VideoStudio :: Encoder Profiles - Unable To Save Changes
Dec 27, 2010X3 on Windows 7 (can replicate this on both Home Premium and Pro). I migrated from XP and am very very happy with the way X3 runs on Windows 7 but I am having a big problem. I had a library of customized Windows Media Encoder settings (different bit rates, frame sizes, etc.) for output as .WMV files. When I try to copy or customize any of the existing encoder profiles (which all work just fine) the system does not allow me to save. I have set full permissions for the logged user and made sure the directory is not read only.

Nov 22, 2013I was having an issue in Corel VideoStudio Pro x4. I could not create custom video output files (profiles; see attached image). So I ran VideoStudio as admin. No luck. I reinstalled it as admin and ran it as admin. No luck. I tried manually changing the files corresponding to the default video profiles with notepad. Initially I was denied access. Through a rigorous method of trying to figure out why I was denied access to changing the files, I found out that I was denied access to even renaming the Corel folder (with nothing running corel programs).
I downloaded a better version of task manager to figure out what must be running in the background. Nothing was running anything located in the Corel folder. I still couldn't even rename the corel folder on an admin account. I booted in safe mode (and then I could change the folder name, etc), and changed one of the default video output profiles. The changes stuck even across computer reboots, but my changes were not recognized in VideoStudio (no clue why; I changed the profiles found in the profile subfolder of Corel).
So, I figured what with the sale going on, I might as well upgrade to Pro x6. Bought it. Uninstalled VideoStudio x4 completely. Deleted the Corel folder entirely from Program Files (x86). Installed VideoStudio x6. Got it launched as admin, attempted to create a profile, and got the same error. Trying to rechange the Corel folder results in the same denial of permissions that I used to have, even after running it as admin, disabling UAC, and changing the security permissions on the folder itself.
How to create a custom profile. Attached is example errors. Need tocreate a profile that is the exact same as the WMV HD 720 30p default profile, only with better sound (24 bits instead of 16 bits and/or 48/96KHz instead of 41KHz), and then direct me to which folder I should place said filed in (as changing stuff in the profile folder didn't seem to make much difference).

May 18, 2013I would like to know if it is possible to create more then one shortcut key profile in acad2011.
I need more then one acad.pgp file with different configurations that i can load via express => tools any time I want. Tried to make a copy and name it acad1.pgp, acad2.pgp, etc... but when I start up express tools, cmd editor, the option file => open does not give me the result I was hoping for. Does nothing actually, just allows me to view the shortcut configurations in the particular file. Hope that this explains my predicament

Mar 31, 2013Trying to find ICC Profiles. I am a college student going for my BS in Photography. Our assignment is to take photo paper from three different manufactures and download the ICC Profiles for each of our papers chosen. Let me tell you this is not as easy as it seems! Where I can find the profiles for Adobe PS for different types of photo paper. Each manufacture only gives the ICC profile for their products. No scanned profiles are available.

I have created alignment offsets to obtain the existing surface at the offset location. I would like the edge profiles to have a vertical offset from the center profile. Also if I modify the center profile I want it to dynamically adjust the edge profiles.

Oct 1, 2012I have made 11 successful intersections in my subdivision, but there is one that just won't work!
When I get to the point where I want to set curb return parameters, the dialog box pops up but there is nothing listed under the quadrants.
If i go ahead and try to make the intersection anyway, I get this message: "one or more of the secondary road profiles cannot be locked".

Jun 28, 2012Is there a particular reason that the intersection wizard will not create the profiles if you select the horizontal alignments rather than let it create them by offset?? My EOP is not always parallel to the centerline. Why bother giving the option to pick out a name if it isn't going to work.

Nov 14, 2012I am having some issues with surface profiles on a dreffed alignment no updating dynamically.
Currently it requires me to set them to static, then back to dynamic and they update.
I am well aware of the issue of dreffed surface profiles staying static. I am using the work around of dreffing in the surface and sampling in the drawing using the dreffed alignment.

Dec 28, 2012I just upgraded from Photoshop Elements 10 to Photoshop Elements 11. One of the reasons I stayed with Adobe rather than Corel was the ability to work with multipage PDF's.
I noticed that I can't add more than one page to a project and save a multiple page PDF. I can open a multiple page PDF, but not create or save one.
Is this a new limitation, or just a software bug Adobe plans to fix?

When i save a copy to create a PDF, the dialog box does not appear.
Yet, the other screen functions are grayed out.
I must hit "return", at which point a PDF is created -- but i have no control over the parameters.
It's as if the dialog box is somewhere off my screen, but I can't access it.

My target: in AutoCAD pops a dialog, select filename (related to our internal projects) string, then it will create a DWG file from a template DWT file. Then some operation like insert elements into the DWG file and then SAVE (with the filename assigned).

Well it doesn't work on either of #1-4
#1 give out "eFileInternalErr" exception, which I found the answer - you can't call save() if it's open from exist file
#2 works ... but it just save the contents we write to the database but won't save template file contents, ie. we have put in layers inside the template file but they doesn't save to the new file
#3 give out "drawing is busy" error, no clue why it's "busy" ...
#4 give out same error as #3

Published with a warning(s) Cannot create font
As you can see the font has no name so I can't install any missing font.
I found out that this error occurs only in drawings created from the company template wich I believe was created years ago. If I use any other template from inventor everithing is ok.

Oct 24, 2013I recently u[graded from a very old Illustrator version to CS6 and I noticed the crop tool is missing. It used to be really easy in the old version to drag the crop tool around the area in question and crop marks would be generated automatically. Then I could save and print just that area only. Now this tool is gone and I am having trouble with finding a way to define the area I want to save or print. When i generate crop marks and then save, all i get is a file with plenty of white around it that also shows the crop marks....

Apr 5, 2013I have re-installed APDS Ultimate 2013 onto a new computer and am having some issues setting up my styles and etc...for the most part I have been working on it as I go with no issues...but I can't remember how I set up my export to dxf settings before. I think I just used the default settings, I exported to dxf from the idw environment by saving copy as and selecting dxf from drop down menu and selecting something like AutoCAD 2004. This has worked before and still does now, but the problem is the dxf's that are exported are huge. The drawing is of a single tiny part with basic geometry. The picture below shows the size difference between the files.
how I can make it a normal size, I don't really care about the size of the dxf except for the fact that I can't email it because we have a limit of 10MB.

Nov 16, 2010In the save as dialog box, the button for creating a new folder will automatically create a named "new folder" at the bottom of the files list. It does not come up highlighted for naming but can be right-clicked, renamed. If your files list is long you won't even see the new folder created as it does not snap to the folder either. Conversely; I can still right-click, new, folder. This acts as expected which creates folder at the top of files list, highlighted for naming.
