I built my resume in Photoshop and typically I've been exporting to a PDF and then handling link creation within Adobe Acrobat itself. I'm wondering if there's a way to streamline this process such that links can be created within Photoshop and exported directly into the PDF file. This would save me the hassle of recreating links in Acrobat every time I modified the resume in Photoshop.
I've read about a Rich Content PDF extension/extra that is typically located in the Extras folder. I was able to successfully locate it and have Photoshop use it, but I don't know how to get links to actually be recognized by this plugin. My original hypothesis was to use slices (designating a region as a slice and then assigning it a link), but the Rich Content PDF export option did not recognize links through slices. Is there another way to do this or another way to create links in Photoshop such that it can be exported to a PDF (either through this plugin or otherwise)?
I'm reconstructing an old document originally developed with PageMaker. I've recreated a half dozen pages hopefully with more uniform techniques. The original line art for the pages was created in AutoCad and some were scans. To bring them into InDesign some of the art is now in psd format and some of the newer art is in Illustrator AI format.
I've noticed that the pages with photoshop art print pretty quickly (about 30 seconds). The ones with Illustrator art take much longer (about 1:30 seconds). They go through a flattening process.
I print these 50 page books on demand and that additional time would add about an hour.
I guess the question is whether this is normal and to be expected or not. If it is I'll likely turn everything into raster before going into InDesign. That, however, seems like quite a bit of extra work. Going from AutoCad to Illustrator (to add stroke) then to PhotoShop to change to raster and then into InDesign seems like a pretty convoluted work flow.
I have created a project in PSE 11- it's meant to be a booklet, and I would like to add clickable links to the project, by way of live links, as well as making parts of the project clickable. The goal is to make it a Tumblr post, and save the multiple pages as an Adobe Acrobat pdf file.
My weak Google-fu tells me that I need to use the slicing tool, but I don't think that is available in Elements?
I am trying to add links to an image and then add it to my web page...I have been trying to use the slice tool in photoshop which works great for the links but I can't seem to achieve a transparent background in the save for web...
Inside of photoshop the image is transparent and when I save for web (image) the map.png file is not created...map_01.png, map_02.png and all others are created but not the map.png file When I have saved for web (html) I have tried inserting the html into an iframe on the page and the image looks and functions correctly but there is no transparent background because it is an <iframe> and not the actual .png.
if is there a way of having text be created as links on for a webpage on a banner that is created on photoshop, bearing in mind that buttons are not being used.
I'm having a little problem exporting images that I slice up and put links into. I'm trying to make a website but it does not allow script and the only way I know how to export it so that the links work is as a .swf file. Is there any other way to do it so that it does not have to run on script or no? I am using Photoshop CS2 and ImageReady to export it.
I am editing a photo (jpg format) in Photoshop CS3. I insert links to a slice within the photo. If the file is saved as a pdf the links will work. But whenever I save the file as a jpg or gif or any other type of picture format the links no longer work.
I am trying to make a picture that I can insert into an email so that they can click on a certain part of the picture (not the whole picture) and they will be redirected to a webpage. Is there another way I should go about doing this?

I have moved folders on my hard drive and want to delete the old links in elements organiser but the delete option is greyed out. I have tried to reconnect but this simply generates a new folder leaving the old one. I am new to photoshop and simply want to start oragising over again and delete all folders but cant. I have tried uninstalling and re installing but it installed listing all old links again..
Under Windows images, only the first link Tile is active. That means I can only have one layout open at a time. The next four in that section are grayed out. I need to use the last one, Consolidate all to tabs.
I re-created preferences and also did a system restore to a prior date without success. I am working on a class assignment and digital scrapping layout.
I use Photoshop Elements 9 with Windows 7 and backed up both my pictures and saved my albums as a XML file. Then my computer got a virus and the hard drive had to be wiped clean. I restored my files and pictures from an external hard drive. I reinstalled Photoshop Elements 9 and then uploaded the albums from the XML file I saved. All the album names are restored, but the pictures are not connected to the albums! How can I restore the albums with the pictures without starting over and dragging each picture into the album? I thought the XML file saved the picture/album links?
Following a Backup and Restore process to move from PSE 11 on Windows 7 to PSE 11 on Mac (Mt. Lion) I have broken links. Other catalog info is intact (file name, captions, tags, etc.). I moved 6 catalogs...only 1 was successful.
Background: I started with PSE 10 on Windows 7...installed PSE 11 and converted all catalogs successfully. Used File, Back Up (Full) process with an external drive to move the files and catalogs to PSE 11 on the Mac (10.8) using File, Restore Catalogs. I suspect that the issue may be in the portion of the Restore process that allows the choice between Original Location or New Location...seems like I tried both. The Adobe instructions in the PSE 11 offered step-by-step instructions but didn't elaborate much on the Location issue. I tried File, Reconnect, Reconnect All Files without success.
Had to do a clean reload of Windows and PSE 8.0 and my pictures. I saved the Program files folder for PSE 8.0. How do I recover the Album and Tags back to the pictures? Are there files that I can restore from the saved PSe 8.)?
All of a sudden my clickable links for Elements 5 are not working, even from the program menu. The only way to access it is if I right click on a photo and choose Elements 5 as my opening program. I am worried that if I do an unistall/reinstall that Elements 5 will no longer be compatible with my Windows 7.
I have a problem. I need to redesign the catalog for a certain company. Actually, it's a minor update, but the previous catalog, only available as a PDF has many clickable links inside it. When I open this PDF in CorelDRAW X5, update it and resave it, the links are gone. Is there a way to import the PDF with links, and save it also with the same links?done yesterday
I have a multi page document that contains links to various large tiffs. The filesize of cdr is decent to work with and it preserves them until I publish it to pdf .
Any changes made to document after this operation will increase the document file (at the next save) like the images are embedded , not linked. However, in the links panel still show up as links, but properties of images mention their full resolution instead of a thumbnail size, and working space enhanced view show that.
I tried for test with one page and only one image and confirmed this behaviour.I couldn't find any solution to this and I keep closing the document after publishing and open it again for changes.
How do I maintain links and bookmarks in a PDF? I recently created a multi-page document in X5 with links and exported to PDF. All of the links worked successfully in the resultant PDF.
Yet when I imported the PDF into X6 (and X5) for editing, the links had all gone. I'll need to edit on a fairly regular basis and I don't want to re establish the links (a lot) every time.
Having a problem with a document i created that contains instructions how to use one of our customers application, the document has an index that points to different pages but also a few urls that point to servers or into jboss application servers(long url) when i save the cdr file and export to pdf the links are not always right, the index pointing to top of page 5 now points to a https url and one of the https urls can point to top of page ...
This is rather frustrating since a simple edit requires me to verify all the links, for instance a url that points to a customer internal wiki page is correct in the cdr file but wrong in the pdf.
I have tried different settings for the pdf export but i haven't seen any difference.
I have noticed that links are changed even when i just save the cdr file and reopen it later, not all but some, seems rather random which ones.
Running windows 7 64 bit 4 gig ram, corel draw x5 is updated with sp3, the cdr file contains 29 pages at this point.
I am trying to convert several drawings that are linked to an SQL database to SQL spatial. The drawings are from a Autodesk map 2004 system. I have Map D 2013 64Bit installed on a laptop along with SQL server 2012 RC0 (Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 11.0.1750.32 Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 6.1.7601.17514 Microsoft MSXML 3.0 4.0 5.0 6.0 Microsoft Internet Explorer 9.0.8112.16421 Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0.30319.269 Operating System 6.1.7601).
To keep my rouge laptop off the company network I exported our existing SQL data to a access database that I placed on the laptop and converted back to SQL and linked it to the 2004 drawings. That part worked fine. I would like to convert all of them to SQL spatial. I have converted a small drawing but it took a couple of hours. I am in the process of a larger drawing that has 60,000 entities and it has been working for 8 hours and only has 4550 of them completed. I am using the output to fdo connection.
Several buildings are linked and share coordinates. How can the host file be used as the datum base Finish Floor 0 and all the other buildings relate, even though at different elevations of floor levels? Right now the sections show FF 0 for all of them and they are at different heights.
Need to get rid of a couple of CAD links from a detail view, and only that view. How do I do this without potentially deleting the links from other views?
My company produces drawing sets that show the same information in multiple places. I.e. an attribute in drawing A is also shown in a different block in drawing B and a different block in drawing C and in a table. This creates problems in that as soon as one piece of information changes, you have to change it in 14 places... and it creates typos. A LOT of typos. So I'm trying to come up with a good solution as to how to link these pieces of information.
I know how to use data links in a table... but is there a way to link block attributes? Also, am I just barking up the wrong tree? Because in my head, you'd have to manually link all of these things for every new drawing, and they can be easily broken.
How to manipulate data links? I want excel tables to come over and use their native excel formatting. I have a heck of a time getting them to look right (text size, font, justification, cell size, etc) and then when I update the link after making changes to the XLS, they get all cattywompus again.
I've never been real strong on text management in CAD; I'm always scaling text and doing poor drafting things like that. So I looked into Tablestyles and things a bit and thought I had it, but not so much.
Is it possible to put links into AutoCAD drawings?
For instance could I set up an icon / text that if clicked on opens another drawing, pdf, word document, excel document or other.
example: if I have a note in the drawing saying "see drawing A123_456_789 for details of power cable" could I put a link next to it that took you straight to the drawing?
If it can be done is it possible to save the drawing in a format that somebody without AutoCAD could view drawing and use the links.
I redirected a user to the links in the Jewel tute but the problem is that while the tute sends you to the correct plugin thread, the download links in that thread are broken.
What we need is Zoom Blur Deluxe & Radial Blue Deluxe. To make matters worse they go by a couple of aliases...
I would put this is the thread for plugins but I'd have to do it for both.
I have the .DLL saved for both, so as a workaround for the broken download link, can I upload the file (if I can identify which one it is, not always that straight forward) & how do I upload it? As ab attachment?
I'm putting together some design specs and I want to create a clickable table of contents that will navigate to a different section of the document. IE. artboard #27
From what I've seen thus far it looks like I can add links but only to websites and they are only clickable in PDF mode.
Is it possible at the very least to make my clickable TOC when converting my document to a PDF? and, is it possible to make it clickable even if it is in .ai format?
