View 2 Replies View RelatedHow do I control which colors appear in the color line that scroll across the bottom of the window. The only colors that currently appear are shades of reds/purples and yellows/greens. If I scroll across from left to right the same colors just keep repeating themselves. There are no shades of gray or blue. Can I somehow preset the colors that appear or do I have no control over what colors scroll across the bottom.
View 4 Replies View RelatedUsing AutoCAD 2013 and TOL command to generate feature control frames. We set our lineweights based on layer assignments.
Problem is that when printing, AutoCAD seems to randomly assign a lineweight to the feature control frames. It can vary from what it's supposed to be (such as lineweight set for the dimension layer) or thicker than even what the object lines are set at. Seems to pick a random linewieght at time of printing for these elements (just the boxes, not the symbols/text itself).
Is there a setting we should be defining somewhere to force it to follow the lineweight of the layer that it has been assigned to? Known bug?
I recently installed CS5 on my laptop after first removing it from my previous machine. All licences were validated so no problems there. Now when using paint bucket in Photoshop, the colors that I select in the color picker are not the colors that result when I use the paint bucket.
If I create a new black canvas then the colors selected in color picker work with paint bucket. But if I attempt to recolor the background in an existing image that I import into Photoshop, I get the mismatch with colors when I use paint bucket. My method for selecting colors is the same in each case, I select 'set foreground color' and set the color using html values entry at the bottom of the panel.
Just wanted to print a new photo and realized that the colors in print preview do not match the colors in soft proofing. In both cases I selected the same icc profile and rendering method. The print colors matched the colors in print preview. I never had a problem so far. All new prints will be checked with soft proofing and adjusted when necessary. I never paid attention to the color rendition in print preview and all prints perfectly matched the colors from the soft proofing. I was surprised when my print came out of the printer and the colors weren't matching the soft proofing colors, but that of the print preview.
I don't understand why Photoshop renders the colors differently in the first place. See attached screenshot for the difference in the blue/cyan colors. I don't care if the print view colors will match the print, but I do care when soft proofing is not working.
The colors of pictures is much darker when working in photoshop than when I open it normally. And vice versa, I work on images inside photoshop, and I get the colors I want, but once I save it to bmp or jpg or anything else, all the colors are much lighter.
i'm using photoshop 7.
CDX5: Whatever color I select for fill or outline is now set as the default color for fills and outlines without expressly setting it as such. Until now when I left or right click a color with nothing selected it allowed me to set it as a default fill or outline color for graphics, artistic text, or paragraph text. It does not do that now.
Is this a "feature" that's been added that I somehow enabled? In any event, how do I turn it off?
We are working with a company that will be sending us DWG files. They do not use the same layer colors as us and I am trying to find a lisp that would allow me to set up a table with the layer names and the color I want them to be so that I can quickly change all the layers to our companys color standards.
Example:
Layer 1 = Color 1
Layer 2 = Color 15
Layer 3 = Color 10
Etc.
I don't know a lot about lisp but I figure if I could find a lisp that did this I could plug in my layer/color assignments and it would work.
Using CS6 on a MacBookPro Is there a way to find the closest matching Pantone spot colors to the cmyk colors I've created in Illustrator? I know it's easy in Photoshop using the color picker, but there must be a way to do this in Illustrator.
View 4 Replies View RelatedYou can see in the attached screen cap that colors 1-9 appear as white on my screen and that colors 10-22 are not correct either. This is only occuring in one specific drawing. Is there a preference that I switched somewhere that would make this happen? I have double checked that everything is ByLayer or ByColor that I can think of. If I insert this color chart into other drawings it looks fine. using C3D 2012.
I would just restart my drawing, however it is the new company template file that I have invested many hours into and would really like to be able to keep working with it and not start over. Or is there a good way to import and overwrite all the Prospector settings into a blank drawing?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm using Photoshop CS6 (13.1.2) from Creative Cloud subscription. I'm working on a Retina Macbook Pro with OSX 10.8.3 and i'm working with different desktops using OSX Mission Control feature to switch between desktops.
The problem that i encounter is that when i switch from the desktop where Photoshop is opened to another desktop, and then i return to the desktop where is opened Photoshop, well i can't no more use the keyboard shortcuts to change the tools, like switching from (M) Marquee tool to (V) Move Tool.
Does anyone know getting better control over the pen tool?

I was trying to make a new image by pressing Cntl-N and discovered all the commands that require the control key do not work. In other applications (Mozilla for example) the control key work. I looked at the keyboard shortcuts in PS and it is correctly specified as Cntl-N for a new file but yet it does not work.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI need to make a filmstrip.
My problem is absolute control of the strip. I want to control the strip when warping so it will go over objects and wrap around things etc.
Is there a program or filter that does this.
I made this quickly in Photoshop to illustrate my problem.
The strip is several different vector paths with gradient and used a brush to paint in the dots. This method is tedious. I need a quicker more controlled way..
I am running both PS CC and CS6 on my mac mini (late 2012, 2.3 i7, 16 GB ram). When I try to use the lighting effects filter on CC, it opens, and all the sliders in the properties box work, but without the tools to point and modify the light source. On CS6, lighting effects opens with the expected oval shaped tools and the intensity adjuster. I am assuming that it is not the Mac-mini, as it handles both versions, CC and CS6,Is this a bug in CC? I have searched and found nothing to this effect. I am assuming the video capabilities are adequate as the lighting effects option is not greyed out in either version. Also, I have made sure the image I am working on is in 8 bit mode.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a photo of a coffee cup on some wood with decent grain, but the exposure has blasted out some of the grain...I've done a passable job of adding in what could be taken for grain, especially if I blur it in a sort of DOF thing...
can I use a gradient to control this blur, as in no blur at one end of the gradient, to more blur by gradient's end?
I'm sure the answer is yes
I just noticed there are two various of Text Transform. I have screen shot the them. First one is "text size changes when corner is dragged". However the second one is size remains unchanged when it is dragged.how to create the first one.

Why don't I have complete liquify control panels? How do I get them?
When I go to liquify I get some kind of watered down, simplified version of it. For instance, on the left edge I have 7 icons instead of the 12 shown I've seen on various webpage screenshots of the Liquify Filter screen
I tried posting a link such as this one, but it doesn't work:
[URL].... I have Tool and Reconstruct Options, but am missing Mask and View Options.
I am now using CS5 and I have spent probably at least 10 hours trying to learn how to efficiently use the gradient tool to fade luminosity and color adjustments. I have comletely failed to figure it out on my own or find any useful tutorials.
One of the editors I used to have made it really easy to drag out a gradient wherever I wanted it. That may have been CS, can't recall.
I'm not the slightest interested in all the colored effects type gradients that are all over the internet. Any good tutorial that focuses on the underlined task? Or, where to find a good plugin or seperate program to do the job?
So, I am running Photoshop CS at my house, and trying to do some side work. But what bothers me is the poor zoom control I'm getting in CS. The Alt-scroll wheel works great in CS2 or CS3, where it focuses in on the mouse arrow. But in CS, all it does is zoom into the top left corner of the doc.. Can anyone tell me why?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI want to make slightly curved arch blur effect, but I can't figure it out how to.
Using radial blur, it needs huge canvas size so I don't want to take that.
Also I want to control arch angle manually.
I have an odd question. This may not be possible, but can any of you think of any way to do the following:
Have one layer on which you could make control other layers. Ummm. For instance if you change layer "A", layers "1", "2", "3", etc. would also change.
I want each of those layers to be absolutely identical, but I will be changing their contents regularly and thus don't particularly want to change each one individually. I know I could duplicate the new changed layer but that is going to be a real pain in this particular case.
I have many images of skies with clouds in them. I would like to warp a cloud into the shape of an airplane. I have tried (thus far UNsuccessfully) to control the warp tool - or more accurately the grid - well enough to do this.
I don't want to crop or otherwise delete the other pixels, because I want the edge to have the "real" cloud effect of wisping away. But, when I try to use the warp tool, too much of the cloud changes.
(I need to make the fuselage section fairly thin, while the wings must remain wide.) Can anyone give me some pointers on how to gain better control? Or is the warp tool completely inadequate for this project?
1. With the pen tool/selection tools, if i've made a point and it has no control handles, how do i make it so that it has control handles?
2. If a point has 2 control handles, how do I delete one of them?
3. When im working on a path how do I make it so that PS doesn't create a vector mask based on that path every time I create an adjustment layer?
versed on controlling points in Illustrator, but some of those dont carry over to Photoshop.
I started using CS4 last month after using CS for several years, there are so many new features. One useful feature I found was an auto perspective control that allowed me to straighten vertical lines (from wide angle distortion) with just one click. I used this auto perspective control one time just after installing CS4 but since then can't remember how to access it although I've searched quite a bit. It was not in Filters>Distort>Lens Correction or Edit>Transform>Warp. It was a one-click auto feature, but where..?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI have Photoshop 7, Monaco EzColor, NVidia 6800 card with a control panel, and a SyncMaster 193 Plus digital monitor with control software. ALL of these can change the monitor qualities. I use Monaco to profile my scanner and printer - it does a great job; it can profile the monitor also.
My question is:
what would be the best overall CM system - which combination of controls (or which one)would be best (the monitor control utility has stopped working and I have turned it off).
In photoshopCS3/web photo gallery, how can one add labels to the control icons on the bottom left of the slide show?
