I think I right clicked on the tab and did not realize what I was doing until I saw them in the upper right of the screen.
How can I get them back in the toolbar that I had before... the standard one.
I just cant find the styles and effects pallete in CS2! I need to use the 'thin outline' tool that is inthere.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've noticed that my color pallete seems to give a wierd blue-green tint to everything that isn't solid white or solid black. I know that if I deselect the proof colors option that the image I'm working on acquires the tint. Which is another thing, all of the sudden Photoshop has decided that it doesn't want to keep the color proofing on all the time. What's odd about all this is it's just started happening today and I don't believe I've done anything to cause it. 'Elp, I'm being oppressed by Photoshop!

import colored clipart convert to CMYK if needed select entire graphic and create new styles with 2 parents change (edit) the colored parent to a named Pantone spot color (the child colors automatically become percentages of the Pantone spot color) "find and change" the remaining CMYK to Grayscale, and then back to CMYK (this ignors the spot color and converts the annoying rich blacks to percentages of K) export to a PDF file--which when imported into, say, InDesign, will separate on the K and Spot Color Plates only, in all its glorious shades of gray and tints of Pantone spot color.
I'm completely at a loss on how to do this in X6, and I'm on a short deadline.
I've question. On my CS4 the layer palette is always closed when I open CS4. Is there some way to set it to stay open? I tried to save a personalised workspace but it does not help.
I hope you know what I mean. It's a real pain since I work with layers a lot and I'm used to having the layer palette open right away. It's useless to have it closed anyway since there is not space to be gained down right where it usually sits.
In older versions of Autocad when you created a viewport and locked it, the frame around the viewport would change color so that you knew if it was locked or unlocked.
Is there a setvar or something that needs to be set so that when you lock a viewport it's frame color will change???

Neither Ctrl+F6 nor selecting from Menu will get Color Styles docker to show up.
Rt Clk a selection offers Color Styles>New from Selection... but when dialog is OKed, no Color Styles docker(?).
It is possible to change a document style color with a VBA macro or why not with iLogic ?.
I regularly imports STEP and the parts have defined colors. Unfortunately for change must clear all colors of surfaces. By cons, if you edit the styles we see that for each color there is a style with the color name.
So basically if I change a color style, all parts using this style will change.
I'm just checking back in to see any updates on how to quickly and easily clear all color styles in a document. I've tried the following:
Os's nifty color styles patch (comes with recentfilesDecBeta macro)
saving as CMX (that bites because it converts underscores to objects and other mean things)
manually (takes too long and sometimes replaces colors in current document then save settings as default (I not like this).
I have not seen this issue happen in quite a while. I saw it on earlier releases pre-2013. But now after the Update2 build it seems my IDW's are not behaving properly.
Scenario:
1. Create model of a raw material (steel) stamped bracket. It receives its own part number
2. Create iam using the unpainted bracket and then assign a color (red) to represent a painted finish. This receives a new part number due to our MFG process.
3. Create iam model using other "painted" sub assembly models (step 2 for instance). New part number.
4. Create IDW but it shows the raw material (step 1) rather than the painted model. It should show the painted

Now that SP2 is out and we can delete all in one sweep, is it possible to create a macro that would automatically delete all color styles as soon as any file is open? I never use that feature and would gladly pay for such a macro.
View 14 Replies View RelatedThe most annoying in the style sheets, view manager since x3 is still existed in the x6 as style sheet sets having unnecessary styles which i have not created besides color styles & view manager as well. Are they not considered anyhow ?
Default style set is ok and Styles is also ok to create our own but Why this nuisance of style sets which are having a lot of dump. Truly view manager is unnecessary docker i think but have lots of zoomed data.

I am using photoshop CS2. on a mac OS X.
When i make changes to other layers in the layers pallete, it changes my 'background' as well. I know that i can duplicate it but regardless, the 'background' changes according to what i do to the other layers even tho it is locked.

I used to be able to select 'NO' in the LIbrary option of the Projects Folder but that optiion no longer exists.
We've created a new parts list style for a border.When the border tempalt file is on the c: drive...everything works hunky dory...parts list, revision tables, etc.But as soon as we copy and paste that border into the template library folder for new drgs...the parts list style is missing from the local styles?
So to make it appear on the new document...the style manager has to be set at all styles and the new parts list style has to be saved to the document?What aren't we doing to make it appear on the template?
Also note that because the drawing border template is in a template folder as part of the design projects...it is NOT editable...so it has to be edited outside the template folder.
Is it possible to change a drawing using named plot styles (.stb) to colourdependent plot styles (.ctb) within the drawing itself? The variable'pstylemode' comes up as read-only.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI am creating an image in Photoshop CS6. I've saved it a few times but now it's telling me the file is locked. I resaved it as something else and now the original file has vanished!
I looked at the properties of the file before it vanished and clicked the security tab and it told me I didn't have permission to view it and I had to be an administrative user, which I am. It gave the option of giving myself permission and said the previous owner may no longer have permission but there was no previous owner listed (obviously because there never was one).
These files are very important, I can't risk them just vanishing or locking me out. Why is this happening and how can I stop it?
I've recently switched from 6 to 7. When I open an image the layer is locked and I can't unlock it (greyed out). This prevents me from adding the drop shadows I need to add. Any answers out there, please?

Not sure that activation caused this, but I cannot edit my images.
