I have been using Photoshop for a few years now but would not consider myself advanced in any way!
I have to complete a textiles assignment and need to screen print some tshirts. I have been told by the printer that I have to pay per colour, and was wondering if anyone knew of a way of restricting the amount of colours in Photoshop?

I run an ecommerce business selling designer men’s underwear and was wondering how I could achieve an image for my products similar to the ones shown via the links below?
These illustrate different product images of men’s underwear and they look as though they have been photographed whilst being worn by an invisible man.
One of the links is to a product of a thong, which I have included because it illustrates how detailed and clear the washing label is on the inside of the waist band.
They have over 200 products photographed and illustrated in this way and I can not figure out how they have achieved it.

i just play around with GIMP and do some graphic works – in order to get familiar with GIMP .I want to create a image where i have some balls – in a randomized fashion -
can i tell G I M P that it draws colored balls in the field in such a randomized fashion -
Would you do it
1. drawing balls without color (defining a ball its certain size
2. defining the area where the ball is - within the whole field.
3. adding the color

Looking for technique for assembling a grid of dots in a pseudo-random fashion?
Â
I hope the attached image makes more sense.

Basically the final result is pic3 with the dots appearing over time via pic1 and pic2.

i am trying to do some rotoscoping (editing film frame by frame). I create the filmstrip in Premiere, but when i try to open it with Photoshop, i just get a blank single frame instead of the whole filmstrip. The filmstrip file is about 3.5Gb so i know it is not a blank file. as i do not want to have to return Premiere and Photoshop and purchase another film editing solution.

The question is, is there a viewable photo bin or filmstrip available in CS3 and how do I get to see it? What I mean is, if I have two or three images open in Photoshop the only way I get to see which one's are open is to choose Window > View > Tile or Cascade images. Elements and Lightroom have a bin/filmstrip at the bottom of the screen in which all open images can be seen. Once again, apologies if I've explained this badly.

HI,I have moved the content in the Filmstrip view to create a vertical display + preview. In the vertical display, I now have two columns of very tiny thumbnails. How can I change the size of the thumbnails?

I create animated gifs frequently using the Frame Animation pallet. The default frame rate starts out as 10 seconds, so I always have to change it to 4 seconds. Is there anyway to reset the default frame rate that I start out with to 4 seconds, so that I don't have to change it every time?
Preferences did not yield any promising menus
I know the standard default reset with many Adobe products is to change it without a document open, but in PS CS5.5 if you do not have a document open the frame rate option is greyed out

I am editing a short avi clip converted from a 1959 8mm film in the timeline. The telecine conversion results in as sharp an image as I have manged to get using PPro 5.5 unsharp mask. I tried mocha planar tracking to automatically remove a fixed spider web on the top edge of each frame in the clip. Â
Because the web is not distinct and the background does not progress at a steady fixed pace, the mocha procedure was not successful. Previous feedback recommended methods to mask the edge. Using various masking attempts to automate the procedure was also unsuccessful for the same reasons as mocha.
Â
I have the time and decided to replace the spider web on each frame edge using photoshop tools e.g. clone stamp etc. - although other tools such as healing brush do not appear to work in the timeline as I expect.Â
My saves so far have resulted in a whole clip being saved with all following frames being modified similar to the first edited frame. Perhaps I am not using the editing procedures in photoshop from the timeline correctly.
Â
How do I save frame by frame in the timeline?

My band has just recorded our first music video. We are very happy with the result except that the glasses on me (the lead singer) during the close-ups look very funny, they are very skew, and the "frame" does not go behind the ear.
What I would like to do is to import the video and edit these clips frame by frame, where this is showing. There is about 15 seconds totally of me in close-up - 15 x 24= 360 images. The clips are about 1-3 seconds long. And I want to edit all of these short clips of me and then make it a full-length video again.
I made a quick edit on one of the images from the video. The shades still look a little funny but it gets better when the frame goes behind the ear. If it's possible to correct the "glass" part of the shades as well.

I have just upgraded to lightroom 4 and can not see the flags in the film strip. They are checked in the preferences as on, but they don't show. Also some folders say no photo selected in a folder, while there are photo's inside?

Downloaded LR4 this morning, backed up and upgraded the catalog. None of my photos appear in the Develop Module when I switch to that module from the Folders, though they appear when I switch from a Smart Collection, but not a standard Collection. It shows "No Photo Seclected". Regardless of where I switch from, no photos appear in the filmstrip in the Library or Develop module, though the location menu just above the filmstrip shows the correct number of photos in that particular folder. I'm on a late model iMac, OS 10.7.3, with 12 GB RAM.

I just bought Lightroom 4 (student version) and fully registered it. After importing photos to the library, nothing appears in the filmstrip on the bottom of the screen. Do I need to turn something on to make them appear? It is making navigation much more difficult while developing (I can only view one image at a time while developing).

Sometimes the filmstrip will not allow me to click and drag and change the order of pictures in the filmstrip. The pics are locked in place. It allows me to drag an image to a new position in the filmstrip but when I "unclick" the pic just moves back to its original position. Other times a black bar appears between the pics where I want to move the pic and I can rearrange the order of pics. I cant figure out why I can do this sometimes and sometimes the filmstrip wont allow me to change order.
Â
Also, I can move pics in one file while not being able to move them in another. So it not some universal setting but seems to be file (catalog) specific.

When in Library mode I want to move around the filmstrip (at the bottom) when in Loupe View. The same can be said about being in Grid View. I am able to go to the next or previous slides with the arrow keys and by pressing Page-Up and Page-Down it jumps ahead/back 10 or slides. How do you jump to the first or last slide? When I push Home or End nothing happens. I thought it was supposed to jump to the first or last slide.

I've been working with a copy of lightroom 3.6 on a windows 7 machine. The problem I'm having is that I have a really hard time telling at a glance which images have the blue color label from the unlabeled grey ones. Is there any way for me to change either the background color of the filmstrip (like you can the background of the main workspace) or else change the hue/tone/saturation/whatever of the blue color label itself?Â
Â
I know how to change the name of the label, but that doesn't visually differentiate between the two colors. The monitor is color calibrated, and I have the same difficulty on various monitors, so this is a physical limitation of my own, or a limitation of the program.Â

I have the filmstrip set to auto hide/show. As I browse through my library, I'll pick an image to work on in Develop. I may then want to work on an adjacent image. Instead of going back to the library to select it, I want to hover over the film strip and select the image that is 1 or 2 away from the current one.
Â
When I first hover over the filmstrip, it shows my current location but then quickly slides to a different part of the strip. Usually no where near where I'm working. I haven't been able to determine a pattern. Sometimes it will go to the beginning, sometimes the end. Sometimes to an image I was working on the last time I closed Lightroom (if I am still in that folder).
Â
I need the filmstrip to follow me as I move through a set of images.I don't remember having this problem in 3.x
