Photoshop :: How To Remove Rear Work Plan In CS6
Mar 28, 2012
I try to find how to remove rear work plan in Photoshop CS6 ? I still looking in the "preference" but I don't find the solution. I really prefers to have no background like the CS5 because I always work with "drag & drop" and now, it's impossible to see my desktop.

I have PSE 10. My OS is Windows 7. My printer is a Canon MG6120. The default print tray selected for the computer and all programs is the Cassette. It was selected under Devices and Printers (path: Control PanelHardware and SoundDevices and Printers). All my programs accept the cassette as the default paper source or Tray, except for PSE 10.
In all other programs, I manually change the Paper Source for rear tray selection through the Printer Properties dialogue window. However, the paper source for my PSE 10, after manually changing from Tray: Rear Tray to Tray: Cassette, resets back to Tray: Rear Tray after printing and even after using the Change Settings and Advanced Settings dialogue windows. see the image insert.
I generally print on bond paper. The rear tray is normally closed. If I'm want to print on photo paper, I open the rear tray and insert the photo paper. I verify that I have the printer set to use the rear tray. After printing on photo paper (from any program) I reset the paper source back to cassette.
My questions are, "How do I correct or override PSE 10's automatic resetting of the paper source to the Rear Tray. How do I convince PSE 10 to accept the front-loading cassette as the default paper source?"
PSE10 also insists on reverting to Landscpe orientation. Please see the image insert.
My questions are, "How do I correct or override PSE 10's automatic resetting of the paper Orientation to Landscape. How do I convince PSE 10 to accept Portrait as the default orientation?"

I'm trying to find a way of filtering the 'work in progress' section visibilities from a plan by view filters. The filter I use is 'Sheet Name' equal '<None>'. Then turning off visibility. It works when used in the Browser organisation filters but not in the view filter for the sheets.
I don't want to create a check box or dialogue box for the sheet as this will add to the required maintenance.

Does the Style setting Plan Readability work for General Notes? I've been thinking we should use notes for all our text so that they react the same as all the other Civil 3D labels. But they don't seem to. They scale correctly but stay parallel to the UCS.
I've tried this in a fresh drawing from a simple template and from an OOTB template. They never rotate in a layout. Is this the normal behavior or am I missing a setting? This is how I have it set in my style:
Civil 3D 2012 SP 2.1
Dell Precision T7400, Xeon CPU 3.16 GHz
Win 7 Pro, 64-bit,12 GB RAM, Nvidia Quadro FX 4600

I am working in a project where I need to represent the reflecting ceiling edges in the plan view. I put the first floor plan as underlay, and selected the RCP projection but I don't see the dropped ceiling lines to select them with the linework command. I have done every thing possible with the view range but I don't see the lines.

In Photoshop CS5 some of the functions on 64 bit do not work, but everything seems to work on 32 bit. I have not searched for all the functions that don't work on 64 bit. I just use the 32 bit program, but I would like to know why the 64 bit program doesn't work right. I would like to be able to use it.

I keep running into a situation where I would like to be able to create an edge or a work axis at the intersection of a work plane and the surface of the part. I figured out a work around if the surface is flat, but I haven't figured out a work around for a curved surface.
How do I create work axis where work plane intersects curved surface?
Or put another way: How do I project intersection of work plane and curved surface onto the work plane in a 2D sketch?
I need to be able to draw a 2D sketch on the work plane, but get a perfectly matching projected line onto the work plane, from the curved surface, at the intersection of the curved surface and the work plane.
The attached jpg shows the intersection in question. I circled it.

All of my block updates work just fine when I use them in MEP 12, but we have a couple of drafters working in vanilla AutoCAD & for some reason the same commands/ blocks/ settings (same exact file even) that work in MEP do not work in regular ACAD.
Now they do "work" - the commands/ block insertion - but the annotative adjustment (i.e. 1/4" to 1/8" to etc) do not work until I select the block and add the desired scale to its annotative object scale list - why is this necessary? it isn't in MEP? The blocks work/ act properly annotatively once inserted and adjusted as mentioned above, but again, why? Why? Why is this necessary? All of the scale are in the block file as it resides in my block folder...?

I made the building, and after I had to change the elevation levels, and after I did this, I copyed some furniture from the level 1, to the level 2. Some of the furniture was copyed the right way, but all the chairs from the plan are missing. I tought maybe they've been deletel, but I try put new chairs, and they also don't appear in the second level only. When I went to 3D view, i saw there are there, at the right level where they should be. I dont know why they don't appear in plan. And also I noticed the interior walls are grey, and not white in the plan. Also, when I go to ground floor, and put underlay level 1, I see the chairs there in the underlay, not at level 2. I made this print screen maybe is easyer to understand. [URL]

I have a paper blueprint of a floor plan, where all units are expressed in mm. I need to transfer this to autocad, so I am wondering how to construct the plan in mm? (changing units, etc.)
The scale is in 1:100. Does that matter?

I have two questions about UCS creation/rotation and the AutoCAD PLAN command:
Question 1) I am creating a new UCS, rotating it based on user picks and saving it. The problem is that it saves the new UCS origin location, but it will not save the rotation. The code I am using was pieced together from a couple of different sources (.NET developers guide and code from Tony T from an old thread) How can I make the new UCS "save" the rotation as well?
Question 2) Once I have the new UCS created, I want to esentially use the AutoCAD PLAN command and rotate to the name of the new UCS that was just created. I cannot find ANY info anywhere on the internet on how to replicate the PLAN command using .NET. Here is the code I am using to create, rotate and save the UCS:
Dim acDoc As Document = Autodesk.AutoCAD.ApplicationServices.Application.DocumentManager.MdiActiveDocument Dim acCurDb As Database = acDoc.Database Dim acEd As Editor = acDoc.Editor Dim acEnt As Entity = Nothing Dim Zaxis As Vector3d Using acTrans As Transaction = acCurDb.TransactionManager.StartTransaction()Try ' Check for the exisitence of required blocks.
[code]....

I'm using c3d 2013. I'm setting up plan production dwt's for plan-profile, plan, profile and section.
My question is do I need to have a north arrow visible in my plan viewports layouts inside the dwt? I know when creating viewframes and sheets, the dialog has a pull down to add a north arrow at whatever orientation I choose to cut sheets. I didn't know if it will add the north arrow and rotate it based on the one already in the layout tab or if it pulls the north arrow in separately thus having 2 north arrows. Should I take out the north arrow in the plan layouts inside dwt or not?

Having issues plotting. I have a sheet with 3d piping in plan view, viewport is set to Legacy Hidden as always. I have a 3DCLIP plane set to only see pipe at a certain elevation. When plotted, some of the pipe lines are missing. If I change the viewport display view, then the piping is fine but random objects show up that shouldn't b/c of my 3DCLIP plane.

I've never used AutoCAD before but I'm trying to make a site plan. I attached a picture of the property I'm trying to make a site plan of. Basically, it's a building that 59' by 92' that has a fenced in yard that is roughly a rectangle. I'd like to fit the site plan on regular 8.5"x11" sheet of paper. I know how to draw lines but don't know how to make them the right lengths. It doesn't need to be perfect with angles but I'd like to make it look nice with like a border and titles and such. I've been trying to read up on how to do it but I just get overwhelmed.

Question #1: To my Sections Sheet, I am adding a Key Plan of each floor to show where the sections are cut. I duplicated a plan of each floor and renamed it "Floor # - Key Plan", and added the view to the Sections Sheet at a small scale, and now I am using a 1" = 80'-" scale for these key plans. I am able to hide all the unwanted annotations elements, but I notice that some like the "UP" and "DN" of stairs, which are very large, do not go away without erasing the stairs also.
How can I leave the stairs at this small scale but without the associated annotation?
(I also notice that this happens with elements like Washer (W), the Water Heater (WH), etc).
Question # 2. Related question: Do Revit has a "Key Plan" creation fuction to automate this work?

I have a renovation project that I have entered the building in a existing phase. I used the demolition tool to show work removed on a demo plan. I created a new construction plan and set the phase to "New Construction and the phase filter to "Show previous + new" . The problem is that all work to be demolished appears as existing and new work appears on the demo plan as existing.

I was following a tutorial when he created a structural plan where he'd place his footings. when i tried it on my Revit Architecture 2014, i found out that i didn't have that feature. is there any way i can turn it on?
i'm not sure if he's using revit architecture because he just refers to it as Revit 2014. i made a floor plan below the 0 mark but things will be tidier if i could make structural plan views.

Needed to rotate my plan 180 degrees. So I typed in UCS enter then z enter then 180 enter and then plan enter. My plan rotated and it looked fine. I noticed my crosshairs where now green and red. I needed to add more things to my drawings but the lines I was drawing do not look straight - they look bent and the ucs icon doesnt look square. I attached my drawing for you to see what I am talking about
