Photoshop :: Font Conversion: Mac To Windows
May 13, 2004my colleague has many cool fonts, on a Mac. I use a PC. How can I convert them? I use Adobe Photoshop 7, and I probably have other Adobe programs at my disposal.

Photoshop :: Conversion Between Mac And Windows
Oct 8, 2013I work in a school district that is running an old version of Adobe Photoshop CS3 in a Macintosh environment. The Macs are old 10.4.11 machines that would not print. So, I set up a Windows Server with Macintosh accessible folders and copied files to this server. I then had newer Windows 7 client machines available and copied the files over to their client machines. Some of the files came over to Windows as CS3, but others didn't. They show up as "File" in the format and not as CS3. Is there a workaround for this, or another way to get these files to Windows?

Apr 10, 2012We get .eps files from a customer and the fonts have been converted to "outlines" or "curves". This one font they used is Avant Garde Condensed and whenthe lowercase letters "f" and "i" are used together like in the word "fish" are connected together with no dot over the "i" (see attachment).
My question is this:
Is this supposed to look this way (see attachment) is this some sort of special character in the Avant Garde font family? Or is this some sort of freak accident caused by converting fonts to outlines?

Apr 11, 2014Every time I place text into the InDesign document it is automatically converted to Arial Unicode MS Bold with underlines. I want to turn this off, but can't figure out how.

Apr 4, 2012I have fonts that I've installed in both my Windows XP and Windows 7 PCs. They show up in the Control Panel - Fonts and open, they show up in Word, but do not show up in Photoshop CS4. I see in the CS4 Mac forums that there is a way to register a font in CS4, but I can find nothing on doing that on a Windows PC.

I purchasde a new Pc with Windows 8, and the Photoshop and Bridge Interface is not readable, it is miniscule, Adobe, Microsoft and DEll cannot fix problem. So I am returning my PC, and need to purchase a new one, if the font is big enough, say size 12 or 14 (normal size) on window 7?

Jun 24, 2013I really like the new font anti-aliasing modes in Windows, but i got one big problem: If i rasterize text its gets a bit thicker and lose all it's touch.
Here's an example: (rendering was: sharper. the top one is the non-rasterized text. looks a lot better). Test it on your own... just zoom into your type and rasterize it, then you see how its gonna change.

Aug 14, 2013I have Arial Narrow Bold etc. installed in the Windows fonts folder but it still doesn't show in Photoshop CS6. Arial Narrow shows but not the bold version. It shows up in InDesign, however.

Oct 28, 2012I'd have thought (since this has been a problem since 9 and that HD displays are fairly common now) it would have been addressed. I still can't find a way to increase the font size in PE 11, though. Am I missing something? It seems the menu fonts have increased in size in proportion to what Windows font size I'm using, but all the other fonts in PE 11 are still too tiny to read meaning (unless I am missing something) the software is still unusable (unless I sacrifice resolution).

Jun 10, 2013I am running x6 on windows 7 64 bit. Recently Corel has started displaying (font not found) next to some of my fonts. When I open Bitsream Navigator it shows that the fonts are installed and in use. I have also checked and made sure that the fronts are installed on the computer itself.

Jan 24, 2012My colleague and myself have a problem with the font Lucida in the header of a plan we designed. He's running Windows Vista and I am running Windows 7. I designed the header, but now he has to make some additional plans with that same header but if he opens the file with that header, strangely enough the font Lucida he uses is not exactly the same as the one I've used although the properties show they're all the same. Another colleague with Windows 7 has no problem with it. As you can see in the attachments I've added, the '1' is not exactly the same as well as the '-' so texts don't fit the boxes they're in anymore. We also can't really alter the font, seeing as Lucida is the font our client uses and requires for this project. We've tried overwriting my colleague's font by my LUCIDA-font in the location C:WindowsFonts but this didn't resolve the problem either.

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 :: Opening Font Navigator In Windows 7?
May 10, 2012I have a problem opening Font Navigator in Windows 7.
When I click the exe startup for Font Navigator Windows 7 asks if it's OK for this program to make changes to my computer. I answer yes, the screen flickers and Font Navigator fails to open.
This is a recent problem and I can't trace it to any changes on my PC. I have completely cleared Corel Suite from the computer and reloaded the applications.

Anytime I use it, it converts to this font and each time I need to change a font weight, I must do it manually. As you can imagine, I use our company font all day so this slows me down quite a bit. Have you heard of this? It seems like some sort of font virus. I've researched removing it, yet can't seem to find the original font file to get rid of, which is even weirder."
We tried moving the font family to the trash, emptying the trash, rebooting the machine, and re-adding the font family and it still is happening.

When I convert a Raw image to Jpg the file size is reduced but opened in CS3 the Image size appears unchanged. What is the correlation between image and file size? I thought the Image Size was the horizontal number of pixels x the vertical. If this is correct and the jpg has less pixels how can CS3 show it as having the same image size?
in addition what is the use of Image Size other than to indicate the print size at a given resolution?
