I have Windows XP, last night i moved all JPEG Images in my computer and when i opened it back up I noticed that my JPEG images are no JPEGS!!! I can't open my picture any more??? I check their properties and they are now VBSCRIPT files?? I want them back to JPEGS so I can view them.
I got a new computer (Windows 7) at work this April and as of today, when I work on any of my JPEG images in PS CS5,suddenly it has defaulted its "Save As" to JPEG2000. How did this default change and how do I get it to default save as. JPEG again? There was nothing I noticed and no warning as to why this has changed, I didn't touch a thing!
(Last week, Adobe had to work with our IT manager to fix a problem that started occuring with my new Adobe Acrobat Pro 11 program. They had to log into my computer and change a registry thing to get it to work properly again...also something that changed without warning!!)
I have Photoshop Elements 9. I want to put a bar code jpeg image on the back cover of a book which I am creating and save it as jpeg and send to printer.
I have a full spherical panorama image in a psb format that I converted into a 3D spherical map in order to cleanup, clone a little and add nadir art. All good there but can't figure out how you get the 3D object back into the full flattened psb format rather than just exporting/saving the view the 3D camera is looking at?
I have a free trial version of Adobe Photoshop CS2 and for some unknown reason when I open a PDF file Photoshop is reading it as a Bitmap Image and when I go to save it as a JPEG it will not let me.
I have cs5 and I have a whole bunch of old tiff's and I want to convert them all to jpeg's...is there a way I can do a mass conversion from one to the other. Also I want to change pix size and resolution. If so how do I do it?? I know it can be done on Elements, if I can do it on that then there must be a way to do it on cs5.
Years ago I scanned old family photos using Adobe Photoshop and saved them as pdf files. Now I don't have the software to open them. I've read online that I may have success if I download software called Image Converter Plus. Should I go that route or will today's Adobe Photoshop software convert them? I currently do not own any of the Adobe products.
I opened a JPEG image, it was all b&w and I used layers/curves to add color to certain parts of the pic. It saved as a psd automatically now I can't get it to convert so I can upload the image, I've looked up all kinds of things to try and it's not working.
I have a jpeg that has a white background. I want to remove teh white background so I can drag the jpeg into a layer on another iamge. I tried using the magnetic lassoo tool but it didnty come out all that good. I remember when i used to use Paitshop pro you could choose a colour in an image that you would like to make transparent. Can something like this be done in PS?
Have a photograph which I have modified in wporkspace rgb/8. Looks great in Photoshop with the exact colours I want.
If I now save in a jpeg or png format the resulting image is much lighter and appears to have white speckles.
I then thought I'd try the save for web option and to my suprise I find that on that screen my Original is not displayed as in my PS main screen but rather as the pasty looking image I see after exporting.
I am using pse9, I resized photos with Perfect Resize and they are now in psd files. I copied them to a flash drive and tried to move them to a converter, but the converter does not recognize them.
I want to convert a large tiff(490MB) into a JPEG in Photoshop with CS5. The "save as" options don't show JPEG as an option. The image is in 8 bit mode already, and I've tried cmyk and rgb mode. "Save for web and devices" is also not an option. The image is one layer.
I am trying to create a simple action/droplet that will open a bunch of PDF files and make them a certain resolution on the open and then save as jpegs to a particular file. The problem is, when I create the action, the first step, when I open the PDF file, whatever name was in the name box, is it??? Every new PDF opens with that same name and overrides the next one.
Is there a way to tell Photoshop to pick the current name of the file opening and not use the one that was the original file that the action was created from?
I am a little bit lost when reading discussions regarding the best way to have photos accepted by Istockphoto. They are extremely demanding about the quality of the pictures and they accept zero artifacts for example.
I read that any corrections made of a RAW picture in Lightroom 4 must be very minimal (almost no correction for saturation, vibrace, exposure, and sharpening, noise etc.).
In this case it would mean that Lightroom is of no use and whay not use directly Photoshop CS6 to convert the RAW photo into a high quality JPEG. If this is true, what are the best settings in CS6 to convert a RAW photo into a JPEG format ?
In elements 10 i used to be able to convert multiple .nef files to various jpeg resolutions at one time by using "process multiple files" under the file heading. When i try to do this inelements 11, that option is unavailable (unhighlighted). How do i do this?
I am using PSE9 and just put it on our new Mac 10.8.2 from windows 7. It runs fine but things aren't quite the same. On windows if I wanted to covnert a RAW file to jpg and was in the organiser I just clicked on file, save, and selected jpg and could choose mulitple photos easily. On the mac when I am in the organiser and click on file there is no save button....is it hiding. I can do them one at a time when I'm in edit but that is a very long way about doing it. Is there an easy way to select lots of photos in the organizer and convert them to jpg from RAW?
Is there a way to convert a pattern back to it's original form? I know that you can edit a pattern, once it has been created, but what about reverting back to the starting point?
I have a student who created a rather complex drawing and then converted it to a pattern, the design does not work well, because it is too elaborate, he has three different art pieces. A record, a jukebox and a piano. These are all great illustrations on their own, but do not make a good pattern. Is there a way to undo the pattern?
How do I process multiple files and turn them from raw to jpeg. Ive tried and it seems to go through the files but doesnt seem to process them or store them in the selected folder
I just purchased a copy of Elements and have never used it before. Most of my features (such as layers etc) are grayed out. However, my "covert to 8bit/channel" option is grayed out and I can't work out how to choot in 8-bit or how to covert my 24 bit photos to 8-bit.
