The following images were created using Lucisart, a photoshop plugin.
However this plugin is for Photoshop 7 and beyond and I'm currently using Photoshop 6 and anyway it costs more than I'm willing to spend if there are other plugins available that will do much the same thing for a better price.

I am designing a piece of public sculpture for outdoors. I have photographs of the location and photographs of my little model. I now need to insert the photograph of the little model into the location photographs and make it look like it belongs there. So I need the inserted model to adopt the environmental effects of it's surroundings.
I'm using CS5.5

I have a really curvy sculpture. How do I draw the dimensions of the elevation for it?
I have attached a picture of my drawing. I was told to do gidelines and show the dimension of them. However I find it not very accurate for the contractors to read.

I'm looking how to achieve the circle ripple'ish effect that can someone be seen in the outer points of image marked with "1" - (ignore the lens flare itself, don't want it there). I've just played around with some tools to see if I could get somewhere near the effect - this is not quite perfect though. The image marked with "2" got a very low opacity example of this.
Im looking to do something like nr "2" with the white "ripple"/glow'ish effect. I figured it could be done in a manual combination of -> making a circle shape -> applying some effect to it -> copy the layer -> scale it down etc. But haven't been apple to find a useable combination and was hoping there perhaps were some filter or other method.
EDIT: click the image to see it correctly

I've been experimenting in several programs (Lightroom, Photoshop) and playing with color balance and split toning but can't get these same vintage-ish color toned effects. Especially the toning and slightly opaque effect in the shadows.

But I need more control than I can achieve with the nine section grid it imposes on my image.I frequently need to warp a page layout to look like it is situated within an open book..I can get it pretty close but I want it perfect.
I have tried using Puppet Warp and the Liquify Filter to fine tune my warps but they dont really do their thing without deteriorating the image in undesired ways.
how better to control my warps so they follow the curves of the pages more convincingly?Any resources available that show advanced methods of using the Warp tool?(Most of what I find on YouTube is useless beginner stuff)

I am trying to put a layer on top of another and achieve a specific effect.
My bottom layer is a normal color image, however my top layer is a single object with completely white background. I am trying to over-layer the two in such a way that the object on the top layer is fully visible and blocks the space behind it. However the white portion of the top layer should not interfere with the bottom image. I know there is a cropping method but I cannot use any cropping in what I am doing. I need to figure out how to do this effect using layer options.
The trick is that I have a completely white background on my top image, so I think there should be a way to make white transparent but at the same time keep the object visible.
Here is a sample of what i am looking for (I did this using cropping technique but need to figure out how to do it using layer options/effects such as multiply and overlay)

I once created this image, I am not quite sure how i achieve the blur affect on the fonts. I rememebr when i saved it, "indexed color" poped up, I chose something from the drop-down list, and found the words changed...seems pretty nice, so I saved it. I thought i remebered every step, but now I followed the steps i remember, i just couldn't get this anymore..

I have an image here, a product on grey seamless, and the rgb values across the seamless vary. In the top left the rgb values are around 200 - 208, in the bottom right the values are around 160 - 180. I need to make the values of the background close to consistent all around, however without just painting in a solid grey. There needs to remain some texture of the actual seamless. The result should be like the second image. Is there a way to achieve this fairly quickly and easily?

I've seen this type of effect used on photos, mostly for fashion ads, and how its done. Possibly, it has to do with lighting during the photo shoot itself. But it seems to me that there is also a significant deal of processing in Photoshop.
Mostly what interests me is that quality that retains a photographic look, while at the same time gives the image a somewhat plastic and unrealistic feel to it.
I tried to attach a sample image which shows exactly what I'm talking about... but it seems that since I'm new here I can't include links until I have at least 5 posts under my belt. You can see the image if you look here: [URL] ....

I've been trying to figure out how to add a matrix syle bullet trail to an image. In case you guys havn't seen the matrix its a trail coming from the bullet that distorts everything it passes in front of.I notice this effect can be achieved by using the ghost trails plug-in for 3d studio max, but that takes a LOT of work and i was just wondering if any of you know to do this in photoshop maybe using the displace filter or something. If anybody knows how to do this it would be great if you could post a tutorial or just something to point me in the right direction.

I want to design a template for my band's myspace, however the problem is with most artists, what I have envisioned hasn't exactly been going as planned when I try to achieve it in photoshop. What I had imagined is a template that had mist, fog, leather and moonbeams,
The first effect I am looking to do looks like this:
I had wanted to have leather as the background, as in not too detailed but shiny like this picture. However I have no idea where to start to make leather that looks this quality.
The second effect here is a mist, ghost like fog:
I pretty much am looking to do this effect scattered for the template, yet I have tried and have no where to start or accomplish this.
The last effect would be moonbeams:
All I really want is to have moonbeams that are similiar to this, no idea really what to do :/
Anyways I realize I am asking for a lot here, but I am in no ways advanced with Photoshop,

In the attached image, I'm trying to achieve a true white background in PSE. I put a true white box in the image to show the gray background that's in the original shot. (I understand it'd be best if I could achieve the true white with the camera in the original shot, but this seems to be the best I can do with the camera. I set white balance and over-exposed as far as I could without washing out the subject. Still a gray background.)
The problem I'm having is that every PSE tool I use to try to adjust the background image washes out the thin hairs of the grain. Ideally, I'd like to be able to create a perfect mask so I can just kockout the background. That way, I can adjust the tones of the subject without affecting the surrounding area.
