Jun 10, 2012I am trying to edit a large number of images. Is there a way to do so in ACR so they are saved with the changes without having to re-open them through ACR?

I have a bunch of product photos that I need to resize to a square (1200x1200). I thought I might be able to import them all into Photoshop, resize them to fit the canvas.... center them all, one by one (not all photos are centered, this is my other issue) and then save them all at once. I have done all the above but cant figure out how to save each layer, as their respective layer name (ie. default photo name) with out flattening the layer and manually saving each one, one by one.
how to save as it wasnt a recorded action since all photos had some individual tweaking to center them on the canvas after I did a group (transform) resize.

Feb 21, 2008i put copyright text on my photos, i didn't flatten image but " save as" in JPEG,click "save" then before i close the photos , it said "save changes to the adobe photoshop document ...before closing?" then i clicked NO.
And now i opened these photos to change the size of the copyright text and year, i can't because there's no layer for the text, only a background which means the text and photo are in one layer. What should i do? or did i make a mistake somewhere?

Jan 12, 2013How to make GIF images already. The problem I'm having is that I can't seem to figure out how to edit all the frames at once. I would like to brighten them up and add curves, maybe sharpen.
I tried selecting all the layers, but then all the image editing options greyed out and weren't available. I really don't want to individually edit 58 frames, Is there a way to edit all at once? I'm using Photoshop CS3.
Photoshop Elements :: Images Too Small To Edit
Jun 27, 2013Something just happened here. In the past, when I open any photo in Elements 10, the image would pretty much fill the space. the bottom edge of the picture would almost reach the bottom of the workspace...whether vertical or horizontal format. Then I would create a duplicate and hit either ctrl + 0 (zero) and the duplicate would be a nice large size. ( Double clicking on the little hand in the tool bar would also do the same trick).
Now , for some reason, the picture opens to maybe 60% of that size. It's way too small to work on comfortably. The duplicate is even smaller. When I hit the ctrl + 0 ...nothing happens size remains the same. If I pull on lower right hand corner to enlarge...it only enlarges the ruler and frame. Picture itself remains same small size. How can I get that back? I tried a system restore. that did not work.

They are wooden cupboards and i need all the wood looking the same colour. In light room you can edit a group of images at the same time hence the colours are the same . Is this possible in Elements ? If so how do i do this ?

Sep 13, 2013I have been learning elements 9 and when i save an edit lots of times the organizer shows it as a torn or broken photo. When i bring it back into full edit, the picture is there but sometime i get the wrong one as i can not see the photo.
The save or save as did not automaicly put in the suffix. Added that and it showed up. Maybe some one more advanced than i can collaborate that finding.

Jan 5, 2013On just one image this would be a no brainer, I'd just use the paint brush or similar tool to wipe over a section I want covered and use the crop tool to get the image size and position I'm after. The thing is though, I'd like to do the same edit and crop to a series of photos to keep them all consistent and it's beyond me how to do that in PS5. I find tips on using scripts, batch processing or stacking images that seem to defy the English language and don't address the two simple little things I want to do to these images.
Any resource, that could accomplish what I'd like to think should be a simple task for such an expensive program?

Mar 16, 2012I have some embedded images in Frame Maker that I need to edit in Photoshop. I copy the image from FM and paste it as a new image into Photoshop. Most of the time its OK, but sometimes it comes up like this, or worse.
It should look like this.
Pasting the image into any other program (i.e. Word, Visio, Paintbrush) works, but it takes more time to fix it, the size is usually off and needs adjusting, and the output is of lower quality.
In FM, the images that seem to do this are JPEG / Frame Vector or PNG / Frame Vector according to the Facets field.

Mar 2, 2014I'm traveling right now and so not in my natural environment, dont have full resources. I'm using my Mac Book Pro and doing some light editing. I can not, however, get Lr3 and PSE9 to play nice together though. If in Lr3 I request <Edit in PSE9> it only tries to launch PSE even if it is already open but will not open the imaged. If I drag the images from Lr3 to PSE it will be locked and I can not even create a duplicat layer.

Aug 5, 2012For some reason after drawing shapes with the shape tool, whether it is one line or a custom shape, I just can't edit it after drawing it. I can't edit it at all and it doesn't appear on any layer. I can delete every single layer and the shape will still be there.
They are not paths, but just to double check I did look under paths but it is empty. It doesn't matter what else I've done, or whether it is a new blank page I can't do anything with any shape once I've drawn it.
I can't get it to select it when I click show transform controls, I can't select it with the marquee tool and delete it (because it isn't on any layer) and I can't place anything over it to cover it.
I have to keep saving before drawing any shape and close and reopen the file if the shape doesn't go quite as I wanted first time. Obviously if I want anything over the shape in any way I can't do it.

Sep 7, 2012I'm aiming to take RAW photo files, edit them in a wide color space, and when posting them to the web, save them as sRGB.
My workspace is as follows:
I open RAW files in Photoshop via ACR as 16-bit ProPhoto smart objects. When I finish editing them, I use "Save for Web" with the "Convert to sRGB" and "Embed Color Profile" boxes checked.
Photoshop and Bridge tell me the profile in photos saved as such is sRGB as expected. When I upload to a site like flickr, however, the metadata says the photo is still in ProPhoto. See an example here: [URL]...If I use "Convert to Profile" and change it to sRGB, then upload to flickr, the metadata says the photo is in sRGB, as it should be.

Sep 3, 2013I am trying to access the edit original (edit with) option to edit a photo that has not been edited yet. I right click and go through the edit menu and does not appear or is not available? Would I have to reopen it manual in photoshop or is there a way around this to access that setting? it sometimes does not appear on my already edited photos.
I would prefer not to open each photo again, as some files i do not have and were imported into the document with another computer.

Originally it saved them at quality level 10 but I re-recorded the action to set the quality at 12. However, since this change the action keeps saving as into the folder where the image I used for the re-recording was located.

When I am finished for the time being, I am unable to click on either the "X" or "Exit". The program doesn't respond, and I have to go to the Windows Task Manager to shut down CorelDraw. Because of this, the work is not saved. I have Windows 7, and I also have all of the X5 updates installed.

PS CS6 suddenly will not allow me to save any images. I get a message saying that either another application is using the file, or that I do not have permission to save it in which case I should allow permission in "Get info".
I have checked under "get info" and the image is not locked. I have tried saving it as an administrator also... I have even tried saving it to many other files on my computer with no luck. There is no other application running on my system which could be using the file. I have tried saving Jpegs, Tiffs, and PSD documents, and none of them will save, whether I perform minor adjustments on the file or whether I perform many adjustments.
I use a mac and I am running OS 10.7.5. I recently started using a Wacom tablet and installed that software. I also installed some Photoshop filters that came with it. I uninstalled the filters because I did not like them. I have checked in the plug-in folders to see if any lingered there and where causing a conflict but the plug-in folder is empty. The other thing I did recently was I removed all of the cookies from my Chrome browser but I can't see how this would affect Photoshop. I have checked for updates using the adobe application manager and have updated everything.

Lightroom :: How To Save Edit History When Moving Files
Oct 13, 2013How can I move pictures without losing history (exposure changes, crop changes, etc)? I have LR4 and am using DNG files. No matter how I move files (move the folder within LR, move the folder than then re-sync in LR, etc) it always loses the History. I've searched and have found numerous "tutorials" on how to properly move files but can't seem to be able to keep the History along with it (I get the last state of the image, but not the actual history itself).

I still do not get the option to save as jpg. I understand that JPEG2000 gives more information etc but at this stage there are very few places that can view .jpf files.
