View 1 RepliesI'm working on macro insect photography, and I used to find it really useful to be able to hover my cursor over an image in the filmstrip and see the aperture, shutter speed and ISO pop up. It was great to be able to see at a glance what sort of settings were producing better photos. Now, however, when I hover the cursor over an image, it's the date and time of capture and the size of the image that pop up (and the file name as before). I've combed through Preferences to see if it's a Lightroom setting I can change, but I can't see anything relevant. I've googled away and searched these forums, also to no avail. I know I can go to the Metadata panel in the Library module to see those photo attributes, but that's more cumbersome than what I used to be able to do. Is there any way to revert to the seeing the aperture etc at a glance the way I was previously able to? (I'm using Lightroom 3, pondering upgrading to 4).
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhy doesn't the filmstrip open when I attempt to open multiple photos in camera row? I'm using CS4.
View 4 Replies View Relatedi am trying to do some rotoscoping (editing film frame by frame). I create the filmstrip in Premiere, but when i try to open it with Photoshop, i just get a blank single frame instead of the whole filmstrip. The filmstrip file is about 3.5Gb so i know it is not a blank file. as i do not want to have to return Premiere and Photoshop and purchase another film editing solution.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe question is, is there a viewable photo bin or filmstrip available in CS3 and how do I get to see it? What I mean is, if I have two or three images open in Photoshop the only way I get to see which one's are open is to choose Window > View > Tile or Cascade images. Elements and Lightroom have a bin/filmstrip at the bottom of the screen in which all open images can be seen. Once again, apologies if I've explained this badly.

"Could not complete your request because the file-format module cannot parse the file".
Does anyone know how to sort this problem?
HI,I have moved the content in the Filmstrip view to create a vertical display + preview. In the vertical display, I now have two columns of very tiny thumbnails. How can I change the size of the thumbnails?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have just upgraded to lightroom 4 and can not see the flags in the film strip. They are checked in the preferences as on, but they don't show. Also some folders say no photo selected in a folder, while there are photo's inside?
View 6 Replies View RelatedDownloaded LR4 this morning, backed up and upgraded the catalog. None of my photos appear in the Develop Module when I switch to that module from the Folders, though they appear when I switch from a Smart Collection, but not a standard Collection. It shows "No Photo Seclected". Regardless of where I switch from, no photos appear in the filmstrip in the Library or Develop module, though the location menu just above the filmstrip shows the correct number of photos in that particular folder. I'm on a late model iMac, OS 10.7.3, with 12 GB RAM.

I am unable to move the photo within the crop (I don't see the "hand".)Â
Viewing photos in the Filmstrip?
View 1 Replies View Relatedusing lightroom 4 in print module only filmstrip is grayed out and will not print, it is normal in other modes
i just upgraded the catalog to Lightroom 5 and i have exactly the same problem.
I just bought Lightroom 4 (student version) and fully registered it. After importing photos to the library, nothing appears in the filmstrip on the bottom of the screen. Do I need to turn something on to make them appear? It is making navigation much more difficult while developing (I can only view one image at a time while developing).
View 3 Replies View RelatedSometimes the filmstrip will not allow me to click and drag and change the order of pictures in the filmstrip. The pics are locked in place. It allows me to drag an image to a new position in the filmstrip but when I "unclick" the pic just moves back to its original position. Other times a black bar appears between the pics where I want to move the pic and I can rearrange the order of pics. I cant figure out why I can do this sometimes and sometimes the filmstrip wont allow me to change order.
Â
Also, I can move pics in one file while not being able to move them in another. So it not some universal setting but seems to be file (catalog) specific.
When in Library mode I want to move around the filmstrip (at the bottom) when in Loupe View. The same can be said about being in Grid View. I am able to go to the next or previous slides with the arrow keys and by pressing Page-Up and Page-Down it jumps ahead/back 10 or slides. How do you jump to the first or last slide? When I push Home or End nothing happens. I thought it was supposed to jump to the first or last slide.

Windows 7 PC
64 bit
Run LR5.3 on computer - not CC version.
Â
PS - I have looked at several of the various cheat sheets on shortcuts and cannot find this.
My edit information ( stack counts, ratings picks etc) is showing in grid view but is no longer showin in the filmstrip even though my settings (view options) are set to show details.Â
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been working with a copy of lightroom 3.6 on a windows 7 machine. The problem I'm having is that I have a really hard time telling at a glance which images have the blue color label from the unlabeled grey ones. Is there any way for me to change either the background color of the filmstrip (like you can the background of the main workspace) or else change the hue/tone/saturation/whatever of the blue color label itself?Â
Â
I know how to change the name of the label, but that doesn't visually differentiate between the two colors. The monitor is color calibrated, and I have the same difficulty on various monitors, so this is a physical limitation of my own, or a limitation of the program.Â
I'm running LR 4.1 RC and recently all the icons disappeared from the photos in the film strip at the bottom. I can no longer see star ratings, the icon for the quick collection, crop icon, or anything else. I did View Options (Right click) and everything is checked on.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the filmstrip set to auto hide/show. As I browse through my library, I'll pick an image to work on in Develop. I may then want to work on an adjacent image. Instead of going back to the library to select it, I want to hover over the film strip and select the image that is 1 or 2 away from the current one.
Â
When I first hover over the filmstrip, it shows my current location but then quickly slides to a different part of the strip. Usually no where near where I'm working. I haven't been able to determine a pattern. Sometimes it will go to the beginning, sometimes the end. Sometimes to an image I was working on the last time I closed Lightroom (if I am still in that folder).
Â
I need the filmstrip to follow me as I move through a set of images.I don't remember having this problem in 3.x
I just installed Lightroom 4 on my mac. Now there is a yellow shading across the bottom of the film strip. How can I remove that? Why is it there?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm running on a 30" monitor which is really great for workflow efficiency. BUT... the thumbnail images in the filmstrip are just too small and I'd like to be able to enlarge the thumbnail size.
View 3 Replies View Relatedthe film strip at the bottom of my screen shows only a black blank strip. I have turned on every option that I can.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I modify a photo from the Lightroom filmstrip in Photoshop or NIK filters and save it, the new version doesn't return to the filmstrip unless I close Lightroom and then reopen it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have Lightroom 4.0, and I'm editing pictures, but I have come to notice that the panel between the Filmstrip and the Viewer is missing. This was the panel that gave me the ability to check the "Show Mask Overlay" and set the Mask Pins to different display options (Auto, Hide, Show, etc.). I can't figure out how to get it back. Toggling all of the panels does not work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using Photoshop Elements 11, using WIndows 7 Operating System. I have a new camera Canon Rebel T5i, and having problem viewing images in raw format (cr2).Message in PE11, states, "Camera model not supported by installed version of Camera raw."
Â
Canon software views images. Suspect my minimum camera raw plug in version does not support this new camera..I am unable to locate in the software any menu item that allows me to view the camera raw plug in version.
Have no choices in the camera calibration tab inside camera raw plugin. Use CS3 and Raw 4.6. Are choices only available in later version or PS? Also in Raw preferences choice for camera serial number and also setting as defaults. Where to enter serial number etc.
