Have downloaded the trial version for Photoshop CS6 and will start studing Photoshop next week and was therefore going to buy the program as well. However, I'm struggling getting it to work properly, a message shows up when I start Photoshop saying "Photoshop detected graphics hardware that is not sufficiently supported. I've done what they are suggesting, i.e. untick the "Use Graphics Processor" in the performance box but this make the 3D option not working at all.I've got Windows 7.

After recently installing Corel Draw 12 we discivered we could not open our existing .cdr files. It would make sense if we were trying to open V:12 files with an V:5 but it seems like V:12 should support V;5 .cdr files.

I'm a Creative Cloud user and recently downloaded the new Photoshop CC. I tried to open an existing file and got the following error message, "3D features require a minimum of 512MB of vRAM. Photoshop has detected less than that on your system. Updating the driver of your graphics card may resolve the issue."
Â
While I'm fairly proficient in Photoshop I'll admit that I'm a bit lost when it comes to my computer. whether I actually need a new graphics card or perhaps my settings are wrong? Here is some information about my computer:
Mac Pro
Processor 2 x 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
Memory 20 GB 667 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM
Graphics ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 256 MB
Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63b)

I was led to believe that GPU acceleration features (like smooth zoom and rotate) were supported in the PS CS4 Standard edition. Under GPU Settings, Performance Preferences, it states "No GPU options available with Photoshop Standard". To me this is misleading advertising - I would have considered the Extended version if I had known.
Maybe this will help others not make the same disappointing assumption I have. I think Adobe should make this clear in the future. It really does make me feel slighted.

I've used CS5Extended and ACR for NEF images. I just switched to more recent PC, downloading PS, and it won't open NEF files, saying "camera model not supported by installed version of Camera Raw." It had no problem with my D800 on the previous PC. What do do?

I just started a new job and they gave me a new Macbook Pro with Retina. I'm accustomed to designing all of my website mockups at 72dpi, but when I open any of their already designed files, they're super small on the Retina screen. I have to plug in a non-retina external monitor just to work with the files.
Â
What can I do to work on the much more beautiful Retina screen? For new files moving forward, should I be setting up my documents at twice the resolution or size?
