Photoshop :: How To Minimize Printing Window
May 24, 2012
I am having troubles with printing my work in Photoshop. The problems is that the printing window is to large for my 10" screen, which means that I cannot see the whole window and the printing button. How can I make it smaller, so I can print?

Photoshop cs5.1. I don't like double click title bar to minimize the window. I don't use it, I don't need it. Isn't there a way to disable it!?
I'm unsing Snow Leopard, but I do have "double-click a windows title bar to minimize" disabled in system preferences > appearance. So photoshop overrides those settings? Maybe I'm missing something?

How do I minimize one picture, in order to view two pictures is the same screen?
More details...In my previous version of PSP, when working on a photo, the tab at the top for the photo had the following options: Minimize ( _ ), Maximize ( [ ] ) and Close ( X ), similar to the options found in the upper right corner of most windows.
However, in X5, the picture window/photo tab only has the Close ( X ) option and no Minimize ( _ ) or Maximize ( X ) option. What am I missing or am I just daft?
I found being able to minimize multiple photos in the same window useful when pasting/cloming one image over another.Or, if I have multiple, yet very similar images, determining which is best without having to tab back and forth.

I have a customize form to use in AutoCAD. If I minimize the form, I can not see it anymore in the AutoCAD application tray. I want to minimize my form and later restore it after editing in .dwg file.
How can I do that?

When I double-click an AI-file to open it, Illustrator resize/minimize it's own window. Sometime so much that Illustrator itself reply with the error: "Can't open the Illustration. There is not enough room for the window; Increase document area and try again."
Â
If I open a file (browse for it) from within Illustrator it works fine and Illustrator keeps whatever windows-size I have chosen.

Each time I open a second or third file in CorelDraw x5, the windows seem to lose the top MIN, Max Close icons. You know the ones that sit at the top right of each window. Because of this I'm unable to close or edit the work. In fact NOTHING works. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit with a TON of memory.

1st Bug:Iam using a HP Z6100PS 60in plotter and when Iam using page setup to print something, it keeps using the default print size... For exemple :
Â
Printer default print size : 24x60
I want to print a 80x60 but Photoshop send a 24x60 to the printer... even if I entered 80x60... And the bug is for any sizes...
Â
2nd bug:My Windows 7 64bits Taskbar is at the top of my screen. All the documents iam opening in Photoshop are snapping to the top of the screen... super annoying. But when I place the Win Taskbar at the bottom of the screen, no more bug...

I have had numerous problems trying to print from 2014 using the setting "Visible portion of current window". Â This feature was never that good, anyway, but now it seems to be WAY worse. Â I'm spending 5-10 minutes to just send something to the printer that should only take 5 seconds.
Â
See the attached images of what I see on screen, the print dialog boxes and then what I actually get. Â The "Center" option doesn't function properly and now I must manually adjust the margins to print what I see on the screen.

I don't really care for "tabs." I'm used to having open files placed randomly within PS.
So I uncheck this feature in preferences. BUT, this means when you hide/minimize PS, the open file remains visible. Is there no way to minimize open files at the same time as PS?

When I first installed Photoshop CS6 Extended on my Mac it had a bar running along the top that had the program name in it (Photoshop) with the red, orange and green, close, minimize and maximize buttons in it.
Â
Somehow I have turned this off and the three buttons no longer show. Below is an example picture of the bar I'm wanting to turn on: I have the application frame turned on and they still do not show.

Have been using Xara products for years and currently on Photo and Graphic Designer V7.
Normally, I have the three windows icons in the top right (minimise, maximise and close) and these normally operate on the whole of the Xara window. (If I minimise, then Xara minimises to the task bar and I see my desktop etc.)
However, today, if I click on minimise, then the drawing (within Xara) minimises, and I'm left with the Xara window but no buttons to minimise, maximise or close the whole window .... it's just there and the only way I can see behind it is to drag the sides in or use FILE / EXIT to close the program.

CorelDraw was working a few weeks ago, but now when I open a menu Bitmap and select anything to edit the picture, like Blur, Camera, Distort, or any of them, I see the adjustment slider screen open, but then it minimizes to a small blue bar that lists the name of the effect and does not allow me to make any adjustments. In fact I can do nothing until I close (x out) the blue bar.
I have done the reset to workspace, downloaded and installed patches, but nothing changes.Â

1. had this problem for sometime. running windows 7. When i minimize my autocad window from maximise to the taskbar, for some reason when i click it on the taskbar to bring it back up, it has shrunk to its restore down size instead of the maximised window it was. This problem seems to only occur on win7. I don't have my windows aero themes off as i know of those problems, whats causing this one?!
2. whats also annoying in windows 7 is that i choose not to have my taskbar buttons combined, i am only in one session of autocad yet each drawing has its own taskbar button, is this normal?!

I have recently downloaded 3ds max for Architectural fly through animations and to create construction sequence animations. I will not be modelling any designs in Max as I already use either sketch up or revit and plan on importing those models in to max. I have looked at a few tutorials here about importing into 3ds max which have been very useful but I would like more info/tips on how to keep model sizes down etc when importing e.g material usage, avoiding importing unnecessary elements especially from revit and how to set up models for quick rendering times when creating building animations. I know your computer specs are a big factor but sadly I cannot afford a high spec machine at the moment and I have to improvise.

I'm always having to move my tool windows around, out of the way, or close them entirely when trying to see and work with my images.
Wouldn't it be great if we could simply minimize one or more of the tool windows to the bottom of the application screen? Then the tools remain INSIDE the current dimensions of the app, and can be restored to normal size with a keystroke or a click. Shouldn't be too hard to implement.

I have just installed my newly purchased PSC5 extended software. When I try to use the ACR it will load and I can use it but when I try to open, save or cancel my image I cannot. This is because the ACR window is too 'long' for my Sony desktop window and the buttons I am trying to access are in the 'shadow' of the desktop window. When I try to resize the ACR window to access the buttons it will let me adjust it on the vertical window edges but not on the horizontal window edges. I have to reboot the laptop to do anything at all.

Been using PSP since X2 and never had any real problems, but I recently purchased and installed x6. It started giving me a problem I couldn't live with so I uninstalled and then reinstalled PSPX6 Ultimate. That didn't fix the problem tho.
My problem: when I click on minimize, maximize or close, nothing happens. Repeated clicks of maximize has more than once even closed the program altogether.
As I mentioned, re-installation did not fix it, although the first time I clicked maximize after re-installation it did work. Then it quit.

I almost always work with multiple drawings in the same Autocad window. Often (maybe 2/3rds of the time?) when I have one drawing maximized inside the Autocad window, the minimize-downsize-close buttons disappear from that drawing's window. The only way to get them back is to cascade the windows.

I have noticed quite a performance hit when coding the same thing in .NEt compared to VBA. I suspect this to be due to out of process calls between .net and Inventor.
Is there any way to bundle many calls and send them as one.
Example: I want to change the parameter value of a constraint and then update the assemblydocument. Can this be bundled into one call to Inventor?
