I have missing fonts on several layers so I am using the Layer > Type > Replace all missing fonts method. Is there a way to specify what to replace the missing fonts with? I'm using CS5

I just upgraded to CS6, and just realized that the 'picture package' feature is no longer supported (it was an optional addon in CS5)... I use it constantly to run sports photo packages--it is perfect for the output volume requirements I have. Is there some other feature I havent found yet that can accomplish this?
We are looking at re-painting our house. I have scanned in some of the colors we are thinking about. I have taken some pics of our house and want to introduce the colors we have choosen. There is shade that also has to be dealt with and hence the same color in shade will have to be accepted as well. What is the best method/tool to use for this task ?
In vba it was very convenient to use “END” the exit a sub at any point. I have a lot of code that I am trying to translate to .net . I was hopeful if I could find a “END” substitute so that I do not have to rewrite a lot of code.
With other software in the past, I have been able to set a default substitue font for a specific font not in my system, but I cannot see how to do this in Illustrator.
Another designer uses the same font as me, but his computer has labeled it differently, so every time I open a file in which he has used that font, Illustrator says the font is missing. instead of having to go in and manually change the font every time I open a files he has worked on, I would like to set Illustrator to automatically change the font on opening.
Is there any way to create a rule to create a substitute on my weldment files?
what I need is something like:
If this document file type is weldment then create shrinkwrap substitute, go to the file (substitute) read the custom iproperty "area" and write to this document custom iproperty "area for sand-blasting" activate LOD Master then delete substitute LOD.
The propose is for purchase department to know the area of the assembly (only the area of visible surfaces).
I have linked a DWG-file from Autocad in to 3ds max. I would like to use the substitute modifier so that objects ends up on the right spot even if changes are made in the DWG-file. The problem is that in Autocad there is one block for example for the trees in a pot, but in max there is one pot and one tree. I would like to keep it that way so I am able to change the parameters for my trees.
How can i use the substitute modifier and pick multiple objects? It is not possible with groups, it only uses the one object I pick, even if it is in a group.
So, to make things clearer, I want multiple max-objects linked to one autocad block via the substitute modifier!
Any way to automatically substitute a default plot style table when it is set to ‘None’ in existing drawings?
[URL]
I applied a default plot style table in the ‘Options > Plot and Publish > Plot Style Table Settings’ dialog box, but it doesn’t seem to take effect for existing drawings or when I create new drawings.

My goal is that when I open a drawing where the plot style table is set to ‘None’ it will instead apply my default CTB file.
This photo is framed with a glass facade, which reflects exterior light and obscures a portion of the green matting border. I would like to eliminate the reflections and substitute the green color of the matting.
I tried Nexus font (finally) and don't see why people have mentioned it. I don't like it and uninstalled it quickly.Which font manager do you think is better than Font Nav?
I have some hardware in my parts list drawings that has a substitute for each other. So you can use one of either item in the list. Per the ASME guidelines, those two parts share the same item number in the parts list. So my question is there any way to tell those two parts they are substitute from each other and they come into the parts list sharing that same item number. Right now i'm manually changing that item number in the parts list. But if you try to re-order those parts it's a nightmare cause it's still treating that other item as a seperate entity.
I've a problem with "DWGtoPDF"-Plotter of Acad2013. I give the textstyle "arial" in Acad and plot it to PDF. In the PDF-Sheet i see the Fontname "ArialMT" in the document-options. I want to give the PDF's away and fear, that he gets an error while opening.
After opening a file from another designer, this Chinese font has taken over my "omens – regular" font file. Anytime I use it, it converts to this font and each time I need to change a font weight, I must do it manually. As you can imagine, I use our company font all day so this slows me down quite a bit. Have you heard of this? It seems like some sort of font virus. I've researched removing it, yet can't seem to find the original font file to get rid of, which is even weirder."
We tried moving the font family to the trash, emptying the trash, rebooting the machine, and re-adding the font family and it still is happening.
I had posted in another thread about wanting to clean up a signature and make it look more font like. I tried that and it seemed to be pretty difficult due to the amount of random in a hand written signature.
So I think I'd like to approach this from the other direction. I have a font I like but I don't want it to look like the font (way too common). Is there a way to alter the font (not the entire font set or even to create a new font but just for a one word Logo)?
I'd ideally like to connect two of the letters and also modify the shapes of the letters just a bit.
Is there a way to specify a given system font that should be substituted for a given missing font? For example, the document I'm working with contains CourierStd and CourierStd-Bold which are not installed on my system. I would like to set Illustrator so that any time a document that contains these fonts is opened, Courier New and Courier New Bold are substituted automatically.
An eps file opens without any problem with the preview as .pdf on Mac OS 10.7.5In illustrator when I open the same file, the main font is not recognized and no warning said the font is not available.
I'm wondering if there is a Font Preview plugin available that will do what Illustrator SHOULD HAVE done for many years - which is to actually allow you to toggle through your font list and display the text you entered in the fonts you are clicking through - - kind of like what CorelDraw has had for the last 15 years.
Imagine that... being able to review text in a selected font to facillitate the selection of an appropriate visual reference for logos, etc. Earth-shaking, I know.it seems there would be an Illustrator plugin by now that would do this???
Or do I have to continue to have CorelDraw opened up so that I can review text in various fonts to determine the best choice for a given project font?
I use Photoshop cs5.1 and what to add the fonts. I've found and downloaded them but don't know where to paste them. I can't find the font direcory in photoshop folder.
