Photoshop :: How Do I Change The Colors In The Picture
Dec 14, 2008I've been browsing around for a while and there is a lot of great info.
Here's my question:
How do I change the colors in the picture, but still make it look real?
I've been browsing around for a while and there is a lot of great info.
Here's my question:
How do I change the colors in the picture, but still make it look real?
I have a picture that I like to change the colors on. I have attached the picture. I used the tool select by color which seemed to work but then the instructions I have found said to use the Color Exchange tool but that does not work.

We are working with a company that will be sending us DWG files. They do not use the same layer colors as us and I am trying to find a lisp that would allow me to set up a table with the layer names and the color I want them to be so that I can quickly change all the layers to our companys color standards.
Example:
Layer 1 = Color 1
Layer 2 = Color 15
Layer 3 = Color 10
Etc.
I don't know a lot about lisp but I figure if I could find a lisp that did this I could plug in my layer/color assignments and it would work.
I would like to change a picture with many colors into a picture using only 2 colors (of the color picker for instance). I nearly found what I was looking for with the halftone pattern filter but I don't want the pattern in the final result.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am working on a project for my online class and am having difficulties with the History Brush. Note that both files are identical in size etc.
1. I created a color text file and saved it with a specific name.
2. I copied an existing photo from iPhoto, as I couldn't import into PhotoShop, and pasted it in a new file. I then removed the white background layer and then saved it with its now specific name and closed the file.
3. I re-opened the Color Text File.
4. I then re-opended my photo.
5. I performed a "Select All" from the menu bar of my active Photo then selected Edit - Copy and then closed my Photo file.
6. From my Color Text File I selected Edit and then Paste from the menu bar.
7. I selected Layer and Flatten Image from the menu bar.
8. I right clicked the background image from the Layers Panel and created a snapshot (which is my photo)
9. I selected the History brush and verified that this also displayed in the gray box associated with the Color Text file within the History Panel.
10. I verified that my photo image was displayed in my work area.
11. I start to fill the photo with my History Brush and the only color I get is White.
Is there an easy (or not) way to make a picture of two colors? I mean instead of black and white an image in yellow and blue or red and blue.

In the photo below she was originally in normal colour and the bikini was blue. I would really love to do this with some shots of my wife but cant get the colour to work.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm working on an online store for flamenco products. We have wide range of dresses and shoes and it's almost impossible to get good quality photos for all of them.
My main concern is that I would like to present all different color options in decent quality imagery. I was thinking of taking the best image for each and simply photo shopping the colors.
Seeing that I will have to do a lot of color options for a lot of dresses and shoes. Moderately quick, decent quality and adaptable to bulk photo shopping.
Basically meaning that I cannot put the care and detail I would if I just photo shopped a single image, I don't need high res pixel perfect quality. It should just look decent and I should be able to do it in a moderate amount of time.
I have a picture with large area of color: #fffdfd, when I save it for web (jpg) this color is changed to #fefcfd (in JPG).
I just can not save as JPG with #fffdfd. (was trying uncheck convert to sRGB, do not embed color profile - always #fffdfd changes to #fefcfd when save for web)
However, color #fefcfd when save for web , does not change.
Why some colors change and some not? Is it a bug ?

View 2 Replies View RelatedOk I am interested in changing the colors of cars. I.E. I have a 57 Chevy that I am not sure what color I want to paint and would like to use photoshop to help me decide. The only thing I can do is paint it with a flat color I would like to change it right from the actually pic. I can change the hue/ saturation but that also changes the background. Am I supposed to create a layer for the car itself? It seems that when I do that it doesn't do the same color for all of the body. The car right now has different color paint in the jpeg I am using. I could understand if it was just one color that would be easy but I can't seem to do it for multipule colors. But I have seen where guys that have the same color for one particuliar thing be changed for all.

I am new at Photoshop.
I think I understand what View> Proof Setup does in Photoshop. It shows you a preview of what the image will look like with the chosen color space. But here is what I dont get. With an image open choose View>Proof Setup and then "Internet Standard RGB (sRGB)". Now close the image and reopen it. Choose View>ProofSetup again. Notice that "Internet Standard RGB (sRGB)" is already selected. Now, re-select the color space again and when you do pay very close attention to the image. Does it change colors? Mine does and that is what I am questioning. Why does it do that?
When I reselect the color space after opening the file, it changes color. Of course, if I select a different color space than what was selected when I open the file, it changes. I expect that.
