Basically I have about 15 layers of images that I have to resize so they are all the same dimentions, without loosing quality, but if there are no options, I'm willing to losse quality.

Within the file there are 1836 layers, I am trying to reduce that number greatly. There are also lots and lots of blocks. I have heard that it is possible to make all of the objects on one layer and also compress layers.

The font increases, but the text boxes don't expand to fit the increased size text. So I am having to make each box bigger manually. Is there a way to have the boxes expand to fit bigger text automatically through the layers panel?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using CS6 and noticed that whenever I delete a layer that was a dupe of another layer with links (although not linked specifically to the deleted layer), the undeleted original layers become invisible on the canvas even though they are still visible in the layers pallette. I've been able to recreate this several times. Nothing I do will make the layers visible -I've tried moving them all to the top of the layers palette, making sure their opacity is 100%, making sure there are no layer effects, etc.

My paper size is 24 x 36 but for some reason it rotates the paper and the output is 36 x 36, every time! When I look at it on the preview, it looks correct but then the paper comes out with a foot of paper at the top of the drawing. I've created new page sizes, etc.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to make this one effect on rasterized text. The effect works best on a black background, but the background and text have to be merged or it looks wrong. The thing is, is that I want the effect of the text seperate so that it's got a transparent background. What I was wondering is if there was some way to make 2 layers act as if they are 1, without them being merged.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWith CS6 i loved the addition to combine vector layers into 1 new vector layer but when i do this in PS CC and then try to enlarge it it only enlarges the first shape.
Example:
I create 3 squares, vector shapes, i cmd+E the layers to combine them, and then i want to enlarge the new shape..what happens is, only 1 square becomes larger..
I'm looking for a way to resize all the layers in my document to a specific size. I'd like to resize every layer to be exactly 6 inches in height (while keeping proportions constrained). I can manually transform every layer to do this but I haven't found a way to do this automatically to all layers, I've tried to do it as an action but it's recording it as a percentage and not a fixed height, so it doesn't work on the other layers that aren't the exact same size.

It doesn't grey when I open a video file. I'm tried using JPEG and GIF files as the layers, but am unsure what I'm to do at this point.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm making ID badges. I have made a template for the artwork and then added each photo individually to a box sized area. The images are already cropped to squares, but I had to resize each one to fit in the box. Then I have to make each one visible in order to save all of the images of the IDs.
I'd like to be able to add a group of images (all square) as layers to a pre-defined area and have photoshop resize each accordingly. It would be great if I could batch save the images, too and not have to hide each successive image.
I'm using APS version 6,
If I make a change, like Invert of a filter, it doesn't apply to all open underlying layers no matter if they are Linked, Grouped or anything else I can figure out. Adjustment Layers do apply to all below, but not other kinds of changes/filters.
Photoshop CS3ext.When I go to size an image and try to adjust the size, the numbers take off on their own with out me even trying to adjust. Also in layers, all the slider bars, the numbers go crazy, up and down without me doing anything

I now have the official release of CS6, and I am still seeing this issue. And for clarification, here's what the issue is:
- I start off creating a text layer with a font size of 20px.
- I then transform this layer to make it larger.
- I copy the layer over so I have identical text layers.
- When I select each individually, I am shown the new, larger font size, we'll just say 40px. But when I select both together, it shows the original font size of 20px in the character palette. When I increase the font size with both selected to say 30px, it actually makes the text more like 60px.
Will this bug actually get fixed?
when you're deciding what size to make each photo, there starts to be a point where there is a noticeable lost of visual quality. what feature in any program (doesn't have to be adobe) can automatically enlarge the size up to a point where the visual quality is still good?
doing it manually for each photos is too inefficient.
I am trying to make a perfect circle that is the size of a CD.
I have made guides that are 5" x 5" wide (a little wider than an actual CD) and 5"x5" tall. When I try to create a circle shape or marquis inside of my lines, I can't. I have to make an oval in order to meet my guides.
I thought it was an issue with my units in my rulers. No dice. I tried creating a marquis fixed at 5"x5". No dice. Still an oval. Shouldn't 5"x5" be a perfect circle? A circle with a circumference of 5" would be the same all the way around, right? Or do I need to go back to geometry class?
I've come up with this little problem with my text. When I want to make them really small (like 1pt or 2pt) it gets all blury and messed up...
But I can't get the same quality with really small size like you see in those examples... I've tried the sharp, smooth, strong, none, etc but no none gives a good quality....
Here are a few copy merged layers, which I dragged in from another image; now I need to remove the extra stuff;
clicking on the mask icon gives the prohibitory sign.
Frame animation plays fine when played from timeline but all layers are exported stacked on top of each other for the duration of the whole animation. I'm able to see that because the layers have transparency.
About animation - 8 frames with in endless loop, imported into a timeline via 'Make Frames from Layers' command in a fly-out menu in the Timeliine window. Tweens for animation are off, 01.sec delay for all frames
I was able to export animated GIF before, wondering if this issue is tied to the latest update.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI got a picture of 4kb, and used Photoshop(cs4) to paint white all,so it changed to white rectangle, then saved it. that's for web site logos, so it must keep the picture size same as original (ex, 70px * 50px).
The problem I have was, the saved picture(with png, jpeg, gif, or any format) has a size of over 40k bite. How to make the file size at most the original size, i.e. 4kb by using Photoshop, if it is possible.

I want to print out this poster I made and I want it to completely fill the white computer paper. When I print out it leaves a white border. I made the image larger but it still leaves a border. Any ideas?

The file size is somewhere around 130 kb, and it takes a while for it to load up for a website. Yes I've used Imageready, and that doesn't help a whole lot. I just want it to load up quicker, without losing a lot of quality. The website is for the Air Force, I'm joining as a pilot and am making a site documenting my growing up in an air force family, and my going in the Air Force myself.
