Feb 14, 2012I have encountered a bit of an issue. i have used my CS4 photoshop for years now on my original administrator account which is the account I installed it on but now when i try to open it I get the splash screen and it starts to load and then where it should fully open it just goes away?? I can log in to any other account on my computer and it opens just fine. have to sign out go to another user account edit then log out and then back in to my normal admin account

Mar 7, 2013Loaded Photoshop Elements 9 on a computer that is not on the internet and works fine as long as the user logging into the computer has admin privileges but a user who does not have admin priviledges gets an Error:6 that says to uninstall and reinstall the product. Uninstalling and reinstalling the product has no effect. I believe this to be that the normal user doesn't have permissions to a file somewhere that it needs to write to but can't seem to locate that file as I have given write permissions to Adobe under Programs & Common Files but no success.

I have created my add-in using VS 2010 SP1.0.
Now, if I try to launch Inventor(w/o Run As Admin i.e just double click) 2014 SP1.0, in Windows 8, my add-in works fine.
If I launch Inventor with Run As Admin, My add-in stops receiving call backs from Inventor.

Lightroom :: Open With / Open As - Links To Photoshop 5.1 Grayed Out
Dec 28, 2011I am working with the latest versions of Photoshop, Lightroom & ACR. A couple of weeks ago I noticed that the links to Photoshop from Lightroom were all grayed out. for example when I right click on an image and select "Open With," it and all of the rest of the links to Photoshop are grayed out and inaccessable. I have been using Photoshop since v2 ansd Lightroom since v1. My operating system in Win 7.
Uninstall and reinstall Photoshop to reestablish the links. I spent about two hours doing that yesterday. when I was done the links were back and functional. I left the compluter on all night to make sure everything was backed up. This morning I opened Lightroom (64bit) and attempted to open an image in Photoshop for editing. All of the links were grayed out again.
So today I uninstalled and reinstalled Lightroom.

I use command SSautoopen, set to 1 but doesn't alway work. Sometimes if I close AutoCad and reopen it I can got to drop down menu and click on .dst extension and it will open but if I close out of it it won't open again unless I restart AutoCAD. Jan 25, 2013About a month and a half ago, after a microsoft update, I cannot open .cdr files from the file/open list. When going to file/open, the programs hangs up, cannot even use "cancel", and have to go to Windows Task Manager to shut down the program. All is well until I try to open a file from file/open.
I can import .eps, and everything else seems fine.My work around is to open from My Documents --Which works fine. Just is a silly little aggravation.
I have uninstalled, reinstalled, repaired, etc....all the normal fixes.

Jun 7, 2012I recently installed a student version of Maya 2012 on my home computer so I didn’t have to work from college for a project, but I have run into some issues.
Not sure what is going on with my Maya but it won't open files unless I actually go to it in the browser and double click on the file. Even once I have done that I can only save over it, save as doesn't work. I also can't create or set projects. There are probably more problems but these are the ones I noticed/really need.
This is what appears in my output window:

GIMP :: (too Many Open Files) Error When Saving Or Open
May 6, 2013I'm using Gimp 2.8.4 on a MacBook Pro.
I have been working on an image file for several hours now, and as a result, there were MANY files open (probably over 30).
I attempted to save the file, and recieved the following error message:
"Could not read the contents of [folder name] Too many open files"
I then closed each of the open files except the file I was trying to save, but got the same results.
The same error message pops up when I try to open a file as well.
