My art director has created the master artwork for our website. I have succesfully cut these up in photoshop and and implemented them on our site. Now that I am going back to make new buttons or modifications to existing buttons, when I do an export, the font appears to be coming out at a much lighter weight even though I have confirmed with my art director that we are using the same weight. The other major difference is that he is creating these on a mac and I am modifying them on a PC. Can anyone think what else might cause this? When I try and open this document in Fireworks it is not recognizing the font style from photoshop. It is saying the font does not exist. It almost seems like this is a interoperability problem between photoshop and fireworks yet Fireworks is the one not seeing the other fonts.
Roboto font (by Google) is installed on Windows 7 system, but the regular weight is missing in Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign (both CS6 and CC, and same issue in Windows 8).
The font:
[URL]..................
All weights are installed properly, the only one not listed in adobe programs is Roboto-Regular.ttf.
The weight of the parts is correct but if the quantity is greater than 1 in a weldment  the BOM collumm does not do the math and multiply the quantity X the weight. If it is a formula what is the syntax?
I tried Nexus font (finally) and don't see why people have mentioned it. I don't like it and uninstalled it quickly.Which font manager do you think is better than Font Nav?
photoshop elements 7. i am in the USMC in the reserves and during boot camp, i was really sick with pnemoniua and looked horrible. as is my luck, they took our boot camp pics were taken while i was sick. i want to change my pic and add weight to my face so it doesnt look so horrible. i literally look like i belong in a camp during nazi germany, its that bad and ive been looking at these pics for 2.5 yrs now. how do i add weight to pics? i know ppl take weight away to make ppl skinny etc so im sure i can add to it instead but i do not know how. any help would be greatly appreciated. i can send the pic as well if anyone owuld like ot tackle this for me.
I need to get to know the size/weight of a custom shape, measured in points. I basically need to get to know which of two almost similar shapes are the physically biggest.
I am overlaying a name on a metal plate and have a font style and size picked out, but I need to increase the weight of the individual letters, mainly the "light strokes". I tried the tedious process of outlining each letter with the Magic Wand tool, expanding by 3 pix, and filling, but one letter would then touch the next, so selecting the next letter would then incliude the letter I'd already expanded. Outside of picking a different font, is there a way to increase the weight of a group of letters? I'm using PSE 7 on a Win7 computer.
I am making a conatct sheet of photos. I wanted to define the outside edge of the photos, so I used the Rectangular Marquee to draw an outline around the perimeter, and then I went to Edit>Stroke (Outline) Selection.  I chose the weight of the line (I made it 3 pix) and successfully had the outline. I then saved the file.  But now I want to change the weight of the line (down to 1 pix). But I can't figure out how to delete the 3 pix line.Â
I've a problem with "DWGtoPDF"-Plotter of Acad2013. I give the textstyle "arial" in Acad and plot it to PDF. In the PDF-Sheet i see the Fontname "ArialMT" in the document-options. I want to give the PDF's away and fear, that he gets an error while opening.
After opening a file from another designer, this Chinese font has taken over my "omens – regular" font file. Anytime I use it, it converts to this font and each time I need to change a font weight, I must do it manually. As you can imagine, I use our company font all day so this slows me down quite a bit. Have you heard of this? It seems like some sort of font virus. I've researched removing it, yet can't seem to find the original font file to get rid of, which is even weirder."
We tried moving the font family to the trash, emptying the trash, rebooting the machine, and re-adding the font family and it still is happening.
I had posted in another thread about wanting to clean up a signature and make it look more font like. I tried that and it seemed to be pretty difficult due to the amount of random in a hand written signature.
So I think I'd like to approach this from the other direction. I have a font I like but I don't want it to look like the font (way too common). Is there a way to alter the font (not the entire font set or even to create a new font but just for a one word Logo)?
I'd ideally like to connect two of the letters and also modify the shapes of the letters just a bit.
Is there a way to specify a given system font that should be substituted for a given missing font? For example, the document I'm working with contains CourierStd and CourierStd-Bold which are not installed on my system. I would like to set Illustrator so that any time a document that contains these fonts is opened, Courier New and Courier New Bold are substituted automatically.
An eps file opens without any problem with the preview as .pdf on Mac OS 10.7.5In illustrator when I open the same file, the main font is not recognized and no warning said the font is not available.
I have an old figure that is high poly and skinned to a bone skeleton. I want to rig it to a CAT rig for some of its quick animation features. Ultimately I want to be able to export the model into UDK to learn 3d demonstration and game development.
I have aligned a CAT rig to match the bones of the old figure. If I select and link the bones to the respective bones in CAT rig I can get the figure to animate perfectly and quickly, but when I export to the UDK through FBX the figure is severely distorted. I've found that the old rig needed to match the rotational axis order to the new CAT rig bones which worked a little on several of the limbs, but the initial translation of each bone does not get transferred giving an offset to the bones that still distorts the figure.
I want to rig the character with the CAT, but the figure uses painted vertex weights. I could spend an immense amount of time to try and replicate the quality done by the vertex weights, but if there is a tool or script that could speed up the process. I am looking for a tool that would be able to transfer vertex weights between bones. Ideally I'm looking for a workflow like so
1. Load figure 2. Add CAT bones to skin 3. Edit envelopes 4. Select bones or vertexes to copy 5. Copy vertex weights 6. Select bone destination 7. Paste vertex weights
The paste should then delete the influence on the original bone to complete the process.
I've seen something very similar to what I've been needing from this artist that goes by the name of Sun Dawei. A search for "Dawei Sun transfer vertex skin weight" minus the quotes gives you a video that would visually show the process I'm looking for. I don't know the policy on putting links for videos that I don't own so I won't put the actual link here.
I would like the script that Sun Dawei developed, but I could not find a download for it. He might have wanted to keep his work private, so I'll respect that.
I have a problem right now with the weight map visibility.
On PC one, everything is alright, I create a cube, add a weight map property, push ''W'' and start painting. A blue color now appear on my black cube..
On the second PC, I do all the same, but their is no blue color that is revealing under my brush. So I check in the Script Editor and their is a list of Array like it is suppose to create.
I suppose the problem is not the weight map but some visibility option that is turn off, but I can't find them.
Why is it when I increase the lineweight, on the current layer, to a thicker lineweight from the default .25mm, it remains the same thickness/weight? I can change everything else, style, color, but not the weight. I need it to be a thick line, instead of the normal thin line.
I have a problem in viewing Arial font in normal weight in illustrator cs6. In indesign the font is working in all weights. I tried to install the font again, but nothing has change. Â I am working on a pc, windows 7 Â I add 2 pictures, one from illustrator and one from indesign
I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but every now and then, my stroke weight rounds up. When I try to make the stroke 1.5 pts, Illustrator automatically rounds up the stroke weight to an even "2". This is very annoying when I need the line to be 1.5.   It doesn't always happen, but it drives me crazy when it does. what I've turned on, and how I can turn it off?
