back as possible. It sorted the files by types but gave them all numbers for names. Using bridge to preview the illustrator files, most show a thumbnail, some just a small illustrator icon. When I try to open the files, some open no problems.
Some of the files are collections of vector art (multiple clipart in one file). In the preview that Bridge shows, the file is complete and all art is there. When I try to open some of these files, I get error messages like:
"Can't open the illustration. The illustration contains an illegal operand.
##.####.##
%##.####.####.###.....etc."
And when I click "OK" the file is either missing some of the artwork or it is completely blank. How does the preview show the complete file and when opened it's either missing elements or blank?
I have just switched from PS CS5 to CC. Under CS5, the default for opening multiple images put them in separate windows. Under CC, the default appears to be to put them in separate tabs and one must select separate windows from the Window Arrange sub menu. How can I restore the CS5 default. I prefer to always open multiple images in separate windows.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have changed all the settings on my computer and in PSP X5 to make it the default program that opens any picture/graphic file except files with the psp and pspimage extension because they aren't even an option. When I try to do it, it reverts back to X4. When I try to make the changes within the program itself, those 2 file extensions aren't even in the list!

View 3 Replies View RelatedJust installed acr7.3 and cs6. I have previously saved jpgs but wanted to play with POSSIBLE settings in the new ACR. Ok so I make some changes and only say DONE.. I do not open and resave. Going back to Bridge.. the preview now shows me the 'new' acr tweaked version and that jpg will NOT open in CS6 again without going through bridge to apply the tweaks I made.
Problem is, the jpg itself is still saved the OLD way and I want that version back. How do I get the bridge to show the saved jpg that I have, once I play with it in acr??
In CS6 Bridge it shows an image that has been first time imported and put thru raw and photoshop. that the process version is 6.7. Should that not read 7.1. Images taken on canon EOS 450D
View 14 Replies View RelatedI want to create 3 versions of the same RAW file in order to vary the exposure and then use Photomerge Exposure to blend the images. I can open the first version and then go to Open Recent and open the same RAW file again. I then reset the default and make a different adjustment and open that image in Elements. a number "2" is automatically added to the filename. When I do another Open Recent and process that version, that image opens in Elements with a number "3" added to the filename.

But before I got too happy, I then noticed (and this is why I'm writing), that the red labels I created in Bridge are not there only the yellow ones.

Before I installed CS6, I removed CS6 Beta and my copy of CS5 using tools provided by Adobe. When I run Bridge, I notice that for each of the Open With apps shown, they are listed twice.
When I choose a JPEG or raw photo it opens with no problem, but when I open a PNG, I have to choose open with since my Mac will open it in PREVIEW. When I choose open with PS, it loads and opens a second Photoshop even though I have it open already.
Using CS3. Bridge has error message "Adobe Bridge has encounted a problem. Needs to close" It never opened. No problem in the past. Using WIndows XP Pro on a Dell.

View 18 Replies View RelatedI've been retreiving picture files from CD's and saving them to my computer through Adobe Bridge in CS3. When I put the CD in the CD drive, I would get a dialog box asking "Open With" and listing all the different programs that are in the computer like Adobe CS3, Adobe Bridge, Windows Media Player, etc. I highlight "Adobe Bridge" then "OK", and then click on that drive in my folders list and the pics open up in Bridge. My problem is that I (stupidly?) checked the box at the bottom of the dialog box that says something like "Always open with this program". Now when I load in the CD, that dialog box doesn't come up and the pic files don't come up in Bridge, even after going to that drive in my folders menu and clicking it..
